Tell me this is some sort of false shit line please? I have been having regular periods, my last was around the 11th, but I've been slowly putting on weight around my stomach but I thought it must be because of christmas binging.

Anyway on Friday night I had a horrific pain in my stomach and it's all massive and bloated, I posted here about it and people asked if it was possible I could be pregnant and I said no.

I went to the emergency doctor who also asked this and I said no. I'm on the mini pill but do throw up a lot, but we don't DTD that often and we haven't been caught in over 3 years of being together so I just thought it must be fine.

But being a paranoid human I went and bought a cheap test from savers today 'clear and simple' and have just taken the test and thought it was fine but I looked closer and I saw this faint line. It appeared after 2 minutes.

It's very faint. Tell me theres other explanations for this? Please?

Oh bollocks. Can you see a line?

They're always fucking engaged!! I feel such an idiot. I'd never have drank like that if I'd have known I was pregnant. Drank and smoked like a fucking chimney. I could have been damaging it and that's another one who starts life severely disabled. I'm such a horrible person

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/01/2015 10:39

You're not horrible at all, lots of women find out they are pg after Christmas when they've been drinking etc.

5madthings · 26/01/2015 10:39

No you are not an.idiot! Or a horrible person.

And drinking and smoking does.not mean.you have damaged it. When I got preg with ds1 i was at uni, drinking, smoking etc he is 15, and fine, more than fine he is a smart cookie, acting his gcses. Slightly grumpy as teens are but fine.

Please don't beat yourself up, you were on the pill, you weren't to kbow.

Hurr1cane · 26/01/2015 10:40

On hold. DP keeps fucking milling about near me because he can see I'm upset and I just want him to fuck off away from me

OP posts:
Thurlow · 26/01/2015 10:41

No you're not, don't ever think that!

I drank and smoked through my unexpected pregnancy. Didn't even manage to stop the cigarettes 100%. DD is fine. Not ideal, but thousands of women smoke and drink like that in the first month or two when they don't know.

RubbishRobotFromTheDawnOfTime · 26/01/2015 10:43

How you can you be horrible because you behaved as if you weren't pg when you had no reason to think you were? Anyway, please don't worry about that until you know how far along you are. I got absolutely wasted at a wedding when I was 4 or 5 weeks with DS, had no idea, he's now a very sharp nearly four year old.

TSSDNCOP · 26/01/2015 10:44

Stop that OP. I wonder if anyone's ever done a study on how many babies were conceived in such circumstances. I bet it's squillions.

Did you get your tea? Throw in a couple of HobNobs.

Can you walk round to the GP rather than hang on the phone?

I wonder how many phones have been destroyed by frustrated possibly pregnant people after re-dialling for half an hour on a Monday morning. Squllions I bet.

RubbishRobotFromTheDawnOfTime · 26/01/2015 10:44

So maybe DP would be able to offer some support then, if he's not running away because he can see you're upset?

PlumpingUpPartridge · 26/01/2015 10:46

I had a very very bad cold in my first (unknown) week of pregnancy with DS1 and took all the drugs I could find for 7 days. He's fine.

I carefully took a pregnancy test on my birthday, rejoiced when it came up negative and went out to get utterly smashed. It tested +ve a week later. DS2 is also fine.

You're not awful; you just don't live your life like you might get pregnant at any moment. Very few women do live like that!

Hurr1cane · 26/01/2015 10:47

I'm going to have to tell him because the doctor is ringing back on the house phone. I'm going to wait until he finishes eating though

Oh op...I saw your other thread.
Please remind your DP, if he kicks up, that it takes two to make a Baby and you were doing your part to prevent it. Sometimes contraception fails.
Hope you get through to gp soon.

PerpetualStudent · 26/01/2015 10:47

You are not a horrible person!

Plenty of people drink & smoke in early pregnancy. Im not an expert on this but my understanding is it's such a small bundle of cells you are very unlikely to cause a disability at that stage, the cells haven't been 'assigned' a job yet, so if a few get zapped, it just grows more. The only thing is if too many get zapped, it gives up altogether. But that's repeated bottles of whisky shots territory...

Key point - you are not a horrible person. You have had a shock & are coping amazingly well in the circumstances

InanimateCarbonRod · 26/01/2015 10:48

OP when I read your original thread my first though was ectopic but as you were insisting you aren't pregnant I didn't say anything.

I've had ectopic pregnancies and your symptoms fit exactly like what I had. Down to the nausea because the pain was that bad.

Please try and get this discounted as quickly as you can because it literally is life and death. Once you get confirmation that it's not ectopic then you can deal with everything else.

Good luck Flowers

3littlebadgers · 26/01/2015 10:48

Defo a line x

TSSDNCOP · 26/01/2015 10:50

Just so we know OP, what is DP eating? If it's toast I can hang on. But if he's sitting down to a full English I need a wee Blush

Hurr1cane · 26/01/2015 10:53

I've told him. Hes said I can't be if I had a period 2 weeks ago then said what are we going to do and then he has started watching TV and commenting on what's happening.

OP posts:
Hurr1cane · 26/01/2015 10:56

Oh shit. At around 8-9 weeks with DS I had severe pain and they thought it was eptopic so I had one of those dildo scan efforts and it wasn't. But I was in pain.

OP posts:
PlumpingUpPartridge · 26/01/2015 10:56

Helpful, then.

Go to another room, get yourself a cup of tea and sit by the phone.

TSSDNCOP · 26/01/2015 10:58

Helpful fella Hmm

Right, back to the GP. When is he calling back? Do you have DS covered in case they want to see you ASAP?

Hurr1cane · 26/01/2015 10:58

Phones in here. Bollocks I took a laxative this morning! Is that going to hurt it? It specifically says to not take it while pregnant. But I thought, hey ho I can't be.

OP posts:
Hurr1cane · 26/01/2015 10:58

DS is at school and I am sure DP will collect him if I have to go to the GP later on. Or hospital.

OP posts:
Hurr1cane · 26/01/2015 11:00

This is well going to out me but fuck it now. This is my stomach. It's isually very flat.

Oh bollocks. Can you see a line?
OP posts:
TSSDNCOP · 26/01/2015 11:00

Well that's one base covered.

Grab a pencil and write down what you need to talk to the GP about. If nothing else it will calm your mind.

TSSDNCOP · 26/01/2015 11:01

Blimey I recognise you now!

Hmm Grin

Hurr1cane · 26/01/2015 11:02

Thanks everyone. Oh fuck.
