Hi , just found out lm pregnant with my 2nd and l am 38 will be 39 when baby arrives. Just wondering how old everyone else is? I work in retail and always see pregnant women this time round l feel there are mums who are a lot older than the first time round when l used to see a lot of younger mums.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

40 with first (and only)

Most of my friends have had children at 35+

RebeccaCloud9 · 27/09/2014 17:32

31, first baby.

leanne963 · 27/09/2014 17:45

I'm 27 - 6 weeks pregnant!

Oneandahalfboys · 27/09/2014 17:46

Had ds1 on my 31st birthday, ds2 due in December I'll be 32, just a few weeks off 33. First time round I seemed to be very much the average age, this time I seem to be a little younger. Maybe it's the fairly small age gap?

MultipleMama · 27/09/2014 18:02

I'm 24 and this is baby #7. I was pregnant with my first at 17 but had him at 18.

MultipleMama · 27/09/2014 18:07

When born:
18 - ds1
21 - dd1
22 - ID boys.
23 - b/g twins.
24 - When ds5 due in Jan.

haventgotaclue1 · 27/09/2014 19:29

DC1 due in November and I'll be almost 39

partyskirt · 27/09/2014 19:38

32, pregnant with my second.

dancestomyowntune · 27/09/2014 19:42

Dd1: 18
Ds1: 22
Ds2: 23
Dd2: 25
Now pregnant with dc5 @30.

dancestomyowntune · 27/09/2014 19:45

Wow MultipleMama you must have your hands full! I'd have loved b/g twins. Ds1 was a twin but I miscarried one at nine weeks. I often wonder if that baby would have been a girl.

CherryLips1980 · 27/09/2014 19:54

I was 33 when I had DD last November. Now pregnant again, I'll be 35 when this one is born unless s/he is a couple of weeks early!

hyperspacebug · 27/09/2014 21:27

Had my first at 25 - felt like a teen mum compared to my fellow uni peers forging their career. NCT was also full of older women.

Second at 28 and third at 31.

Roonerspism · 27/09/2014 21:34

Pregnant with third - 39.

If anything, I am less tired this time around.

chocolatedonut · 27/09/2014 21:36

First time mum at 22. I definitely feel in the minority at classes, groups, clinics etc

Iwillorderthefood · 27/09/2014 21:37

DD1 31
DD2 35
DD3 40

I felt worried about the last one, since she was a surprise, but it is lovely (hard work, but lovely)

MultipleMama · 27/09/2014 21:43

dancestomyowntune - Hard work but worth the reward :) I thought I had miscarried my lovely ID boys, it was such a horrible time turned out they just shared sac and placenta. I'm so sorry for your loss must have been a hard time to grieve while still being happy for your ds xxx

LuckyAugust · 28/09/2014 07:26

ds1 - 31, ds2 - 34. Now 36 and expecting ds3 in early February 2015 Smile

onefootinthebed · 28/09/2014 08:10

Thanks for the response. I don't feeel old since having my ds l am fitter and healthier than before l had him. After my doctors appointment and seeing how much had changed in 2-3 years and noticing than pregnant women l see were looking older it made me feel abit better to be honest.

Can l just say wow to all of you with big families, l am from a large family, l just started too late lm the only one in my family (6) who will have less than 4 children.

29 with my first, am just about to turn 30 and no plans for number 2 for a good 3 years. First in my group of friends to have a baby and everyone at work and in the family pretty shocked. I was like 'I'm nearly 30 not 16!' Felt very young at all the antenatal and baby groups and feel I get looked at as a young mum wherever I go. Don't think I look 30 which doesn't help!

WftsC · 28/09/2014 09:22

35 with first. Fairly typical in my peer group/work (first babies all at 30+). I feel pretty spot on for having a baby, age-wise.

MrsPatMustard · 28/09/2014 09:41

Had my DS at 39. Wasn't even the oldest Mum at my NCT class...

TheScenicRoute · 28/09/2014 10:02

36 with first and last non identical twins (have been TTC for 4&1/2 years)

SeaSaltMill · 28/09/2014 11:17

Nearly 29. Been trying for two years tho.

mumxof3x · 28/09/2014 12:42

24 when my 4th arrives x

Wobblebeans · 28/09/2014 12:53

Dd1 - just over a week before I turned 19
Dd2 - 21
Dd3 is due end of November and I'm 24.

I always said I wanted to get having children over and done with by the time I was 30. Just didn't think I'd start so young Grin
