Just wondering really.
I remember finding out I was pregnant and had a 6 week scan and around that time I'd googled what the baby was like, what size it was etc and read it was the size of a lentil, so my baby was always called lentil. Even now at nearly 20 weeks I still call him lentil and so do my friends. Part of me is wondering whether I'll end up calling him that when he's born as it's stuck so much!

What were your names?

Ours is minibaby, but my mum calls him the wriggler. I fear both will stick when he finally arrives in the next few days!

Dc1 was beautiful boy. I knew he was a boy. Dc2 was max after dark angel as I knew I had a fiesty girl in there. Right both times.

Beaker because we had ICSI and started out with two, Bunsen & Beaker. At the 5-week scan there was only one so the bump became just Beaker.

Dave. Purely because OH has a bit of an obsession with the name! We don't even know if it is a girl or a boy Grin but if it is a boy, his middle name will be David Smile

Parasite Grin, at the moment, 'who' s a good little parasite's it is clearly parasitising my fat as I have not put on any weight yet!

mylaptopismylapdog · 29/07/2015 19:04

Horace no idea why?

manateeandcake · 29/07/2015 19:14

DD was another Nugget. The current bump is either Minibeast or Thumper.

I've had lots of fun reading through these some of them are brilliant!

My DD was also Lentil. I still call her that now at two years old! She sings along to "You are my lentil, my only lentil, you make me happy when skies are grey"!

Gillian1980 · 29/07/2015 20:24

Usually just The Baby, or sometimes Bubs or Bubba. Though I call our kitten Bubs too!

We've had her name picked out from the start but I can't bring myself to use it until she arrives - I think I'm still scared of losing her. She's arriving next week so not long now until she'll hear her name :)

WonkyDonkBonk · 29/07/2015 20:51

Fallulah-Banana. I don't usually like double barrelled names, but this seemed to suit her.

CoffeeAndOranges · 29/07/2015 21:18

Ours is generally called 'the baby' although sometimes we do call it after one of those little red wax wrapped cheeses thanks to our surname. Not yet made the joke about 'a little cheese that likes to get out' yet, saving that till I'm massive!

My B and SIL called theirs Bob until their little girl was born!

trinitybleu · 29/07/2015 21:56

George, after the Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck cartoon with the Abominable Snowman ... "I'm gonna love him and hug him and call him George" ... Georgina once we knew she was a girl Smile

IDreamOfPuffins · 29/07/2015 21:59

"Baby" in a sort of robot-voice, for some reason.

Muskey · 29/07/2015 21:59

Giblet because I got pregnant at christmas

Cirsium · 29/07/2015 22:03

'Cake' as DH would joke my bump was just a result of having eaten too much of it.

LowlLowl · 29/07/2015 22:21

DS1 was Pip (being about the size of an orange pip when we first found out about him). I'm pregnant again and we were obviously more on the ball this time as he/she is Sesame Grin

bringthethunda · 29/07/2015 22:24

Both given nicknames depending on where we discovered I was pregnant. Pasha (on hols in ibiza) and currently shamu ( on hols in florida)

The Bun...

I had 'a bun in my oven' according to OH and we didn't know the sex so it was a better alternative to 'it' which he didn't like!

It stuck though, so DS is 'his actual name' BunSmile

That may have made me identifiable (waves hello)!

Dc1 was Gilbert - even before we knew for sure he was a boy. DD was Gertrude Smile

AvaAmulet · 30/07/2015 13:09

Egg.

I'm only 5 weeks on Saturday, but I've had to explain to DD, who's 2, that she can't jump on mama's abdomen any more as there's an egg in there that will become her little brother or sister. She knows that baby birds hatch from eggs and tells people she hatched from an egg in mama's belly Blush

blowinahoolie · 30/07/2015 18:50

Baby.

MoreCakePlz · 30/07/2015 19:14

He was Button until I started to show. Now he's Bump Grin
