Congratulations Florence! I love it when people 'graduate' from this thread, it gives me such a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Sorry to hear about the unhelpful EPU, Fifi. My EPU are very insistent on any bleeding being checked out, even though they emphasise it's usually harmless and very common.

I had another successful scan this morning at 10w5d, so still measuring exactly right for dates. The EPU booked me in after I had spotting and pain on Friday, as by the time I was seen, the scanning slots had all gone. I definitely think it was the thrush that caused it, but I admit, I'm finding it quite hard not having a definite explanation for it. I know it can be caused by so many things and it's usually impossible to tell why, but I wish they could.

Out of interest, does anyone else have nabothian cysts on their cervix? My GP told me I had them during an examination and no-one seems to know whether they can bleed a bit in pregnancy. The midwife today described them as being little yellow bumps, like spots that don't come to a head.

Thanks enviousllama (and littlelady), I think I did read your post, but didn't connect the dots with nabothian cysts, if that makes sense? There is no visible area of bleeding around the baby or anywhere and an examination showed my cervix is closed, so logic dictates it must be cervical (well, my brain and utter lack of medical qualifications thinks so anyway ;-) ).

I have my 16 week midwife appointment tomorrow, do I need to take a sample with me?

Just booked in with my GP, I was shaking like a leaf! My blood pressure was a bit too high (probably because I was so nervous), so I need to get it checked again on Friday. He was lovely though and said he will refer me for an early reassurance scan in a couple of weeks' time.

Mine was high at the start of my pregnancy but also due to work (which is why I'm currently signed off).

I know it's odd but as I don't feel connected to baby right now (worrying again) im planning the nursery and names.
Almost like if I control those things everything has to be ok. I've gone cuckoo.

There's a wriggly baby in there! 10+4.
So for stats I'm 34, 35 in a month. 1 ds (6), 2 mc 08 & 14. I'll stick with edd of 4/11 for now (ds was 8 days over).

treacle you will need a wee sample but if you weren't given a pot then i am sure you can do one there. If they offer to have a listen will you go for it? I did and they found the hb straight away but I know I would have been a wreck if they hadn't found it. For me the last 3 weeks have gone in a blink. I can't believe you are 16 weeks already! I am 22 now and have been having a freak out because it is all becoming real! Argh!

On the HB front, I chose not to even try because I'd have been horrendously beside myself until my 20 week scan, especially because I wasn't feeling any movement at that stage either. Personal choice though. You might find your mw doesn't even offer the option anyway because many trusts have a strict policy of not checking until 24/6 weeks - mine didn't mention it until I said something to her.

Not much to report from broody camp. Lots of movement from the lil gymnast and my obsession with eBay has reared it's head again these last few weeks - well, honestly, though, who can resist baby joules or mini Boden stuff when it's so darn cute?! Lol.
