Another thread for the lovely ladies who are pregnant after miscarriage :)

Aw treacle I wouldn't worry about posting about your concerns I imagine everyone on this thread completely appreciates how worrying pregnancy is and are happy to post reassurance.

I have an anterior placenta which was noted at my 20 week, I feel very little and have been told I could be 28 weeks before I really start to notice.

My news this week is I either seem to have my head in the fridge or fast asleep! 21 weeks and ravenous. Trying to eat fruit etc but sometimes there is just not enough in the house!!Smile

Boozle80 · 25/04/2015 06:44

Just wanted to jump in and say, although I felt some wiggles and kicks, it's I it in the last week I've felt frequent/regular movement and I'm 30 weeks now so try not to worry. This is my second baby too so I should technically have been feeling them far earlier. All is fine - I think that the baby is sometimes just in a funky position so I don't feel it so well.

Boozle80 · 25/04/2015 06:45

Woohoo Cloud, lovely to see you here :)

happygojo · 25/04/2015 07:32

Hi treacle I just wanted to second that a lot of the 'early movement' people feel is just wind. My placenta is posterior and now I can see baby wriggle when I am lying down which is weird... But an anterior placenta seems quite common and a lot of the girls in my August antenatal club aren't feeling lots of movement. So don't panic. I know it is hard though. I got into a tizzy last night because my baby usually moves in the bath and she didn't. I told myself we must just both be tired and need sleep so I got into bed.... THEN she decided to be awake lol!

I must say I am starting to feel quite positive about this pregnancy, i still worry but I actually look pregnant now and can feel her. Only took 24 weeks to feel less panicky!

Going to a baby talk today at the university and then to the cinema but that depends on my upper back which has been super sore this week

longestlurkerever · 25/04/2015 09:00

I think better to take the tablets treacle. Utis worse for baby than pregnancy safe antibiotics. Hope it clears up.

StickChildNumberTwo · 25/04/2015 09:26

Treacle we'll worry about you if you're not worried ;) Seriously though, hope the UTI clears up if that's what it is.

Welcome cloud, hopefully for a long and uneventful stay.

broodylicious · 25/04/2015 09:46

Hello cloud! Big congrats xx hoping the next nine months are totally boring xx

Littlelady33 · 25/04/2015 11:31

Welcome cloud! The movement worry is terrible isn't it? Mine has crazily active days then sometimes not much at all, I know I shouldn't even be really trying to track anything until 2&wks! It's my new obsession after the first twenty weeks of knicker watching....

broodylicious · 25/04/2015 22:36

I think dd has caught my preggo hormones.... Said earlier to her "I think it's going to rain" and she burst into tears, wailing "but I don't want rain, I only love sunshine!!!"

StickChildNumberTwo · 26/04/2015 13:22

Lower back is achey today. Or crampy. Annoying anyway. And in my head I know that this is all part of pregnancy and is probably entirely normal, but I can't quite bring myself to believe that it's just one of those things and not a sign of something going wrong.

Less than 2 days to scan....

mrsdiddlydoo · 26/04/2015 20:42

Evening ladies. Can I join you? As I type my crazy mind starts to wonder if I'm tempting fate, but sod fate. I want this baby and joining a pregnancy thread is not a cause of mc. I have a 2 year old ds and had 2 mc last year. Currently 6+1. On progesterone and heparin. Usually mc late in 1st trimester (10 and 11+5 wks).

Feeling reassuringly slightly nauseous. Thank god.

Hi diddly! Good to see you here, too! Let's tempt fate together Smile I'm 4+6 today, wishing time away more than ever. Why does the first trimester always have to drag so much?! Yay to feeling nauseous. I'm not really expecting any symptoms before 7-8 weeks or so. Currently thinking when to tell work...

broodylicious · 26/04/2015 21:02

Welcome mrsdiddly, I think I remember you from before. Huge congrats, fx for an uneventful pregnancy xxx

Hi and welcome mrs :)

I've been taking my antibiotics and feel a little better. Could be mind over matter but hey.
Had a weekend away with dh's family this weekend...if I have to hear again how:
A) They so hope my sister in law is having a girl so they can dress her in pretty dresses as boys clothes are boring
Or
B) How our bumps are so similar in size despite me being over 7 weeks ahead of her

I will punch someone.
They do nothing for my worries about movement or baby growing ok.
I've asked dh to speak to them about the gender issue as it's just not on.

Oh my goodness, do not watch Poledark! I've just booed for an hour!

Gr33dyeggs · 26/04/2015 22:16

Yay. Hi mrsdiddlydoo!

mrsdiddlydoo · 26/04/2015 22:27

Thank you for the welcomes ladies. Smile

cloud I'll probably tell my boss this week. He's crap at his job which is very frustrating on a day to day basis but he's been really supportive over the last year.

boozle I can't not watch the last poldark but will have to catch up when not at my parents. You've worried me a little now. I don't want to boo for an hour. Maybe it will make living poldarkless Sunday nights a little more bearable

Glad to hear you're feeling better treacle. Your in laws clearly haven't been shopping for boys then - there's loads of scrummy clothes out there! Ignore them and their silly comments. Re growth, I'm quite positive I don't need to tell you to try and not to worry and that every baby, mummy and pregnancy are different. Comparing bump sizes is natural but it could send anyone loopy - mine isn't totally round, for example, even now at 28 weeks, it has like a weird waist dent in the middle! Were your downs results ok (if you had them)? I think you have your anomaly scan soon, so fx that will alleviate your concerns on that front and you can start enjoying your pregnancy xx

Treaclepie19 · 27/04/2015 08:54

Thank you all. It's just annoyed me because they should be happy.
I've found some lovely clothes and really, what does it matter? He's a baby, they should be over the moon!

I don't even think my bump is small really, hers is just big (it's also not bump).
Rant over, thank you all.

Broody my results were 1 in 3000 for downs so low risk. 2 weeks til my anomaly scan.

happygojo · 27/04/2015 09:45

Ignore inlaws Treacle... boys clothes are WAY better than girls, and I am having a girl so not just saying it to make you feel better! As for bump sizes - google '20 week bump' seriously..... bump sizes vary SO much. You have skinny girls with big bumps and bumps that barely show in equal measure. Same with bigger girls. I think a lot depends on torso length too, I mean just generally how you are built.

Broody I have a weird shaped bump on most days too, baby seems to be quite low down

25 week MW appointment today. I hope everything is ok

Treaclepie19 · 27/04/2015 09:51

Thanks happy, good luck with your appointment.

I think the reason I don't look much different is that I'm a size 16 pre pregnancy, then lost 10lb in the first trimester.
I carry all my weight on my hips and bum so because baby is so low I don't look much different.

DH and I can tell easily.
Pfft, families.
