16 weeks and started bleeding, what do I do?

I've just been to the toilet and noticed blood. I'm not sure what to do now. My last pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 9 weeks and I rang the early pregnancy unit at the hospital. Do I do the same now I'm 16 weeks?

How are you op? I would go to A&E especially if the cramps are getting worse.

Thanks ring your local Gynae unit. During my 1st pregnancy i had quite a few bleeds and they would tell me to go along to them. (A+E sent me there after my 1st bleed) They did a scan on the Gynae ward that night.

The bleeding seems to have stopped but I was feeling crampy all night. Need to call work then I will call the number on my notes.

Called number on notes, that's for after 20 weeks. I need to speak to gp who will refer me to A&E, who will refer me to gyne. On hold to drs now.

if you go to a&e they will refer you to epu usually same day

Have spoken to Dr and she said she's booked me into the ward I just need to turn up.

I also had a bleed at 16 weeks, I rang the labour ward who said to go to A&E and then I was sent to APU. I had a scan and baby was fine and no blood in womb. They said it was an inflamed cervix. Not sure what that actually is. It was all very scary but thankfully Bab wad fine. Good luck today xx

Am at hospital, they said the opening of the womb is closed and they couldn't see any blood. Have just tried to find heartbeat but couldn't find it. I'm waiting for a scan now.

fingers crossed for you - i had a HUGE bleed at 14 weeks, and DC is now a healthy 10yr old - Get a scan before making ANY decisions xxx
