Just wondering really.
I remember finding out I was pregnant and had a 6 week scan and around that time I'd googled what the baby was like, what size it was etc and read it was the size of a lentil, so my baby was always called lentil. Even now at nearly 20 weeks I still call him lentil and so do my friends. Part of me is wondering whether I'll end up calling him that when he's born as it's stuck so much!

What were your names?

I'm only 8 weeks pregnant but I one day referred to it as squidge and it seems to have stuck! Smile

Donnakim · 30/07/2015 20:45

He one I lost was Wilbaforce....

This one is Spud which I picked at random and has stuck big time!

teacherwith2kids · 30/07/2015 20:47

Random names from the obscurer parts of the Old Testament, using the tried and tested 'finger point at random' technique.

DS was Arphaxad.

DD was Oholibamah.

ScrambledEggAndToast · 30/07/2015 21:22

Fidget Jones

Even though he's a boy but it was a perfect name as he was quite a wriggler.

Lisaderbs1 · 31/07/2015 07:52

Our 9 year old niece said she was going to call it scampi and that has stuck!

MelanieCheeks · 31/07/2015 15:43

My cousins called theirs Achy Breaky. That kinda gives away their surname Smile

Strokethefurrywall · 31/07/2015 16:24

Ds1 was Pudgy (ironic given that he was tiny and skinny when born)

Ds2 was The Hobbit

PopsyWind · 31/07/2015 18:43

All 3 have been called Eggbert before being born, then Bert as babies (including dd!). Actually children in general are all known as 'the Berts' in our house.
Now I come to think of it Berts can also be used for adults if required...

Kasterborous · 31/07/2015 18:48

Bathsheba as she loved nothing better than wriggling around when I was in the bath and sticking her head out. What was weird was we later found out Bathsheba means seventh daughter and she was our seventh pregnancy!

Mummageddon · 31/07/2015 18:59

Haddock, squiggle and beanbo.

Weirdly, those names just stuck!

RoaryMouth · 31/07/2015 19:27

Another Bean here. Little Bean. Beanie. The Beanster.

HappilyMrsR · 31/07/2015 19:37

We call ours The Prawn. Because it looked like a tiny shrimp atone reassurance scan. Feels weird to share that and I'm sure it sounds weird to everyone else but we love it and wonder if we might still call baby that after he/she arrives ....

SoftBlocks · 31/07/2015 20:00

Flump/ Flumpy. Until she was about one.

Pupsiecola · 31/07/2015 20:32

Bumbeans. Started off as Bambino, then Bambeano, then turned into Bumbeans.

MakeHayIsOrange · 31/07/2015 22:28

Pfb was Spawn until dh banned it...

Doublebubblebubble · 31/07/2015 22:36

Oh damn I forgot to put what I've been calling mine after the 20 week scan. DD got called sir Digby chicken Caesar ( we thought that she was a boy until we had a 4d scan at 36 weeks - annoying but we do still occasionally call her this when she's being crazy) for this pregnancy we've been calling the bump Arnie - because he looked so much like the terminator from the screen.. Dh also likes to talk to the baby in an Arnie voice... X

cunchofbunts · 31/07/2015 23:28

We called DD, before we knew her sex, Cleopatra for a girl and Genghis for a boy but Genghis was the one that stuck.

I'm pregnant again and DD hugged my bump and said: Let's call the baby: Simba and that's now stuck too.

juliecs · 01/08/2015 07:41

I'm only two weeks pregnant and when I googled it it said the size of a poppy seed, so poppy so far x

Tanito279 · 01/08/2015 08:29

Baby. I still say "hello baby" to her at 22m lol like I used to when she was in my tummy.

Sapat · 01/08/2015 10:35

Dc1 was junior. Turned out to be a girl.
DC2 & 3 were bump or baby. I still call them baby.

docmcstuffins1 · 01/08/2015 10:55

DH has started calling it Heston, it's started to stick already!

Wafflenose · 01/08/2015 11:39

Joey

bopoityboo3 · 01/08/2015 12:16

DD was snoop - friends used to call the baby snoop doggy dog but the doggy and dog were changed to my DH's nick name which ends oggy and our surname which ends og. ifswim.

DS - was Cosmo - DH was trying to convince me to name DS this but I didn't like the name for a baby so that became bumps name instead.

Current has yet to be named have only just had 12 week scan.

Woodsageseasalt · 01/08/2015 18:11

Cleatus the foetus ????

ThatJustAintCricket · 01/08/2015 18:15

Jelly Bean. Similar reason to yours OP, I read at around 10 weeks the foetus is the approx size of a jelly bean and it stuck.
