Silver I've heard people say it drops off a bit, but I think I'd be like you and keep an eye on it. I'm just behind you and still being kicked to buggery, but would definitely miss it if it dropped off too much. My new symptom is a return of nausea, which is really not pleasant.

Baby hope you're getting some support now, horrible to think of you going through this x

Hi kd, it depends if you mean from the end or the beginning of your period. If you count the first day of your period as day 1, most people ovulate between days 12 and 17, roughly, so about a fortnight after day 1. If you have a 34 day cycle, this suggests that you ovulate a bit later than most, around days 18 to 20, so it would be less likely that you would get pregnant from sex earlier in your cycle. Sperm can live in your cervix for a few days after sex, so you have a fertile window of a few days before you ovulate.

It might be useful to look this up online, there are some very good guides out there, and if you think you are pregnant, I suggest getting a test and using it any time from day 30. Good luck!

Hi tanny, he was never a big kicker and I have anterior placenta, but have had some quite active periods over the last few weeks, so now I don't know what to make of it... I think my 'practice contractions' (womb tightening) have become more frequent though.

I'm 31 weeks tomorrow too silverine it is scary most days she is really active then days like today when I'm feeli crap anyway she goes quiet the next 9 weeks can't go fast enough. I'm seeing my midwife tuesday (my birthday) so I will talk to her then having spent so much time in hospital already I'm a bit scared to call incase they keep me in again Confused. I read though that movement isnt meant to get less as you get nearer the end so I have no idea

Babytinx11 · 28/12/2014 19:08

tanny still in my own DH will be home soon but slightly getting to the end of my rope with mil's whingy texts about her doc who is only Poorly coz she fed him something she shouldn't have done Hmm

longestlurkerever · 28/12/2014 19:22

I think movements can tail off once the baby starts to engage and has less room.

mummy that's a tricky one. I hope it is a bfp but it's possible there are some bits of tissue remaining causing your hormones. Did you have a negative test before the positive one?

kd it's never impossible as you can have weird cycles.

Hi sunbathing. I am feeling bloody awful - puke city here. Happy meGrinGrin

On the limited movement talk, I remember panicking over not feeling my dd tons towards the end. I think it's quite common but defo check it out with your mw. They'd rather you pester them than anything untoward happen. And, assuming you're in the UK, you do contribute towards the nhs so get your money's worth Wink

Longest lurker I had 2 negative tests at the hospital the day I started bleeding with my miscarriage , bloods were at 19 then bloods 48 hours later were at 4. 27 days later and I have a bfp, seems very quick to me

GailLondon · 28/12/2014 23:11

Hi all I had my 12 week scan today (although I was actually 12 + 6 by LMP). Anyway, baby is measuring ahead of dates at 13 + 4, so my due date has changed to July 2nd. Should I repost the stats to reflect my new due date, or wait until a few things need updating? The bean was very active. It's weird how you can see all their insides e.g. brain etc.

I was so stressed when I was waiting to go in. I was nearly in tears in the waiting room, convincing myself that something had gone wrong. I had NHS scans at 6 and 9 weeks due to brown discharge upon wiping and all was fine. However, the brown discharge had increased in the week leading up to the scan and I had a couple of episodes of brown blood streaked across my panty liner. It was stressing me out so much! Anyway, I guess I'm officially in the second trimester now, so maybe I'll start to calm down?

congrats thesmallbear hope you can start to relax! Grin

Congratulations on a fab scan smallbear

Well I don't know what was going on yesterday still feeling under the weather and so very tired today but baby is back to her normal wriggly self has barely stopped fidgeting all day which is reassuring :)

broodylicious · 29/12/2014 18:10

Congrats small. Must be such a welcome reliefSmile here's to a boring rest of your pregnancy.

charlie, I'd just ask everything that's on your mind. I didn't ask much apart from how long scans are taking to book (I'm v impatient at the best of times so I wanted to know roughly how long I'd be waiting for a letter!) I think with dd, I asked for mw's opinions on best place for birth - there's two hospitals in my city, plus a midwife led unit about 40/50 mins away. She gave her opinion and we went with her recommendation - only issue was parking as it's notoriously bad but can't complain too much.

thesmallbear · 29/12/2014 18:34

Thanks all.

Glad you have those reassuring movements back baby Xmas Smile

Littlelady33 · 29/12/2014 18:42

Congrats small bear how exciting! Charlie I find that they bombard you with information at this appointment so my questions were answered before I had chance - but if there's anything on your mind do write it down before you go - when you are being given a lot of new information you might find that your mind goes blank!

Mummytogoldie · 29/12/2014 19:12

Phoned epu today and told yes it is a new pregnancy as at miscarriage on the 1st December my bloods were at 4 and bloods need to be over 25 to show a positive test :) feeling very scared. Having a scan in 2 weeks to check size etc as difficult to date as haven't had a period since my mc

longestlurkerever · 29/12/2014 19:16

Congratulations mummy. I understand the nerves but the odds are very much in your favour . You're in good company here.

thesmallbear · 29/12/2014 19:35

Congrats Mummy Xmas Smile

thegirlwiththebrokensmile · 29/12/2014 19:50

Hello all!
I'm on my 4th pregnancy, 2 miscarriages, 1 missed miscarriage and 1 beautiful child. I'm 10weeks, I woke up to a bleed on Christmas morning, and I've got an EPU scan tomorrow. I'm expecting another mmc and I'm feeling so nervous. It's been good to read your messages and odd to think so many people have had the same anxieties as mine all around the same time!
Hope all goes well for you ladies! Flowers
