Aaaaah restless legs and feet. What a joy! And SPD. Come back insomnia, all is forgiven....

northdownmummy · 16/04/2015 06:19

somesort glad to hear your scan went well and that you've got a wee wriggler.

Boozle80 · 16/04/2015 08:44

Argh, scanaxiety kicking in!

cherrylola · 16/04/2015 08:47

Sorry to ask here, let me know if there is somewhere better to ask please.
Looking for advice, I have an EPU appointment tomorrow and unsure what questions to ask, procedure I could have (scan, blood test???).
I believe my current pregnancy, about 6 weeks, is another MMC. I had my first in February. I have absolutely no pregnancy symptoms and have been having very mild cramps for a few days.
From past experience my maternity unit is a bit useless. I want to avoid just being told to wait and see and do whatever I can to move things along and stop being in limbo.
Thanks

Boozle80 · 16/04/2015 08:54

Hi Cherry, it's horrible to be stuck in the limbo that is first trimester. You may get an early reassurance scan around 7 weeks, other than that they may give you progesterone. They can also track your hcg through bloods to check it's going up at the expected rate. Unfortunately, and unfairly, after one loss they don't tend to do a great deal. After the second and third they tend to put more things in place - that's just my experience though. My best advice would be to just refuse to be fobbed off and stand your ground. Lots of people here didn't have any symptoms to start off with and I had loads of cramping with this little one so try not to worry, although that's impossible to say. I hope it all goes ok and keep us posted.

Treaclepie19 · 16/04/2015 09:03

Is it your scan today Boozle?
Hope all is well :)

It is - I don't think I'm ever going to get over the feeling of dread whilst I'm waiting for it! All looked hunky dory and mini Boozle is measuring a bit big if anything - it's tummy is 36cm in circumference - that seems massive! Just waiting to see the consultant now and then we can breathe a sigh of relief for today at least!

Treaclepie19 · 16/04/2015 10:15

Wow that's fantastic Boozle! :)
I don't think any of us are good with scans. I realised at the last one I was holding my breath for most of it.

How far are you now?

That's great Boozle! I'm experiencing some weird sensations and pains around the belly button and across my bump in general. Nothing I'm worried about as I'm sure it's just stretching, he's clearly by the looks of me having a growth spurt (I'm 25+5). It does get interesting when I flinch or mutter 'ouch' during meetings though...!

Finally for the first time I have shed happy tears during a scan :)

Measuring 7w3d and a perfect little heartbeat Grin

fififolle · 16/04/2015 12:28

Fantastic news Rebecca so pleased for you x

Boozle80 · 16/04/2015 12:43

Hmmm, may have celebrated a bit too soon. Apparently babies measurements aren't quite right, they're checking me for GB in case it's that but doesn't seem likely. They're also not happy with squibs movements or position. Bugger...

Treaclepie19 · 16/04/2015 13:42

Fantastic Rebecca and llama :)

Sorry to hear that Boozle, have they said what they think is the problem?
I hope all is ok. Sending hugs.

Thanks for the kind words... Think I was in an emotional state when I wrote my post! Saw a doctor today about my morning sickness.. As feel beyond terrible... Feel sick all day without being sick. Which she suggested might be a positive sign after 2 early mc's. She also told me some states which suggest I have a 1/20chance of mc again... Oddly feel better.

Worried about starting work again next week though stomach hurts so much! Teaching and being sick do not go well together :(

broodylicious · 16/04/2015 15:35

Hoping it's nothing too serious boozle. It could be too much fluid maybe? That's what I had with dd and her tummy was a bit big. Got everything crossed it's something simple.

broodylicious · 16/04/2015 15:37

Should also have added that although her tummy was big and it looked as though she had too much fluid, she was born absolutely fine with no intervention or issues.

Boozle80 · 16/04/2015 16:02

Yup, I'm hoping it's something and nothing - we've been left with more questions than answers. I'm sure that it's just them being over precautious. We were in with the consultant for nearly an hour and a half and in all that time she only really said one positive thing!
Sickness and teaching definitely don't compliment each other - I had a bucket of hurl in my storeroom which I'd systamatically go and retch into, nice!

fififolle · 16/04/2015 17:24

Andif your sickness siy DS very positive, keeping everything crossed for you. It will be third time lucky for you. Roll on the first of May!

fififolle · 16/04/2015 17:25

*is very positive

Completely understand the anxiety, boozle Flowers I really hope everything's ok.

Had my fetal medicine scan today with a consultant who is the most beautiful man I have clapped eyes on in some time . Everything still measuring very small but just inside the normal range so he reckons there's nothing to be unduly concerned about. He has booked me in for a doppler scan at 23 weeks though, given my history.

So that's a relief and it was good to have DH there too, especially as he has short weeble legs himself Grin Beginning to feel like I spend all my time at the hospital, though...

Boozle80 · 16/04/2015 19:48

Lol Commander, one of my consultants was also rather nice on the eye. Made appointments rather pleasurable - although I strongly suspect he was gay - but that might have been a vicious rumour my OH made up after he met him...
