Just wondering really.
I remember finding out I was pregnant and had a 6 week scan and around that time I'd googled what the baby was like, what size it was etc and read it was the size of a lentil, so my baby was always called lentil. Even now at nearly 20 weeks I still call him lentil and so do my friends. Part of me is wondering whether I'll end up calling him that when he's born as it's stuck so much!

What were your names?

Gonk- I don't think we'll name him that but you never know!

mummyguts · 29/07/2015 13:20

Mine has been Greedy Guts since the very beginning, (hence my name on here) I'm 27 weeks now and realising that it will probably be called Greedy Guts forever poor thing Blush we shorten it to GG and might just call them Gigi

GingerDoodle · 29/07/2015 13:25

Bean...

GingerDoodle · 29/07/2015 13:26

Sorry posted to soon. Bean then Grape; Grape stuck to the end.

BadgerFace · 29/07/2015 13:29

We have Little Bean too for the current pregnancy.

I am struggling to remember what we called DD to start with but once I was about 25 weeks and we knew the name we were going to call her that morphed into Moomin (which she is still called a lot, or just Moo).

mummyneedinganswers · 29/07/2015 13:33

Ours was called ducky as in my 7 weeks scan she looked like a duck lol but now at 22 weeks she's called macie cz that's what were naming her x

RhubarbAndMustard · 29/07/2015 13:38

DS was called Tails, because DP did this joke that we named him after a flip of a coin.

60sname · 29/07/2015 13:38

Steve. He started off as Steve the Blastocyst (ie way before we knew the actual sex). People do keep asking if that's his real name though. No because he's not going to emerge as a 40 year old man

ILoveCwtches · 29/07/2015 13:40

Dd was sprog, sprogling or sproglet depending on how we were feeling. We didn't want to find out the sex & wanted something personal to call her rather than just "baby".

StormyBrid · 29/07/2015 13:45

Totally outing myself if anyone who knows me in RL is around... DD was called Stormageddon, or Stormy for short.

fanjodisfunction · 29/07/2015 13:55

my first was bubble, second was bumpkin and currently its bumble.

Stainlessteel · 29/07/2015 13:56

Mine is The Grub. The paperwork folder I gather all my test results and health care bills etc. in even has 'The Grub' written on it. Still haven't picked a real name, but have a feeling in the family he'll be called Grub. My parents still call me 'Baggins' and I'm 30!

sjd114 · 29/07/2015 14:21

Sprout. ( I don't even like sprouts) so have no idea where it came from!

X

Sleepybeanbump · 29/07/2015 14:23

Bean.

The nurse at the EPU at 7 weeks said during the scan 'it looks like a kidney bean, but trust me, that's the head.

He's William now (decided name really early in a fit of organisation and only 18 weeks) but still Bean occasionally.

CurlsRUs · 29/07/2015 14:25

Dean. I was pregnant during 2004 Olympics, and every time I cheered on Dean Macey in the decathlon, the baby kicked and wriggled rather dramatically - so Dean it became. Didn't know if it was a boy or girl, but it was nice to have something to call it!

Funnily enough, I didn't use the name for DD once she was eventually born...

Shockers · 29/07/2015 14:27

I must have called mine Joe because I have a birthday card from 4 months before he was born that was to 'Shockers and Joe'. The oddest part about it is that I was convinced I was carrying a girl, but actually had a boy... named Joe.

Newlywed56 · 29/07/2015 14:43

We called ours KP (I also read about the size of a peanut lol so you can see where we got KP from)

Emjones88 · 29/07/2015 15:04

Bean sprout for a week before getting shortened to sprout. DS nickname of bean stuck, he's now 8 1/2 lol. I think sprout might end up sticking as well. Poor thing, being due mid December! Lol

Emjones88 · 29/07/2015 15:05

sjd snap!

TheWoollybacksWife · 29/07/2015 15:18

DD1 was Alien as I watched the Sigourney Weaver film while I was pregnant and the alien squirming about in the host's stomach was just what I was experiencing Grin

DD2 was Alien 2 and DS was Alien 3 (I think the third film was really called Aliens - obviously I should have had twins Grin)

Maths88 · 29/07/2015 16:48

Dinosaur because dh decided baby looked like a dinosaur at early scan!

Cheshirehello79 · 29/07/2015 16:51

Beanie / beanster since the first time I found out and went for an early scan at 7 weeks it was just a little bean

buntingbingo · 29/07/2015 16:55

The baby, or It. Shock I can't stand Bean or the bump or even worse just Bump, "how's bump?" Makes me shudder.

applecore0317 · 29/07/2015 17:05

Baby Apple initially as it has part of our name in it... and other times Grim as DH got all creeped out the first time he felt a proper wriggle, and said it was grim (charming), it stuck as a name that he still calls her occasionally now that she is here
