I hope everyone suffering from the Horrors of Hyperemesis will find this thread useful as a source of support and information.

There's no TMI on here - can't be by definition - and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning as much as they feel the need to.

MOH's wonderful website is full of useful information on this illness:
sites.google.com/site/pregnancysicknesssos/
Another invaluable website is:
www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk/
If you need help in obtaining medication, this phone number is
brilliant:
024 7638 2020

Lastly, the NICE guidelines on treatment are useful:
cks.nice.org.uk/nauseavomiting-in-pregnancy

I would like to thank everyone who has given such invaluable support and advice on this and on previous threads.

Remember when you are at your worst, 'This Too Shall Pass'. It really will.
So many women on this thread have thought they couldn't get through this, but they did.

Glad you like it, squeezed. Make sure you move over to the new thread. Don't want you to get lost. (Mother Hen goes over, flapping and clucking).

Toothbrushing; I probably managed to brush my teeth 20 times in 8 months! Luckily I ended up only needing one filling -and a replacement rather than a new one. Was very pleased. Try mouthwash. You shouldn't brush for 15 mins von anyway (acid softens the enamel and then you can do damage brushing). Try and find a mouthwash that works for you - will help with the health of your teeth and will help you feel a little fresher, as well as taking away nasty vom taste. I used a child's one -a fruity one. Be prepared to need to try a few til you find one that doesn't make you sick though! If you can just about manage to brush your teeth, try different pastes, again kids ones might wirk better (I know some people have used a fennel one).
