Before dd we had x2 mc's and each pregnancy took 6-9 months. This was the same when I fell pregnant with dd.
I'm now expecting again (21 weeks) and this time it took......one attempt ..! We honestly thought it would take months but lol one moment of passion while on hol's and we came home with a souvenier....!!

Are you ttc..? Good luck

12months

Scoobydooooo · 24/09/2006 20:13

Ds - 3 months

2nd baby - 4 months had a mc

Dd - 6 months

hulababy · 24/09/2006 20:15

DD - 15 months; early mc, then 14-15 months again.

Tried for #2 for 18 months and stopped TTC for various reasons.

Have since found out, however, that this is caused by a condition called cervical stenosis and my DD is actually a miracle (a0 that she was ever concieved and (b) that she survived the early days because of damage to the sperm. So, until my op next year I am technically infertile.

Seona1973 · 24/09/2006 20:17

First time - around 2 to 3 months
Second time - around 6 months

Flossam · 24/09/2006 20:24

Wow hulababy, you were lucky then - what will op entail?

We are ttc - only first month though. Like I said I am obsessing. Haven't been on pill or the like since DS was concieved and finished BF over a year ago so hoping body is going to co-operate quickly. Need a reality check and some experiences so thanks!

first time round we started ttc in February 1995, fell pg pretty quickly but had a M/c in the July, well, we continoued to ttc straightaway and I fell pg probably on our Weddingnight 10th September 1995 and all went well!
After es was born we decided to ttc straightaway, but nothng happened for 2 years and then when I did fall pg it ended in m/c and we decided to take a break!
For ms we started to ttc in October 2001 and I fell pg February 2002.
With ys we started ttc in middle of october 2003 and I found out I was pg just before x-mas 2003!

hulababy · 24/09/2006 20:26

Flossam - nothing major. Just day surgery, but under general (never had that before!). They just stretch the cervical opening so it is normal. Mine is very narrow, more like a pin prick. Explains problems with fertility, explains why I didn't dilate properly (got to 2cm) during induction, and also explains why I get no periods on the pill and only VERY light ones off the pill. Have some more scans in November to confirm everything, but unlikely to be anything else they say. Op next year.

Flossam · 24/09/2006 20:30

Dosen't sound too major hopefully, although I'm sure it will be very sore. Will all be worth it if it works though - good luck HB!
