just to add to my stress, looks like my DD has chickenpox. Hoping to get a doctors appointment to confirm tomorrow and a bloodtest for me to check immunity

argghhhhh

fififolle · 07/04/2015 16:50

Just to up date you... I had a chat with DH re spotti and decided not to call our EPU. It's now settled. It was at the time I was due on so that's what I've put it down to. I have a really good feeling about this pregnancy.
Thank you again for your reassurance.

StickChildNumberTwo · 07/04/2015 17:07

Glad things have settled down fifi.

north have you had chicken pox? If you have then you should be absolutely fine. Hope getting an appt with your doctor is easier than ours - I was hearing from friends last night that they're now using the receptionists as a triage system then getting the GPs to do phone consultations to determine who actually needs to be seen. Because clearly telling a receptionist what's wrong is what everyone wants to do when trying to get a GP appt. I'm hoping none of us will need one before we move in the summer and that the new surgery will be more sensible.

thesmallbear · 07/04/2015 17:33

Sorry I missed you northdownmummy.

Great detective work enviousllama. I have messaged Missmakesstuff and Littlemissy on those threads, to check they're ok with their stats being updated.

Oh no north! Our dd had it the other week. She was fine in herself but didn't much appreciate the whole staying at home/incubation thing much. Our GP will not allow you to go into surgery to confirm the pox - it was obvious to us that's what it was - so be prepared for a big fat no to an appt. Have you had chicken pox before? If so, you'll be immune. If you're really concerned though, call your mw and she will call the place where your booking bloods are held (mine is in a lab 30 miles away) and ask them to do a swab test for immunity.

missmakesstuff · 07/04/2015 18:24

Hello all, just to update you properly. Baby boy with no name was born on good Friday at 1:45pm, 8lbs15oz of loveliness. I had him at home in water, 11 hrs labour and no drugs! Was amazing, I'm getting back to normal now and apart from still being a bit sore and achy it's all great!
I really cannot believe he is here, it's almost 2 years since my mc and it all, even labour, seems unreal still.
Good luck to you all on your journeys x

Thanks all!
gojo I'm relieved and a bit excited but equally scared. OH was not keen on another and only agreed after some big talks around regret. I'm quite worried how my ds will take it and how we will all fit in our 2 bed house. Plus scared of my age and OH (10 years older).
But I am smiling today! envious it was really wriggling around. It looked like I could see toes but Sonographer said just limbs. It was cute. Gutted OH missed it (dept running late so he had to collect ds) it might have helped.

Booking in Monday at the teaching hospital.

StickChildNumberTwo · 07/04/2015 19:59

Congratulations missmake - hope his name reveals itself soon :)

envious no picture Sad I think it coz its emergency gynae so don't have the facilities to offer it? I remember him it clearly atm though. Hopefully not too long to wait until the 12 week one. Apparently it's arranged at booking in.

Sadly we have no intention to move.

Yes I do. I found myself watching football last week. The only other time I had an interest was in ds pregnancy when ?euros were on and I couldn't get enough!

I don't think we will find out for sure though. I still like the surprise idea, although it may be more practical to find out....Confused

Treaclepie19 · 07/04/2015 23:18

They wouldn't give me a picture either gr33dy.

Can I ask what to expect from my 16 week midwife appointment? Strangely I'm nervous.

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone and congrats to miss our little one now has a name.. Niamh Alexandra :-)
miss our DS is a Daniel but always known as Danny, it's a great name and in the 3 years he's been with us I've only met 1 other Danny and 1 baby Daniel. One of our boy choices this time was Patrick- lovethis too.
I'm going to move over to the post natal thread now but wanted to send lots of love and best wishes to everyone on here. I've loved this thread and goodness it has provided reassurance and support over the last 9 months so thank you. I look forward to hearing about all your beautiful babies being born xxx
