Hi , just found out lm pregnant with my 2nd and l am 38 will be 39 when baby arrives. Just wondering how old everyone else is? I work in retail and always see pregnant women this time round l feel there are mums who are a lot older than the first time round when l used to see a lot of younger mums.

First baby and just turned 32 xx

Ohmjh · 27/09/2014 00:45

First baby at 20 and I feel the same. I'm mentally about 50 so am struggling massively with being branded a 'young mum' and would love to meet some people in the same boat as me. Everyone at my NCT classes have been mid to late 30's and although a first time mum is a first time mum, the judgement looks I get are shocking. I guess it's difficult both ends of the spectrum though.

dickiedoodah · 27/09/2014 03:26

Just turned 32, expecting second baby at the end of December :)

Lagoonablue · 27/09/2014 03:30

Was 43 with my first and 47 with my second. Ancient! Feeling it more now as 50 with reception child. I am youngish looking for my age but defo an 'older mum'.

FastWindow · 27/09/2014 03:36

37 when pfb born and 40 with second. It's all change these days, although I can't say I didn't wish I'd had children a bit earlier.

ChineseFireball · 27/09/2014 04:14

36 with PFB and 38 now - will be 39 when DC2 arrives. Unless s/he is 2 weeks 'early' Grin

Chottie · 27/09/2014 04:22

21 when DD1 was born
24 when DD2 was born

TwoLittleTerrors · 27/09/2014 04:27

You aren't too old. 36 with my first and 39 with my second.

hartmel · 27/09/2014 04:27

25 when DS was born
26 when DC will be born.(due in 4 weeks)

eurochick · 27/09/2014 04:29

I had my first ten weeks ago. I'm 38.

Turquoisetamborine · 27/09/2014 04:57

28 with my first and 35 with our second (if all goes well). I didn't want such a gap but I'm a lot more ready for it this time and more patient. We are in a bigger, nicer house and more financially and career wise settled so it's a better time than the first one. I do feel older though.
Haven't announced it at work yet but there'll be some eyebrows raises because of my age.

amy83firsttimer · 27/09/2014 06:36

31 - first baby. Still feel younger than most people at antenatal class etc but that's probably cos I'm immature!

TinyMonkey · 27/09/2014 06:48

Due in 10 weeks, first baby, conceived on my 40th birthday weekend.

tomanyanimals · 27/09/2014 07:15

19 with ds1 23 with this one being treated a lot better this way round I was excluded by other mums when I went to baby and mum classes last time as in their words I would only want it talk about make up ?? Loveallmyboys · 27/09/2014 07:17

Bondy83 · 27/09/2014 08:00

31 with my 3rd but feeling more like 51! Pregnancy is definitely easier when your younger

tuffgingernut · 27/09/2014 08:14

23 when I had DS, 25 when I had DD1. Now 32 and expecting DD2.

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 27/09/2014 08:16

DS1 I was 21 when he was born.
DC2 I will be 24 when born.

21 was a strange age to have one, the young moms still considered me an older mom but the older moms considered me a younger mom and there was noone my kind of age. Funny really when 1 generation ago early 20's were the norm for starting a family.

Nocturne123 · 27/09/2014 08:28

I was 26 for dd and 27 for ds. I plan to have dc3 before I'm thirty.
