So heres a thread. Hope you all find it!

Congrats we've made it this far Wine

My worry at 5 weeks is I just feel apathetic and numb. Not excited, not looking forward. Not even fear. Just.... nothing. Constant knicker watch.

Plus wondering whether to push for an early scan and if so when? Losses were 9 and 11 weeks.

Hello everyone, just felt moved to delurk after reading Reverse's recent post. Exact same thing happened to me in the autumn. Twin empty sacs, high hcg, very small sacs, showing development stopped at 4/5 weeks. So sorry. Flowers
On the plus side, recovery was straightforward and I conceived again after one cycle.
I am currently 8+1, had been getting stronger symptoms in week 7, but they have eased up as of yesterday. Feeling quite negative as a result. Waiting to see what today will bring.

chasingtherainbow · 25/03/2015 09:02

Welcome west to east! I find some days I can be almost symptomless but then they can fierce a day later. Everything crossed for you!

gennibugs · 25/03/2015 09:28

Morning all

mrsj good luck today at your scan.

chasing what an awful day you had. Terrible luck with the job. Not what you need now I imagine.

reverse I'm so sorry. You must be in bits. As others have said - hope you have lots of support in real life but we are to hand hold as much as you need.

fromeasttowest my symptoms seem to vary too. It does cause me to worry but I suppose it depends on so many things day to day in a way. Try not to worry x

gennibugs · 25/03/2015 09:29

Sorry westtoeast I got your name the wrong way round. Blush

Amyyy27 · 25/03/2015 09:44

Welcome Westtoeast congrats on your pregnancy :) Up until recently I was very symptomless for most days I was worried sick. So I did a lot of research and its so very common to not get symptoms some days/weeks or even all the way through! So please try not to worry (easier said than done I know, sorry!).

Well I was begging for morning sickness and that's what I have been given! I thought it was bad with mmc but I have been so poorly the last few days and only 6+4.. I'm debating taking some time off work. I will have to if it gets any worse... if my boss didn't know I was pg before he does now after spending 20 minutes vomming in the loo down the corridor when I got here! :(

I also thought having MS would make me feel a bit better with it being a definite pg symptom... however all I can think of is my MS with mmc which continued for 4 weeks after baby had passed. grr!

gennibugs · 25/03/2015 09:50

amyy sounds like you are really suffering with sickness you poor thing.

Amyyy27 · 25/03/2015 11:18

We now have mice back in the office... fanfuckingtastic. As if I'm not worried enough! I'm gunna have to tell my boss about being pregnant as there is a risk of them carrying LCMV virus which can cause birth defects. Albeit a very slim chance... its still a chance I'm not willing to risk.

I could bloody scream I had the same effing problem in the last mc this office is a joke!!! Angry I have handled old envelopes all morning where I then found a dropping in them. I don't know whether to cry or scream.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 25/03/2015 11:45

Amyy just keep some hand sanitiser on your desk.
We had the same during my first pg but to be honest, you won't find an office in London which isn't full of nice and most people have healthy pregnancies so don't panic too much!

Amyyy27 · 25/03/2015 11:54

I always have hand sanitiser Guy I'm a bit of a germaphobe! I'm worried about them being all over the envelopes which I have to handle as part of my job... although the old envelopes I will be telling him to throw out I'm not touching them again!

Problem 1 I can't mention anything today, the other lady who is pg in office has taken ill and he has taken her to hospital... so best not to cause a fuss today.

Problem 2 is my hopefully new job will be asking for a reference very soon and as much as I want to scream the place down I have to be on my best behaviour.

I had never been in contact with mice before until working in this place. It is old, rundown and dirty. Its good to hear its common in London though thanks Guy

onefootinthebed · 25/03/2015 12:06

Just thought I would pop on too.o see how everyone is doing.

Reverse I'm so sorry.

Hope everyone else is ok.its really nice to see on a thread about such heartbreak and hope but that There's a giggle to

GirlSailor · 25/03/2015 12:11

Welcome westtoeast

Amyy I second Guybrush, just make sure you have some hand sanitiser and wash your hands thoroughly. I've lived in a flat with a mouse problem we couldn't shift, no matter how clean we were, and I would find droppings all the time. I never caught anything and you are just as unlikely to. Grim though, completely understand your concern.

MS seems to be creeping upwards in intensity. Felt awful on the tube this morning. Someone has been cutting the grass outside my office for the last hour and it smells so strong I feel like I need a lie down. Who knew freshly cut grass would be a bad smell!

gennibugs · 25/03/2015 12:13

We have mice in our building too so I feel your pain. As guy says I don't think I've worked in a building in London which didn't unfortunately.

