Just wondering really.
I remember finding out I was pregnant and had a 6 week scan and around that time I'd googled what the baby was like, what size it was etc and read it was the size of a lentil, so my baby was always called lentil. Even now at nearly 20 weeks I still call him lentil and so do my friends. Part of me is wondering whether I'll end up calling him that when he's born as it's stuck so much!

What were your names?

Bubba Gump in the Bump or Bubski

When she was born somehow Bubski morphed into Mooshi. We still use this nickname and dd is nearly 14. I get funny looks when I call across a shop 'Moosh, come and look at this'. People must wonder what the hell I named my child!

Ours is shrodinger. After shrodingers cat. Because we are not sure if they are in there or not.

BleachedBarnet · 29/07/2015 08:15

My friends call her 'the bean' and ask me things like 'how's the big bean doing?' Smile

We also call her 'strawb' due to one week the size being apparently a large strawberry, and also because I've been craving them so it's seems like I might just birth a giant strawberry at this point!

To a lesser extent DP and I call her by the name we've chosen.

Nothing up until 20 weeks scan when we found out it was a girl. Mt TAs dd wanted us to call her katniss and it stuck as a bump name (she's not katniss now she's been born)

My DS was Little Peanut - he is still Little Peanut now and he will be 2 in a few months!

This baby is Jellybean for now.

Roseybee10 · 29/07/2015 08:31

Baby no 1 was beanie
No2 was squidge
Dd1 was pickle and I still call her it
Dd2 was fidget and dd1 still calls her fidget lol x

TheBookofRuth · 29/07/2015 08:31

DD was Nellie the Bellyphant - my bump was HUGE. Don't think we had one for DS.

TotallyKerplunked · 29/07/2015 08:33

DS was moony which morphed into moomin, that was due to him determindly waving his bum at the early scans. However all the in-laws still try to call him this and buy moomin themed gifts all the time and he is afraid of moomins! For this reason DD was always just called baby.

Sprout and Mini

Not even sure why. First was a boy we called him sprout before he was born and second a girl (we found out with her very early) and she was Mini. Both we used before we had decided on their proper names, although they still get called them occasionally.

ToastyFingers · 29/07/2015 09:21

Ours is known as The Potato.. I told my sisters early on and they came up with a code name for the baby, somethig tells me that it may stay as a nickname when it arrives in a few weeks time Smile

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 29/07/2015 09:41

I call my tiny human Doodle - when I told my close friends I was "for shizz up the spout" we were banding about quotes from the film Juno.

One of them is "That ain't no Etch-a-sketch. This doodle can't be undone." - after MC'ing last year I was desperate to be pregnant again and from the start I've always felt positive that this little one is in there to stay & Doodle reminds me of that.

clarabellski · 29/07/2015 10:32

the parasite

chopsface · 29/07/2015 10:39

Just simply 'bean' :-) x x x

happymummyone · 29/07/2015 10:43

Squiggle! Because at the stage I found out I was pregnant, the baby looked less like a baby and more like a weird blobby squiggle!

LalyRawr · 29/07/2015 10:45

Mine was called Freeloader.

She's still freeloading...Smile

Doublebubblebubble · 29/07/2015 10:48

DD was Pip because she was the size of an apple pip when we found out. Smile

Ds (current pregnancy) has been nicknamed sausage. X

itsonlysubterfuge · 29/07/2015 10:53

Her name? DH was convinced she was a girl from the moment we found out I was pregnant. It use to drive me nuts in case she wasn't a she. Before we went for gender scan around 20 weeks, I would call her baby/the baby. She's 3 and I still call her the baby.

dotdotdotmustdash · 29/07/2015 11:01

My Ds was known as Ichabod Skeletaur from the first scan until he was born.

MrsC30 · 29/07/2015 11:05

I had a 'jelly bean' baby early on now I have 'naughty baby' cos she kicks and squashes my insides soooo much!!!!
