Yeah I do happy, my bmi was 30.5 at my booking appointment and is now 28.5 (10lb lighter).

I'm seeing the midwife wednesday so ill ask you but like you say, it's probably because I'm bigger anyway.
Thanks for the reassurance :)

envious this is partly my worry. My OH was apparently a very active baby in the womb and then before he could even walk he would apparently vault himself out of his cot. He also screamed for 4 years.... On the other hand.... I was a lovely baby and we are having a girl so maybe there is hope

Thepurplegiraffe · 04/04/2015 13:01

Thanks all for the reassurance. I haven't had a lot more and am pretty sure it is down to dtd so I am going to wait and see if there is any more as well as trying to monitor movement. I will finally be home from yesterday's wedding in a bit so will be able to sit down and try and feel some movement.

Happy I really wouldn't worry about too much movement, except for how busy you are going to be with a boisterous toddler Smile

broodylicious · 04/04/2015 13:35

Thank goodness I wasn't in the September group and have missed these wine and breastfeeding gates. Nice to have debates and listen to other opinions but some of those women (partic "beans on value toast" woman) seem to just want to plough on and be completely ignorant of others.

purple, hoping things haven't escalated and it was just dtd that has irritated you somewhere. Sending hugs xxxx

Supposed to be going out with my NCT lot tonight. Cba as I always end up feeling really shit after meeting them and don't feel up to that right now so gonna call off.

Thanks all :)
Currently in costa forcing down a hot chocolate and a teacake :p

Oh gosh yeah, the wine and then breastfeeding debates.
Thing is, a debate is fine but they were full on arguments.
We're all different!!!!!!!

I quite like value toast, especially if it means I don't go insane with worry... Maybe you should come back with that you have your toast dry treacle as the beans are out of your budget... What a silly lady!

Littlelady33 · 04/04/2015 15:13

There are some very silly comments in your an thread commander and treacle I think you are both being very sensible and restrained. Although alcohol / feeding debates are interesting to have they descend so easily into judgement that I tend to avoid them. An extreme example being a woman I work with saying to me 'oh you're one of those who chooses not to drink at all...!' And trying to make it some kind of class/money-based my area of London versus yours arguments. Madness, when I haven't ever expressed any view on her choice to drink some alcohol (not do I have a view!)

Treaclepie19 · 04/04/2015 16:52

That's reassuring Tori :)

I definitely feel much more at home on here :)

Wow that's brilliant sunbathing :)
Seems like it's quite common then, I shall hold back on my worrying a little.

Treacle I have just got back to pre pregnancy weight now and I am 26 weeks, it is finally starting to go on pretty quickly now, nothing to do with the amount of chocolate I am consuming!

fififolle · 05/04/2015 08:30

Morning everyone!
I'm a bit unsure what to do. I'm 8 weeks today and have had tiny bits of brown spotting for the last 2 days. I had a bit more brown blood on straining when going to the toilet this morning. I had a MMC in October when I had a couple of episodes of light fresh bleeding. I've phoned the EPU and they were useless, un sympathetic and too factual, offering no reassurance whatsoever. As its Easter, they have no scanning facilities. I feel that this pregnancy is totally different to the last one but still have a niggling worry.

Thepurplegiraffe · 05/04/2015 09:08

Hi Fififolle, sorry to hear that how stressful and rubbish of your epu. I am guessing you told them about the mmc? Would it be worth trying again and hoping you get someone different.
On a positive note though, my mc started with brown blood but was followed by red within a few hours so if it has been a couple of days it is much less likely to be anything to worry about. That won't stop you worrying though I know. Don't suppose there is any chance of bringing your private scan forward?

Treaclepie19 · 05/04/2015 09:30

Hehe purple, enjoy the chocolate! :)

fifi, my mc started with bright red blood, and lots of it.
Hopefully it's normal pregnancy spotting, but I know that doesn't help you.
Sorry your epu were so useless :(
Thinking of you x

fififolle · 05/04/2015 09:39

We're away from home so I may try our EPU when we're home tomorrow. She was bluntly factual and was suggesting that it was a done deal, without really questioning how much bleeding there was. I can't bring my private scan forwards purple as the lady is on holiday this week. I'm also slightly stick as DS is on his school holidays and I really want to spend as much time as possible with him.
Keeping fingers crossed.

How dare she say that, brown blood is very far from a done deal and from what I have heard pretty common in the first trimester. I am angry for you. Definitely try and speak to your own epu tomorrow, if only for reassurance.
Will be thinking of you.
