Congrats we've made it this far

My worry at 5 weeks is I just feel apathetic and numb. Not excited, not looking forward. Not even fear. Just.... nothing. Constant knicker watch.

Plus wondering whether to push for an early scan and if so when? Losses were 9 and 11 weeks.

Oh I always read it as last missed period but ofc now I think about it that makes no sense at all so yes last menstrual period

Chasing that's such lovely happy news I was trying to sneakily check MN on my phone at work earlier but was paranoid colleagues would see the word Pregnancy at the top of the screen! Really good to know about the changing dates/measurements too. How are you feeling in general now?

No more blood here yet today and after a wobbly morning I had quite a good day.

Genni I'm glad the bleeding has slowed but I know that doesn't change how agonising the wait is. What time is your EPU scan tomorrow?

I'm feeling really reassured. The sonographer picked up on my nerves and was really trying to reassure me, said I didn't need to worry. . Baby was all as should be. (i was comparing dds 6weeks scan which was much clearer, but I was 4 St lighter and had spent 4 days dangerously dehydrated in hosp so imagine it was easier to see) .. I didn't need an internal scan which I was so grateful for.

Just refused wine at my parents. 3 times. Mum doesn't like to take no for an answer! I'm guessing she may suspect now.

Yes one last menstrual period i had to ask midwife to find out so dont worry!

I'm ok thanks. Got a bit of cramping now but guess it's just a wait and see. Thankfully my appointment is at 8am tomorrow so I'm hoping unless there are any major emergencies who naturally need to be seen before me we should be seen fairly quickly. I've lost how many times I've dashed to the loo to check today, thank goodness I've been at home.

mrsj I'm glad you haven't had any more bleeding. Fx it stays that way for you. Will your next scan be your 12 week one, all being well?

guy I ended up having to tell my dad I was pg for the same reason! he wouldn't stop trying to offer me champagne at a family do a last weekend so I had to tell him!

Yes its funny. . With dd it was like this really fast (at least to my memory) flickering on the screen. Tiny dot.

This time I only saw it briefly, it seemed slower and like a fading in and out but it was all quite fuzzy. I asked her whether it should be faster and she said it was all absolutely fine.

I'm almost starting to believe I'll actually get my baby this time. .. and then I think about 6 more weeks ahead to the next scan and I get worried again. It's all very exhausting this stuff isn't it.

I kind of feel like I want to book a private scan at 9 weeks to tide me over but that's probably a bit ridiculous.

I kind of want to fork out for another at 9... 16 and 25 weeks. Is that silly?

Not silly chasing at all. If mine sticks it out I'll be having every scan I can to reassure myself. It's understandable to feel so anxious and unsettled.

I'm probably ridiculous based on the fact I'm being made redundant and should be saving all I can. . Argh. I just wish I could see in there regularly enough to know.

I've not even got a scan appointment yet Half of me thinks they aren't 'wasting' a slot time until I've passed 11 weeks. Not so impressed with the teaching hospital thus far.

Mine is a private one gr33dy. My hospital wouldn't even scan me when I was bleeding last time and they won't now either. I had to fight them for every tiny thing.

Mine is private too! I wont get 12 week scan date until midwife appointment at 10 weeks and even then its just a letter in the post any time after :/

I feel lucky to have such good services here, they have always been so helpful in my pregnancies. With DS I had 2 early scans due to bleeding, I had no idea that wasn't standard practice.

I would be due a scan at 12w but if they go by LMP I will only be about 10 weeks. Due to the date uncertainty I will just take whatever they offer.

My worry is that the booking in is at nearly 12 weeks if I get that far and that doesn't leave much time to get the nuchal scan in after. And have you heard November is going to be a baby boom because of the 50 shades effect?
I've called in sick today because I've still got stomach cramps and the poops .
Going to the Dr's later asking for another swab to check the infection has cleared. I'm wondering if my upset tum could be linked to anxiety.

chasing same here. I feel stupid for complaining about last morning sickness. At least that really was only in the morning not all day :( i also had sharp tummy pains last night which i remember from mmc so not feeling hopeful at all :(
