So heres a thread. Hope you all find it!

Congrats we've made it this far Wine

My worry at 5 weeks is I just feel apathetic and numb. Not excited, not looking forward. Not even fear. Just.... nothing. Constant knicker watch.

Plus wondering whether to push for an early scan and if so when? Losses were 9 and 11 weeks.

Is anyone having any strange symptoms? I seem to be really thirsty / have a dry throat all the time! Im drinking a lot of water though but it doesnt seem to be helping!

chasingtherainbow · 10/03/2015 07:15

Extreme thirst and dry mouth is really common.. my friend had it awful! I'm vvvv thirsty!

Amyyy27 · 10/03/2015 07:19

Oh is it? I never had it before! Ive tried drinking all sorts but nothing is helping and this early in day is making me feel sicky!

chasingtherainbow · 10/03/2015 07:57

Yep.. and all the extra fluid is making me pee even more. . Which I honestly didn't think was possible!

Amyyy27 · 10/03/2015 08:16

Haha bless you!

chasingtherainbow · 10/03/2015 09:04

Anyone else getting that kicking sensation? It's like a sudden bubble is pushing against you and then popping? Or like a quick kick. I wonder what it is. It's only one or two at a time but v noticeable so not my pulse. I'm enjoying it but feels si funny!

gennibugs · 10/03/2015 09:18

Morning all,

Yes, yes to dry mouth and thirst. Nothing gets rid of it. I've also got a weird taste in my mouth yeuch.

I'm still having cramps, I'm trying to reassure myself it's normal but ant help but silently worry. I'm also feeling nauseous but I don't mind that so much.

I did another digi at the weekend and will do another this weekend too - I know it's pointless but I can't help myself! Grin

Amyyy27 · 10/03/2015 09:37

Im trying to hold off from the digis! In fact all testing now as i will drive myself insane Grin

No not yet chasing but i did last time when i was a bit further on so they are probably yet to come for me! I have noticed how emotional i am! I cried in the car this morning just thinking about talking to my OH about downs testing! As well as being emotional that the shop didnt have the mandarin segments in that i like!

chasingtherainbow · 10/03/2015 10:46

Am also v emotional that tesco didn't have the following: the green machine naked smoothie that I really wanted. The pregnancy vits I like in 3 for 2. and frers-

Amyyy27 · 10/03/2015 10:49

Haha i was the same with vits at asda!! I ended up getting 1 sanatogen mum to be, and 2 pregnancare normal ones. I didnt want the pregnacare but i wasnt gunna miss out on 3 for 2 and that was my only option!!

chasingtherainbow · 10/03/2015 10:51

They only had pregnecare and just thinking of them made me want to vom..might be the malteaser bunnies I just ate

Amyyy27 · 10/03/2015 12:17

I've never tried them but heard a lot of people get very nauseous from them. Last time I took seven seas and they made me really sickly, but then I started to take them on a night instead with a full meal (when I could eat one anyway) and I was fine. So this time round I have been taking them on an evening anyway so should be ok with pregnacare but will see! Oh I am soooooo jealous of the malteaser bunnies :( I am not allowed them anymore after being diagnosed with coeliac disease. Majorly gutted!

chasingtherainbow · 10/03/2015 12:36

No more naughtiness for me as of tomo. It's all about good healthy fresh foods once the foods shop is in.

A lady on a fb group I'm on has just been scanned for a hb after a scan and 4+3 to check wasn't eptopic.. she's got a sac and yolk sac but no sign of baby. . Almost 7 wks. This is exactly why I'm too scared!

northdownmummy · 10/03/2015 13:05

Early scan today and all is good. Measuring exactly in my dates at 6+5 and we were able to see a good strong heartbeat.

I burst into tears when she said there was a good heartbeat. Think I'd prepared myself a bit too thoroughly for bad news.

chasingtherainbow · 10/03/2015 13:20

Oh north. This is the best news. Xxxxx

Amyyy27 · 10/03/2015 13:21

Aww chasing that's awful bless her. However I would rather know at 7 weeks than 12 weeks.

north that's fantastic!! Grin over moon for you! We have booked an early scan when we are exactly 8 weeks (3 weeks Saturday). However someone thought it would be a good idea to put the private clinic INSIDE Mothercare Hmm I am trying to prepare my self for bad and good news.

gennibugs · 10/03/2015 13:35

Congratulations north - so happy for you! Grin

I'm booking one for 9 weeks on the 11 April. I wanted one at 8 weeks but I know the exact clinic I want to go to and they are full on my 8 week date - they are so busy always. It feels so far away - just hoping so hard we get there.

chasing your poor friend.

Amyyy27 · 10/03/2015 13:48

genni it feels like forever away doesn't it. I'm going to try and keep myself as busy as possible to help pass the time a bit quicker! And lots of chat on here will hopefully help us all get there!

chasingtherainbow · 10/03/2015 14:51

I phone a bunch of private scan places and no one will scan me before 7/8weeks. I go away for the week from 27th and really wanted one done just before leaving as we are going with l my husbands family. Also v worried about it being eptopic and being hundreds of miles from home and getting poorly. Do I push my mw for one?

Amyyy27 · 10/03/2015 15:01

Yeah chasing unfortunately I don't think any private clinic will scan before 7 weeks sorry. Midwife should send you for one anyway after your last one. I would ring them and tell them about your new pregnancy, your last one and that you were told you would get a scan straight away this time (if they are being arsey) but I think they should refer you straight away x

gennibugs · 10/03/2015 15:44

chasing I would push your or EPU for one. Most of the private clinics don't like doing them before 7 weeks.

Yes amyy lots of keeping busy and supporting each other is in order I think!

chasingtherainbow · 10/03/2015 15:51

I left mw a message yesterday and no one's called me back yet !

Gr33dyeggs · 10/03/2015 16:40

Well my dilemma should I get that far is whether to stick local (where I lost confidence after mc and the aftercare following my sons birth wasn't great) or go to the teacher hospital I work at but is about 40mins away on a good run, and where I've only heard good things.

OP posts:
Gr33dyeggs · 10/03/2015 16:43

teaching hospital.

Its hard knowing when to push for things isn't it!

With your history I would push chasing - call again explaining your anxiety.

Amyyy27 · 10/03/2015 16:43

Ahh chasing that's not on! I would ring them back! and have a twist that they didn't bother ringing you!

Greedy I think I would probably go to the teacher hospital if that is an do-able option.
