I'm only five weeks but the nausea is creeping in.

My colleague loudly slurping his tea opposite me is not helping

What helped you ease the sicky feeling?

Something dry like crackers? Mini cheddars are my saviour - it also helps to always have something in my tummy! Hope it eases soon for you.

Superworm · 29/05/2015 08:07

I ate mountains of Imperial mints. That and fruit, especially apples, they're an anti-emetic apparently.

Stopping my iron supplement

KnitFastDieWarm · 29/05/2015 08:08

Anti emetics and five weeks off work, I'm afraid! Grin

I'm 15 weeks now and still being sick every day but I don't have that constant 'I'm on a boat' sensation, so it does improve!

Thereshegoesagain · 29/05/2015 08:10

Sleep and loads of it. If I didn't have enough sleep I'd feel much, much worse.

Glindathegoodwitch · 29/05/2015 08:24

Sucking on chewy sweets I discovered yesterday!

mslightyear · 29/05/2015 08:28

Fizzy flavoured water and salty snacks here. Its the only thing I can drink and snacking on pretzels and ready salted crisps seems to help. Sometimes.

I can't even look at a ginger biscuit without wanting to heave though. Bleugh!!!!

Steph1502 · 29/05/2015 09:04

Breadsticks and ginger tea worked for me xx

sherbertlemon17 · 29/05/2015 10:45

Salty crisps, but especially sucking on hard boiled sweets. These saved me on a daily basis!

Hard boiled mints or sweets.

Water

And water biscuits (the really thin crackers)

BabyBNumberThree · 29/05/2015 10:58

eating breakfast as soon as I can helps me. I liked bacon sandwiches which are greasy and stodgy helped. now I'm trying to be good and have had porridge the last few mornings. toast, plain biscuits and crisps to nibble on also helps me x

WeePoppy · 29/05/2015 11:44

I found that eating something every couple of hours helped. I was mostly eating tangerines between meals as it was the only thing appealing to me at the time...

Hophop987 · 29/05/2015 11:50

Breadsticks. I lived off them for the first 12 weeks

goodnessgraciousgouda · 29/05/2015 11:55

Sugar free hard boiled sweets. Also for hunger pangs when your body is saying "I'm starving" but you only ate about 90 minutes ago and have been sat on the sofa ever since.

I hate that they are so hard to find here!!!

It would be nice if you could buy JUST lemon, or strawberry or orange. I have loads of cherry flavoured sweets which I don't want. sigh.

A lot of people recommend dry or salty crackers, but I found they made me so bloated it was incredibly uncomfortable.

Make sure you're getting enough fluids as well.

ArcheryAnnie · 29/05/2015 12:06

Eating something that doesn't taste bad when it's travelling in the other direction.

I was sick as a dog the whole time, and the only time I wasn't sick was when I was eating. I don't recommend this as a solution, though, as I'm still fat and my DS is now a teen!

niceupthedance · 29/05/2015 12:14

Fizzy water and hula hoops.

Number3cometome · 29/05/2015 12:25

Raffertys · 29/05/2015 17:14

Thanks, she. Slightly challenging at my desk in an open plan office Grin

Salt & vinegar crisps (Discos or hula hoops ideally). Fizzy haribos. Strawberry milkshake. Weetabix with cold milk and lots of sugar. Not all at the same time obviously :-)

The smell of anything cooking made me feel sick. I could eat a proper meal providing I hadn't cooked it and, indeed, had been banished to the bedroom for a lie down whilst he cooked and cleared up with the windows open Wink

Hope it passes soon

buntingbingo · 29/05/2015 17:43

Rennes or tums. Honestly they are a miracle cure.

Pandoraperoxide · 31/05/2015 23:57

Sleep
Twister ice lollies
Mint imperials
Fresh tomato soup

LBOCS · 31/05/2015 23:59

Plenty of sleep and to drink.

Clementines

Sniffing mint teabags when I got a whiff of something stomach turning.
