I hope everyone suffering from the Horrors of Hyperemesis will find this thread useful as a source of support and information.

There's no TMI on here - can't be by definition - and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning as much as they feel the need to.

MOH's wonderful website is full of useful information on this illness:
sites.google.com/site/pregnancysicknesssos/
Another invaluable website is:
www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk/
If you need help in obtaining medication, this phone number is
brilliant:
024 7638 2020

Lastly, the NICE guidelines on treatment are useful:
cks.nice.org.uk/nauseavomiting-in-pregnancy#!prescribinginfosub

I would like to thank Everyone who has given such invaluable support and advice on this and on previous threads.

Remember when you are at your worst, 'This Too Shall Pass'. It really will.
So many women on this thread have thought they couldn't get through this, but they did.

Hello, everyone, I've just staggered up from a misgraine. Looks like I'll be back soon to start a new thread.
Fedupwithbuildngsnowman Don't want to sound b ossy, but do keep an eye on those ketones with kesostix (but you're a veteran, so you don't need me to tell you that.
comeagain That's lovely news.
hello Glad you are coping with a staggered return and those movements are so encouraging.

Hi all, not been on for a while! Not sure if any of you remember me, but I was struggling after going back to work after being signed off for 15 ish weeks. I work with food and it was making things really difficult. Anyway, my sickness was being controlled a little bit by medication (was still vomiting but nowhere as near as much) and was managing to eat little bits. It has now, however, returned with a vengeance. I'm 34+2 now, so I can definitely see light at the end of the tunnel, however really struggling again now, throwing everything back up including drinks. I'm at the midwife tomorrow so she will be able to test my ketones etc (I've run out of sticks).

I have finished work early and started my maternity leave early. I wasn't due to start until 37 weeks, but work were being arsey about me being signed off sick so I thought bugger it and just took my maternity leave early and will just take the full year.

How is everyone doing? This next 6 weeks can't come quick enough (hoping I don't go 2 weeks over, don't think I can cope for another 8 weeks!)

BlueberryWafer Of course I remember you, welcome back, I've said a few times I was anxious about how you had to go back too early. Really sorry work were awkward and things have got really bad again. What meds are you on? Things sound so bad it really sounds worth trying to get them changed. Glad that the end's in sight for you.
I'm just about to create a new thread as running out of space...

Hi all, I'm wondering if this is still an active thread? I teally hope so. I'm really struggling with sickness. I'm only 9 weeks pg and already have a 6 month old baby girl. This all happened a bit quicker than expected, as you can imagine! Last preg I had HYperemisis the whole way though and it was just awful. I know you all know how that feels. I was prescribed an anthistamene type tablet after 20 weeks which helped a little but didn't solve things.
I'm now frightened that this is going the same way and feel dreadful even this early on... It's really challenging to look after my baby whilst this is happening and coping feels impossible. Any advice would be very welcome. X
