Big congratulations again sunbathing. Such wonderful news. I can't believe that the birth of a baby to a lovely lady I'll never meet has made me cry with happiness! SmileBlush

gingerbreadmam · 31/05/2015 09:28

congrats sunbathing hope you are both well and loving every moment. lovely news!

Metalhead · 31/05/2015 09:50

Huge congratulations sunbathing! Wishing you a swift recovery.

Also a big welcome to the newbies.

One day to go until my 12 week scan, thankfully we're travelling back from our holiday today which should keep me distracted, and then the scan is early morning so I won't have to wait too long.

Brummiegirl15 · 31/05/2015 10:29

Congratulation Sunbathing that's amazing!!!

Morning all. I've got a bit of a tmi question... I need to ask about sex.

Did peeps DTD in early pregnancy? I was told after 1st mc by midwife for 2nd pg to refrain from DTD until post 14 weeks...Confused

Anyway I understand that, and in other 2 mc's we did that and hey it still went wrong.

Anyway had bonkers dream (having so many of those) and woke up feeling frisky so me and DO had a bit of non penetrative fun... Sorry TMI!

Anyway now I feel rather uncomfortable and it was all a bit intense.

And now I'm worrying.

I need to steer clear of all activities for the moment don't i? Any advice?

Thanks Envious we did this non piv this morning and it's still stressed me out!!

Steering clear of everything for now! It's eased but it freaked me out

longestlurkerever · 31/05/2015 12:42

Yeay sunbathing congratulations!

brummie I haven't abstained. No one told me too. Sometimes I get contractions when dtd or afterwards which freaked me out at first but I had them with dd too so knew not to panic. Up to you what you're comfortable with and I think most on this thread have steered clear of dtd but for me the first trimester is long enough as it is.

Hi, could I join you please?

I've been lurking for a few days now but I wanted to read the whole thread before joining. Also, today marks the exact same point in my last pregnancy where I started spotting. So far, so good this time.

I had an early mc in March but I am now just over 5 weeks pg again. I had a lovely, boring, uneventful pregnancy 3 years ago (dd, 2.6) but since the mc I cannot stop worrying about losing this one. It’s reassuring to know that I am not the only one who is symptom spotting every slight cramp or twinge and I dread what I might find each time I go to the toilet.

This looks like such a great thread as there are all different stages of the journey here. The big bumps and new babies will help us all keep the faith, while us newbies can hand hold and keep one another sane. Smile

I was on the very supportive ‘ttc after mc’ thread and it’s lovely to see some family names from there.

Anyway, if you’ll have me, my stats are:
MarysPrayer, 37, 1dd (2.6) 1 MC March 2015. Edd 31st Jan (based on LMP)

thesmallbear · 31/05/2015 13:44

Welcome Mary, here's hoping your stay is long and uneventful. All are welcome here. I will add you to the stats next time I update Smile

P.s. you've done bloody well to read the whole of this great big long thread!

Fizzie100 · 31/05/2015 13:55

Hi ladies, hope everyone is well. Hope you don't mind if I join too. I've been lurking for a while and you all seem lovely. I had a MC in February, my first pregnancy and really struggled. But now I'm 11+4 and trying to be as positive as I can. I've already had a couple of scans done private and one at EPU as had a bit of spotting. Have our 12 week scan this week so really hoping all is still well. EDD is 18th Dec based on LMP but aware this may change this week as I know I have a longer cycle. Part of me is so terrified that something bad may have happened in the last two weeks since we saw heartbeat . Does it ever get any easier? Hope everyone is feeling good.

MarysPrayer · 31/05/2015 14:01

Thanks thesmallbear Smile

Great to see a familiar name Fizzie!

Treaclepie19 · 31/05/2015 14:29

If im honest brummie ive been abstaining but that's because it would be so painful. I have vaginismus so I'm pretty sure it'll be worse in pregnancy.
No other reason to avoid though as far as I'm aware.

Welcome marys and fizzie :)

Can I be stupid for a minute? Nail varnish - everyone carrying on as normal?
I've not bothered so far but now I'm going to start wearing sandals I fancied a change.

Thanks llama, I think I'm going crazy...

I'm not sure about Paracetamol if im honest but every time I've been to the doctors with any pain they've said they're not concerned at all about Paracetamol use.

broodylicious · 31/05/2015 15:13

treacle, while you can still see and reach your toes, honey, paint em ;) xx

Raffertys · 31/05/2015 15:23

I saw the out of hours GP yesterday and was prescribed 2 paracetamol tablets four times a day. Obviously she knew I was pregnant, and it wasn't for a pregnancy related problem don't make me say the word gout

Brummiegirl15 · 31/05/2015 15:32

You can absolutely still take paracetamol. However that's all you can take. 2 x 500mg every 4 - 6 hours.

Nurofen is a no
