Another thread for the lovely ladies who are pregnant after miscarriage :)

Thanks happy! After a quiet twenty four hours I had some juice this morning and woke him up a bit... But I'll keep calm. Also I'm so much bigger on a daily basis I probably shouldn't panic - a visible bump does help!

happygojo · 30/03/2015 10:29

Mine still looks like a pot belly more than a bump, I am 21 weeks today. I have another scan on Wednesday morning due to having an uncooperative child in my belly, so at least I can see them again and hopefully be reassured!

I don't really feel like I am getting bigger one week to the next though

Littlelady33 · 30/03/2015 10:50

That's pretty normal happy, I just seemed to pop at about 22wks, and I'm otherwise pretty small so I think it's very noticeable (so I'm told by amused friends!). I've other friends who didn't show hardly at all until six months but had whopping babies!

Metalhead · 30/03/2015 15:28

Tentatively dipping my toes in here and waving hello to all of you who remember me from the ttc after mc conception threads - just got my BFP today at 10dpo and am still in shock! It's taken us a year since my mmc to get here and I honestly had got to the point where I'd given up hope of ever getting another BFP.

Littlelady33 · 30/03/2015 15:29

Welcome metal! I remember you from the TTC boards wonderful to see you here Smile

Littlelady33 · 30/03/2015 18:16

Is anyone else experiencing abdominal pain here and there? I'm 23+2 and sometimes have a horrible dull ache... I don't particular think there's anything wrong, just stretching I think, but any miracle remedies would be welcome.Smile

northdownmummy · 30/03/2015 18:54

Aha! I've found you all.

Been away on holiday for a week then had my booking appointment this morning.
Bit of an emotional mess

Congratulations Metal, so happy for you x

Metalhead · 30/03/2015 22:00

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, I'm really hoping that this little bean will stick as I'm not sure I could through all the stress of ttc again. At the moment though I'm feeling strangely calm... wonder how long that will last!

metal congrats and welcome, I felt very calm with this pregnancy. That's not to say I dont still have regular wobbles. But I did feel an undercurrent of wellbeing that I never had with my MC pregnancy. Does it mean anything? Who knows! But I am now 21 weeks and no reason for concern xxxx

Treaclepie19 · 31/03/2015 07:45

Congratulations metal :)
Lovely to see you here.

I've already looked into private early scans sunbathing and will have one around 8 weeks, which is when it all went wrong for me last time. So if I get past that, I think I might feel a bit more confident. At the moment I'm the same as you envious, not actually thinking about a baby but simply the fact that I'm pregnant for now.

The calmness disappeared pretty quickly last night when I went to bed, didn't sleep very well at all as too many thoughts going round my head...

Mslad · 31/03/2015 10:24

Welcome metal wonderful to see you here. For me, during the first 12 weeks I was quite calm as I almost accepted/assumed that it would be bad news again and a good scan was a bonus.....looking back I don't think such negativity was the best way to approach it, but I couldn't help it. The ladies on here helped so much though. And seeing others who had had a more difficult journey than me progress with their pregnancies and then have their babies did give me hope. I really hope it goes well for you. x

Mslad · 31/03/2015 10:28

Oh and to whoever up the thread (sorry I forget your name, I'm mid house move with limited wifi access) who pointed out that my conversation of kilos to pounds was wrong and she's 7 pounds- Shock Shock Shock that can't be right! I'm in Holland and some things get lost in translation so hopefully that's what happened here. I'll check with mw next week Confused

Hope you're ok North

It was me, mslad and I think envious is most likely right that they were predicting a birth weight.

Just back from my 16 week midwife appointment - heartbeat heard and very good indeed Grin BUT the bloody hospital lost my blood sample for the combined test! Hence my not getting the letter, so have just had to have the triple test. Grrrr. May be emailing PALS as it was really hard to get a vein in the first place and where has the vial gone?!

I've just had my booking appt this morning. All went well, but the first date she offered me for my 12 weeks scan was my original due date.
Apparently I'm high risk as I'm allergic to peanuts, have had a previous colposcopy and was strep b +ve with DS. As far as I'm concerned, it just means I'll receive extra care. I've booked a private 9 week scan but am in two minds about it.

Thepurplegiraffe · 31/03/2015 17:31

Fififolle I had an early scan at 9 weeks and thought it was perfect. It was late enough that once we saw the heart beat the risk was drastically reduced and also close enough to the 12 week scan that I was in less of a state about that one. Maybe a good idea if that will be a difficult day for you anyway...

northdownmummy · 31/03/2015 19:39

Booking appointment was pretty straight forward I was a bit of an emotional mess because I miscarried the day before my booking apt with my last pregnancy. So all a bit too much of a reminder.

I'll be 10 weeks on Thursday which is exactly when I miscarried before so if any of you have some tips on how not to drive myself crazy with worry is love to hear them.

I've spent the last hour lying in bed close to tears with cramps, only to finally let out a giant fart Shock
