Recently got a BFP after first IVF and am so happy but was so prepared for failure I'm now a bit scared to get excited thinking something will go wrong. Anyone else going through the same?

Pipbin such incredibly sad news :( My heart is breaking for you. Big hugs.

It feels rather insensitive now to say that I just had my 12 weeks scan (12+2) and all was fine. I'm still terrified though. Both our mothers have cried today. I haven't Blush.

I had restless leg syndrome last night. It was incredibly annoying, ended up having to get up at 1am to walk about for a bit. Is that a pregnancy symptom, or a symptom of the cat crushing my legs every single night??

whittlefish · 15/01/2015 17:05

muddy that must be so reassuring though to see the scan but understand your fear still. I still don't feel like it's happening to me my 7 week mad it more real and I'm sure the 12 week one too but think I will be scared at every stage until they are born. Not had the leg thing yet although I do get it where they feel almost achy and can't get comfy is that the same thing?

No the restless leg thing is where you can't keep it still. And if you try to just leave it there it's as if you are being tortured into it. Hard to explain, it's not like it hurts but you just HAVE to move it.

I hope this doesn't become a "thing". Though it's a small price to pay for a healthy baby at the end of it, so perhaps I will stop whinging about it Wink.

whittlefish · 15/01/2015 20:09

I must say I'm exhausted and finding it really hard but have to keep reminding myself it's worth. It's hard though, still anything worth doing and all that Smile

Nelly, what love news, I'm very happy for you and hopefully it's bought you a couple of weeks peace of mind?
Whittle, glad your scan went well, I know what you mean about feeling tired all the time.
currently I'm at work, I feel sick (although never to the chuck up stage) just blergh, my boobies really hurt and I'm sat at my desk with my flies undone! waiting patiently for our first scan next Thursday, I think we're 6 weeks, but who knows!

also really stupidly read about eptopics then miscarriages. naughty me - must not do that again. One day at a time and all that!

hi to everyone else x
