So heres a thread. Hope you all find it!

Congrats we've made it this far Wine

My worry at 5 weeks is I just feel apathetic and numb. Not excited, not looking forward. Not even fear. Just.... nothing. Constant knicker watch.

Plus wondering whether to push for an early scan and if so when? Losses were 9 and 11 weeks.

Congratulations Sasha!

Gr33dyeggs · 23/03/2015 19:06

Congrats and welcome sasha.

I've lost my appetite a bit - generally not eaying a full evening meal, but the only thing I really don't fancy is tea.

guy are runny eggs allowed now or are you being a rebel? I love bacon and fried egg butties occasionally.

Gr33dy as long as they have the British lion mark they don't carry salmonella so are safe. I think.

I suppose I'm being a bit of a rebel. But the risk with eggs is salmonella so as long as they are red lion stamped, they are vaccinated.

MsJupiter · 23/03/2015 19:49

Congrats Sasha!

Guy I know what you mean, the 'baby' part of this doesn't seem real yet. It's just the pregnancy I need to get through.

Half a lb on at SW tonight. Thought it might be more as I've relaxed things bit plus I felt much more bloated. So was pleased for 5 seconds and then started worrying it meant things weren't developing. It's bloody exhausting all this isn't it.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 23/03/2015 19:58

Anyone's lower abdomen feeling at all swollen yet? Mine just started to feel it at 8 weeks with dd. Never swelled at all with mc despite getting to 11 weeks.

Gr33dyeggs · 23/03/2015 20:10

Guy I have a definite bump albeit bloating. I'll try and get a pic.

Dreading people asking and having to lie. We've not even told parents. I'm considering telling my mum coz she'd have ds if it goes wrong again, but I don't want her worrying it will go wrong again iyswim.

gennibugs · 23/03/2015 20:11

Congratulations sasha.

Cramps here tonight. so naturally I'm worrying again

Just. Can't. Win.

ReverseTheTrend · 23/03/2015 20:12

Thanks, I think I am around 9 weeks, but LMP was for last PG in Oct, so having this scan to find out where we are for sure.

Its so terrifying as MC was at 11 weeks last time, so if there is an issue, it is terrible, but if everything is ok, I still feel like it might all go wrong in a few weeks.

Even a 12 weeks scan doesn't seem far enough to be "safe"

Scan is at 11:15

chasingtherainbow · 23/03/2015 20:19

I keep thinking about how relaxed ill feel after scan.. Then I realise I've got a other 6 weeks before I'm "safer"

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 23/03/2015 20:28

If you see a heartbeat, risk reduces dramatically no matter what week you are. Barely any difference between 8 and 12 weeks. Most people just assume 12 weeks because that is the time most people see heartbeat for the first time. Of course it isn't a guarantee, but it is definitely a very good sign.
Yes, I don't really mean bloat, I mean that area above your pubis where your uterus is at this stage. Nothing to do with digestive system. i remember with dd it just felt slightly swollen and a bit more solid around 8 weeks. Not sure if I'm getting any swelling there at all yet. Maybe. Must stop placing my hands there to try and work it out.

chasingtherainbow · 23/03/2015 20:37

Guy I know what your on about. I can feel it at times and not at others. I was freaking out when it felt really prominent to one side.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 23/03/2015 21:43

In other news... I am so windy. Every night, I have really uncomfortable trapped wind. I think it's from excess swallowing due to nausea. I've gone to bed an hour before DH just so I can fart freely.

MsJupiter · 23/03/2015 21:51

The first place I felt swollen was higher up, like things were being pushed upwards. Actually I feel less swollen in this pregnancy but I might be comparing different stages, it's hard to remember exactly.

I think I am 7 weeks now. I feel the same about scans as I saw a hb at 6 weeks but still mc at 9. So even if I had a scan now it wouldn't be that reassuring, except to let me know there is a viable pregnancy there in the first place.

Yey Sasha! No doubt there!

Wolf smell has arrived. I had totally forgotten that during my first pregnancy I made DH clean the fridge 3 times in one day because I could smell something. Just opened the fridge and the smell evoked that memory really strongly. Feeling good about it because I didn't get wolf smell during mc pregnancy.
Might need to take a nose peg to work though. Than goodness I don't live in London anymore.

Does anyone fancy having a Facebook group maybe? As we're setting out on this journey together? Or does it feel a bit premature?

Amyyy27 · 24/03/2015 07:27

sasha we have booked one for 8 weeks but you should see a heartbeat from about 6 weeks. Also try not to book it too late like 10 weeks maybe even 9 as you might not get your 12 week scan! Lovely to see your digi bet its comforting to see it in words :)

Well so much for not moaning but thisprning sickness is awful :( started again last night and here again this morning. Ive got my seabands on which are doing fuck all and eating little crackers with some sips of tea. I know as soon as i go to brush my teeth they will be making a reappearance :(

chasingtherainbow · 24/03/2015 08:12

Guy I'm up for a fb group. It'd be nice not to have to keep very poorly maintaining anonymity when I feel very (soppy) close to you all as it is! We could keep the group unsearchable by having it set to secret and only release details via pm to avoid trolls etc?

Breakfast was 4 salt and vinegar rice cakes. !

gennibugs · 24/03/2015 08:39

Morning all.

Good luck for today reverse. hope all is well.

Very nauseous here today - ugh. I can't stomach anything. Thanks to all those feeling sick, tired, anxious.

I'd be interested in an FB group as long as it is secret and totally private. Assuming all is well it would be nice to share our journeys together.

Amyyy27 · 24/03/2015 09:00

Good luck this morning reverse will be thinking of you!

ReverseTheTrend · 24/03/2015 09:25

Thanks Amy and Genni, working at the moment, but struggling to concentrate, a few hours to go

Gr33dyeggs · 24/03/2015 09:25

I'm scared today because I have discovered a bartholin cyst again. I only ever had these before during and after the mc last year. It doesn't bode well I feel.

My sense of smell must be heightened though because I think everyone has bad breath, and the water smells really chlorinated.

I would join a FB group if I got a positive scan.

Fx for the scan reverse

Amyyy27 · 24/03/2015 10:01

greedy are those the cysts 'down below'? I get them regularly but i don't think they would have anything to do with mc so try not to worry Flowers

reverse not long now! Im anxious for you. Everything crossed x