I hate them anyway and am even more wary since being pg again. I keep hand sanitiser by me and antiseptic wipes to wipe my desk, computer, phone etc daily. I know my colleagues think I'm weird but I don't care. Handling those envelopes doesn't sound nice at all.

gennibugs · 25/03/2015 12:16

girlsailor ms on the tube is rubbish. I spend most of my journey in a cold sweat panicking I'm going to be sick! The smell of someone's coffee was turning my stomach today too.

GirlSailor · 25/03/2015 12:48

Just wondering if anyone has recommendations for pregnancy apps - any really useful ones or ones to avoid?

Amyyy27 · 25/03/2015 13:06

Thanks everyone that's very reassuring! I have just bought some anti-bac wipes for my desk and anywhere else I need to be in contact with. But stationary like the envelopes I will just have to wash my hands after touching them I guess there is nothing else I can do. Going to suggest having a large container to put all the envelopes in as they are currently in a position where mice would love to go and probably nest!! Yack!

I think I'm panicking as I'm linking finding mice about this time in last pg which obv ended in mmc. I'm sure it won't be related but still... can't help but wonder!

fromwesttoeast · 25/03/2015 13:10

Thanks for the welcome. I have memories of ms on London transport back in my first pg. once I felt so bad on the tube I tried to hide near an end door. All the locals ignored me of course but a foreign student came over to ask if I was ok, needed help. Turned out he didn't know the word "pregnant" so had to do a bit of miming/ explanation.
Another time in a very hot bus with no openable windows, sun streaming in, I could see another woman with a look on her face that I just recognised. I quickly handed her one of my stash of sickbags. We didn't exchange a word. Moments later the bus stopped and she jumped off and threw up in the litter bin just outside.
It happens!

Amyyy27 · 25/03/2015 13:54

Girl I had the Bounty one but didn't like it and removed it (Can't remember why now sorry!)

I do like the babycentre one though, theres something to read every day and at the beginning of each week theres a nice part telling you of how baby is developing that week :)

gennibugs · 25/03/2015 14:34

Last time I had the baby centre app and it was quite good. Not downloaded any this time or signed up to anything until I'm confident things are ok. But ill probably get the baby centre one again.

LostMySocks · 25/03/2015 14:42

Can I join? I'm nearly 6 weeks after getting BFP last Thursday. Had a negative test a week earlier. I previously had a mmc at between 5 and 6 weeks. Better for me than many as I didn't know that I was pregnant until 10 days before dating scan as my AF hadn't come back after having DS. Was a bit of a roller costa of emotions as then referred to EPU having to have second scan and then op the Friday before I went back to work.
Now really nervous as I don't have symptoms and not seeing doctor til Monday. Terrified that I'll go to 12 week scan and that baby won't be viable.

Amyyy27 · 25/03/2015 15:01

Hi Lost Welcome and congrats! And sorry for your mmc Flowers

I had barely any symtoms before 6 weeks and had same fears. We booked a private scan for 8 weeks. Sickness started dot on 6 weeks and has quickly got worse over the last couple of days!! So I would say your symptoms may start soon, but even if they don't I did a lot of research and its actually very common to have little/no symptoms. Would you consider an early private scan to put your mind at rest?

LostMySocks · 25/03/2015 15:37

Thanks Amy. I can't believe that I actually want MS. Early scans are around £200 here. Going to see if the doctor can refer to the EPU for an early scan. DH is dead set against extra testing. He was very upset by mmc so I think he's being a bit of an ostrich.

Amyyy27 · 25/03/2015 15:54

Oh don't worry I was exactly the same... now I wish I hadn't wished so much for it Grin

Ouch! That's expensive!! Yes definitely worth trying GP instead.

OH was exactly the same before I booked scan but I had to be honest and tell him I would rather know if things were going wrong sooner than 12 week scan and since then he has been a lot more excited.

Jus stole this from another thread, finding it quite r6eassuring :)

MsJupiter · 25/03/2015 15:55

Hey all. Just back from scan. External and then internal, lucky me.

Good news: saw the sac, yolk and heartbeat, they were happy with what they saw and the site of bleed was consistent with implantation. Got a photo.

Less good news: measuring 6w which would put conception at 8 days later than the last time we dtd. They said it was hard to be precise at this stage so I guess if they are at least 3 days out out then there is still hope, but I felt very despondent.

We also saw a hb at 6w when I went on to mc at 9w so I am not feeling particularly reassured either way. Sorry to be so negative and ungrateful. It is good news I know. Today I am pregnant. Just feel like crying though.

I like the What To Expect app, especially the fruit and veg size comparisons.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 25/03/2015 16:07

Oh MsJ. Sorry it was an uncertain result. Are you going to have another scan in a week or two?

I have backache again. Just like with mc. Sad
