possible pregnancy with copper coil

Had my copper coil put in after my DD was born in 2013 however I'm now 6 days late for my period and have been feeling nauseous and got sore books and felt very emotional yesterday. Did have 2 days of period type pains but nothing came of it. Has anyone else got pregnant with the copper coil? I know contraception isn't 100% but I had it put in because we didn't want another baby. Not sure I want or could afford another baby at the moment

Feeling very nervous this morning while trying to drink a stupid amount of water

I don't think they always remove a tube with eptopic but like you I'd be devastated

So just got back from the hospital and I'm still non the wiser. The internal scan showed a sac but no yolk or heartbeat so had more bloods done and had the coil taken out. They will rescan me in a week. Can call for my blood test results later to see if HCG levels have gone up. The Dr reckoned I'd be around 4-5wks pregnant but I'd have myself down as more 5-6 so still not sure if the pregnancy is viable or not. The sonographer did say my coil was right down low and not in the correct place so that's why Iv got pregnant

Just called for my blood results and on Tuesday my HCG level was 400 and today it's 600 that doesn't mean anything to me really??

It means that the pregnancy hormone level in your blood has risen, which would indicate that you are pregnant.

I thought it was meant to double in 48 hrs? Not other sure how they work me out as 4-5wks as I think it should be more. Have I just ovulated later?

Jenjen u have prob just ovulated a little later than you thought especially with having the coil fitted it prob messed ur hormones etc up x

Anyone who had a coil and got pregnant did you spot after it was removed and if so how long for? Have been spotting/brown discharge for a couple of days and didn't know if it was cos of the coil? Not had any pain tho x

I spotted for less than a day when mine was taken out and there was no pain. The whole removal took less that 5 minutes. How have you been? Do you have another scan or blood tests booked?

Hi Boogers Iv had brown bitty discharge when I wipe since Tuesday but the Dr had a good old poke about Tuesday then Thursday my coil came out so not sure if that's why I'm spotting? Other than the spotting Iv been ok thanks. Should get a phone call on monday/Tuesday to arrange another scan

Just read this! Have a copper coil and haven’t been well the past few days, random spotting, feeling sick 🤢 really not in a position to have another child as we have 2 already. Any updates on jenjen85?
