Congrats juggling,

I can't believe some off you have bumps already (even if they are bloat lol) it's still o lovely home for your babies.

I am measuring 8+2,that 3 days ahead of my dates. I seen a heart beat and everything was just as it should be.

Felt abit of a fool as one of the nurses who has seen me through all 3 miscarriages came out to congratulate me but in front of other poor women waiting for the scans. I was shocked how busy the epu was today. I witnessed people come out smiling and others being passed in to "the room of doom" or so my dp calls it. My appointment was 3.40pm I kept myself busy at work all day then we went out for a beach walk before my evening nausea kicked in.

I am so pleased and relieved and thrilled, amazed I got this far, there's just no words. Having said that I will probably still wake up and worry tonight.

Amyyy27 · 21/04/2015 20:35

Woohoo! Over the moon for you onefoot Smile

keys27 · 21/04/2015 21:04

Whoop whoop so pleased for you onefoot hun. Xx
welcome juggling. Congrats in pregnancy. I'm 7 weeks today so not far behind me

I think until we hit 16 weeks we will be nervous because of past experiences and history's. I wake up so nervous everyday counting the days down until my next scan however nausea is so bad boobs more sore and horrible taste in mouth. Got bad cramps tonight though hoping there growing pains they feel like period pains so it's worrying me. I'm only 7 weeks so got a long way to go until I'm in the all clear. When did people's symptoms really start kicking in?
Stupid question but does anyone know if u can have bubblegum ice cream from the ice cream van? I know u can't have the one out the machine which is the worst through summer lol but I didn't know about the lemon ice or bubblegum ice cream as I'm craving it.

Hi everyone,
Hope you don't mind me joining in.
Just found out I am pregnant and think about 5 or 6 weeks so should be due in December.

We have been trying for a baby for 8 years now and after a few failed IVF attempts one finally worked but we miscarried twins at 23 weeks. Finally gave up trying and adopted our amazing little boy 18 months ago : ) So as you can all imagine this pregnancy is a total shock!!!!

I know it's early days but I am stressing already, keep getting period like cramps, did anyone else get this? I know it's probably normal but just feels uncomfortable.

Hope you all don't mind me joining in.
Marg x

Amyyy27 · 21/04/2015 21:33

Hi margx congrats!! I get cramps all the time (now 10+4) and checked with midwife yesterday who was not concerned in the slightest (unless accompanied with bleeding) and reassured me it was just my body growing and stretching for the baby x

keys27 · 21/04/2015 21:34

Hi marg welcome hun. Oh wow sounds like you've been on a incredible hard journey already. I had my little girl at 27 weeks not much difference I was so lucky. But inbetween my pregnancies I've had two miscarriages.
the period type cramps are so normal I've got them now it's worrying me so much as I normally feel so sick this time of night and tired but I'm sure all is ok.
This is such a great place to be the support is amazing. Congratulations on the pregnancy can't believe it happened for u naturally after the ivf that's amazing. This little one was meant to be.
good luck on your journey xxx

Barbiedoll79 · 21/04/2015 21:34

One foot I am so pleased kept checking back all day to see how you got on!

Hi marg, what exciting news for you :-D I think some stretching pains are normal and mine have been a bit crampy (epau didn't seem concerned unless bleeding with it) if you're concerned though gotta be worth a trip to gp to refer to epau x

GirlSailor · 21/04/2015 22:08

keys I think the no to soft ice cream is a bit of misinformation. The ice cream you want to avoid is home-made stuff that's made with raw eggs. Anything processed will be made with pasteurised eggs, or more likely, no eggs at all and just milk or cream in the case of soft ice cream or milkshakes. So no more likely to give you food poisoning than anything else. Obviously, if you think the place isn't clean enough then avoid it, but I'd probably avoid everything from a place that looked that grim.

And if you want to make your own ice cream there are loads of egg-free recipes, which are actually a lot less fuss to make so I prefer them anyway.

Gr33dyeggs · 21/04/2015 22:27

Welcome marg! I hope you have a boring 8 months.
Great news onefoot.

gennibugs · 21/04/2015 22:37

Yay onefoot so pleased to see your update!

Welcome marg and congratulations. I'm 10+5 and still getting cramps - like amyy neither the midwife nor EPU seemed concerned by this so I think it's fairly normal.

chasingtherainbow · 22/04/2015 06:22

One foot that is just fantastic news!

Welcome marg. I am very, very sorry for the loss of your twins. Congratulations on your new pregnancy and I'm wishing you a very boring 8 odd months ahead.

So I haven't been sick in two days. I was quietly thinking it was easing off and then bam. First thing this morning!

Amyyy27 · 22/04/2015 06:41

Aww chasing hope you are ok! Im trying not to move in bed as feeling very sick! (But desperate for a wee!!)

Gr33dyeggs · 22/04/2015 06:42

12 week scan today. Nervous and excited. Not til this afternoon. I hope they don't offer overrun too much with my full bladder!

chasing I've just been sick, but I did have a late night.

Thinking of you sasha i have everything crossed for good news for you tomorrow x

Margx · 22/04/2015 07:39

Thanks everyone : ) makes me feel so much easier knowing others have the same thing. Hubby keeps telling me to relax and enjoy being pregnant but you all know that's easier said than done.

SashaKerr I think your right, after all those years of trying I can honestly say that getting pregnant was the last thing on my mind : )

Good luck to those having scans : ) I am counting the days till we can have one.

greedy best of luck for later. 12 weeks already! Hope they don't overrun too much.

sasha I am keeping everything crossed for tomorrow. Really I am. The pressure on you and DH will be immense right now so arguing is understandable. Is it in the morning?

I was so tired and sick this morning I'm now very very late for work. No idea what excuse to give. I was late yesterday too for the same reason.

chasingtherainbow · 22/04/2015 08:46

Greedy what times your scan.. Ahhh can't believe it's here. Can't wait to hear all about it!

I'm back at work with 8 week old charge today. God she's scrummy. She scared the life out of me the first few weeks but I think I'm ever so slightly getting used to the idea of my own baby now and she's making it easier to remember that it's not that bad Wink

chasingtherainbow · 22/04/2015 09:02

I take it all back. She's just pooed everywhere.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 22/04/2015 09:07

Oh but newborn poos aren't bad! DD's poos smelled like caramel.

Greedy good luck for later.
Sasha thinking of you and sending positivity for tomorrow.

For the first night in ages I had a long good sleep last night, no waking up for the loo, or the slightest twinge of 6am worrying about what today might bring and I havn't checked my % chart yet (but will after this post) I feel so much better and for the first time like I am aloud to hope it will all be ok.we talked about the 12 week scan and we are going to have a private scan at 10 weeks as my last miscarriage was at 9 weeks. I am near Liverpool so maybe it just cheaper up north (assuming you are all in the south) I have found a place that scans for £55,so will be booking that today. I know also need to make a booking on appointment, but my nice doctor is off another week yet.

It's lovely and sunny here so I am going to take my ds swimming then on a road trip across Liverpool to see my family. Hope you all have a lovely day and the sickness stops soon.

jugglingmonkey · 22/04/2015 09:26

Good luck to everyone having a scan - fx for you that everything is fine and healthy.

I just saw my HV, she is lovely but scared me a bit, talking about the last mc. I am just crossing everything and willing this bean to stick!

onefootinthebed · 22/04/2015 09:41

Ooh and welcome to math too.
