So heres a thread. Hope you all find it!

Congrats we've made it this far Wine

My worry at 5 weeks is I just feel apathetic and numb. Not excited, not looking forward. Not even fear. Just.... nothing. Constant knicker watch.

Plus wondering whether to push for an early scan and if so when? Losses were 9 and 11 weeks.

Thanks for the welcome. Let's all hold each others hands and hope for the best this time Smile

Gr33dyeggs · 08/03/2015 20:29

Welcome officelady yep, today we are pregnant.

chasing I understand your worry over a swab. I just have to believe its ok given I've been told to get one. I'm hoping to get it all straight in my mind tomorrow if I can see my last mc discharge notes at the drs.

guy I hope things stay settled.

I know we shouldn't wish time away... however i would 100% fast forward through the next 8 weeks at least!!

Cor chasing telling me! We dtd last night for the first time since O day i was so scared of scrambling my egg haha

ReverseTheTrend · 09/03/2015 06:31

I think I might scratch all my skin off

I had a bit of athletes foot, which I was treating with salt baths as all the good chemical options seem to be off the table.

Then on Saturday night I dreamt I had a rash on my tummy that spread to hands and feet. I woke up yesterday with a rash all ovr my tummy, and this morning with it all over the palms of my hands and tops of my feet.

So itchy!!

Amyyy27 · 09/03/2015 06:40

Aww reverse bless you, hope you're ok!

Gr33dyeggs · 09/03/2015 06:48

Bleurgh. I feel awful (again). Sore throat, catarrh and nausea. If the nausea is ms I'll accept it but if I'm getting a bug I'm feeling very sorry for myself. Need to go in2 work because we are extremely short staffed.

reverse itching in later pregnancy can be serious. Not sure about early pregnancy but it might be worth getting checked out?

fififolle · 09/03/2015 07:12

Well, good morning ladies!
I've only gone and got my BFP! I'm so so happy.
This was my fourth cycle post MMC in Oct.
I had a -ve FRer Thursday and Friday, was almost sick making spaghetti Bolognese on Friday. Wine tasted funny on Saturday with boobs on fire, -ve CB digi sat night. Continued feeling sick yesterday, held out till this morning and CB digi says 'Pregnant 1-2'.
You amazing lot are the first to know as DH is away skiing.

Amyyy27 · 09/03/2015 07:15

Yayyyy fifi congratulations!!! Grin

chasingtherainbow · 09/03/2015 08:21

Yayyyy congratulations fifi!

Reverse there is a condition that can start right from early pregnancy, but I hope it's not that and you can shift this rash. Can you pop to gp?

Amyyy27 · 09/03/2015 08:23

Well i rang the docs to get the number for midwife! They have told me to pop in to pick up a pregnancy pack.. mw not open until 9 so will ring them later. Starting to feel a bit more real now! Although saying that most of my symptoms seem to have vanished! No cramps and just the tiniest bit nausea. I have gained 1 throbbing boob lol but dont know if that is related?!

chasingtherainbow · 09/03/2015 08:32

I'm quite crampy today. AF would be due so I'm feeling quite anxious today. . I'm at work but just want to curl up and protect myself somehow. I'm worried about lifting the children etc.

Amyyy27 · 09/03/2015 08:36

Aww chasing i was on constant knicker watch in saturday and cruelly had loads of cm making me feel like i had came on! As well as af like cramps. Im sure you will be fine! I wouldnt worry about picking kids up if you think of people in the olden days with big families they must have done it. At the same time after what we have been through i wish there was an option to be wrapped in cotton wool and stay indoors for 9 months!

chasingtherainbow · 09/03/2015 08:50

Obviously I have my own dd so I can't not pick her up for the next 9 months (although MIL was on edge every time I so much as sat her on my lap or walked up a flight of stairs over the weekend!) But I have 3 under 4 at work so it's alot. That said it's only 2 days pw so I'm sure I'm just over worrying really.

I feel so fragile.

ReverseTheTrend · 09/03/2015 08:51

Going to see GP this morning, anything to shift the damn itch!!

chasingtherainbow · 09/03/2015 09:01

Itchiness has to be up there with sleep deprivation in the torture stakes. . You poor thing!

Amyyy27 · 09/03/2015 09:25

Ahh reverse hope you get sorted!

Its strange isn't it chasing I feel like a china doll (I certainly don't look it other than paleness!)

Amyyy27 · 09/03/2015 10:14

Hormone overload - beware of tantrum!!

Has anyone else booked midwife appointment yet? I have rang them and got a really arsey woman who sniggered when I said I was 4 weeks bitch and has made my appointment for 20th April :( I am probably being really irrational but I am in tears. That sounds like forever away. I am luckily getting the same midwife as last time and I know she is lovely so that's good. But I really wanted to see her before I booked a private scan. That's now impossible as at the mw appointment I will be 10 weeks :( I am having a mini panic here. I feel like its too early to book my private scan but now how long do I leave it to book? another week or 2?

fififolle · 09/03/2015 10:38

Amyyy that woman sounds vile, I don't blame you for being upset. Perhaps try phoning back on another day and explaining that you are quite worried and would it be possible to have an earlier appointment.
I'd look at booking your private scan when you're 8 weeks, it'll give you the reassurance and the heart beat will have come in then.

Amyyy27 · 09/03/2015 10:45

Thanks fifi I think I will try later in the week (hopefully a day she doesn't work!!) We want to have the scan at 8 weeks, but it feels very optimistic booking it now, at the same time I just want it booked so I have something to look forward to!

gingerbreadmam · 09/03/2015 11:06

hi amy sounds like you already have experience of a booking in appointment and i havent had an eary scam but have had my booking in and i dont think there is anything at booking in that would link in to your early scan at all so i would try not to worry too much.

20 april does seem forever away, could you get somebody else to call for you and re-arrange. when i spoke to my gp they insisited i get an early booking in apt as it is a nice positive step to make following a mc.

the woman on the phone sounds awful! hope u r ok.

oh and i agree 8 wks seems quite a good time for an early scan, by then even if dates were out a little you should certainly still see a hb.

Amyyy27 · 09/03/2015 11:24

Thanks ginger, yes I mean I know not a lot happens in the first appointment, I think I just wanted like you say a positive step and something to look forward to. I am going to book the scan for the beginning of April, that's a better step although I don't know if 'looking forward to it' quite fits thanks to nerves!

She was a total cow! And she is not the first midwife I have had a bad experience with! I must attract the ones with bad attitudes lol.

I am going to ring back later in the week and just explain the circumstances. I should have said while I was on the phone but I was a bit put back from her attitude!

gingerbreadmam · 09/03/2015 11:27

yeah people like that always throw me theres just no need. well try not to worry too much this time is hard enough without that rubbish too.

yes get your scan booked then you can be on countdown,it might be quite nice to have 8 week scan, 10 week booking in apt then 12 week scan. lots of nice little milestones not too far apart.

hopefully time will pass quickly between now and 8 weeks!

Amyyy27 · 09/03/2015 11:34

Oh that sounds a lot better when you put it that way! I think I might leave it at 10 weeks. It will break up the waiting time between the 2 scans. Thanks! :)
