Hi , just found out lm pregnant with my 2nd and l am 38 will be 39 when baby arrives. Just wondering how old everyone else is? I work in retail and always see pregnant women this time round l feel there are mums who are a lot older than the first time round when l used to see a lot of younger mums.

Was almost 38 when dd was born and will be almost 40 when dd2 is born.

Don't feel old at all, in fact have been healthier in my late 30's than at any other time in my life.

pinkteapots · 27/09/2014 08:35

dc1 - 29
dc2 - 30
dc3 - 31
dc4 - 32
dc5 due in a fortnight, 33

Feel young normally, but feel anchient when pregnant! Shuffle like i'm 70 due to enormous bump and spd. Would like a break from being preggers now pls!!

MrsMonkeyBear · 27/09/2014 08:40

Currently pregnant with my first and I'm 29. Although at the moment with the way my hips and back feel, I keep thinking I'm 89.

I just think back to my mum who was 32 when she had my little sister and was considered an older mum at the time.

Just about due with 1st at 38. Hoping for a second but knowing that might not happen. I know lots of mums of my age. Many of my uni friends been forging careers and only just getting round to it. You have children when it feels right for you. Younger mums probably have more energy but older mums often more financially secure.

LIG1979 · 27/09/2014 10:18

Was 33 with my 1st and hopefully will be 35 when I have my 2nd (11 weeks currently).

canweseethebunnies · 27/09/2014 10:56

29 first baby. First in my professional/work group of friends, all of whom are a few years older than me and the first out of my peer group to have a 'planned' baby.

BlingBubbles · 27/09/2014 10:58

2nd baby and just turned 34, due I. January.

JennyBlueWren · 27/09/2014 11:37

31 this is my first

LouMum14 · 27/09/2014 11:56

DC1 I was 24 when she was born
DC2 I will be 32 when he/she is born!

Quite a difference! Early days with this pregnancy but don't feel too different as yet.

Pantstootight · 27/09/2014 12:51

I was 28 when I had Dd1, her father (ex husband) was also 28.

Am now 40, expecting Dd2, 27 weeks, with new partner. I never thought I'd have 2 children with such a big age gap between them and I never imagined myself pregnant at 40.

Dp is 31, so a 9 year age gap often raises eyebrows when people find out. I look younger than 40 and he older than his age so no one really can tell the difference, together we have made our choices and are a happy, loving family.
... You only live once, and our feeling is to grab happiness and love when it comes along.

DD1 at 29
DD2 at 34
and when DD3 arrives in November, I will be 35.

crazykat · 27/09/2014 14:58

19 with dd1
20 with ds1
22 with dd2
24 with ds2

I only ever went to one baby group all the other mums were late 20s/early 30s and pretty much ignored me as I was a lot younger. It put me off going to anymore tbh. Once I had dd2 the logistics didn't work even though I wanted to try going to other classes. The only problem was dd1 was too old for the baby classes and dd2 too young for toddler classes and round here there were age limits on children who could attend.

SweetPeaPods · 27/09/2014 15:27

Ds2 28
