Hi ladies, not sure if there is already a post for this, but thought it'd be nice to have a spot for all September due dates to keep each other company through the last slog! I'm due September 15th (36 weeks & 6 days). I've had a few scares that this lil one may arrive early! and then there are the other times trying to gear myself up for the long wait. This is DC2, my first one was 8 days over the DD. I'm tired, in pain, have an itchy belly, and am ready to be done being pregnant ... But we're almost there!!

Nocturne123 · 01/09/2014 20:10

Foodiemum I've been getting that too and I'm hoping mine is just a big mover ...

I'm due on the 6th but booked in for a sweep on Wednesday and then induction around my due date as my bp has been a bit high .

Couldn't be more fed up /tired especially looking after "spirited" 15mo dd who does not nap achhhhhh !!

I keep changing between being terrified at the prospect of childbirth again and just wanting to meet ds !

Has everyone chosen a name ?

Good luck to everyone

FoodieMum3 · 01/09/2014 20:21

Oh nocturne, wow 15 months must be a tough gap for you. Is she walking? My second dd never napped either, apart from the car.
When they're a little older they will be so lovely for one another.

We are not 100% decided on a name yet, hoping that when we see him it will just click. What about you?

Nocturne123 · 01/09/2014 20:27

She's not just walking she's practically running ... Away from me as i waddle after her Grin

We're the same , I've found boys names so difficult but we've managed to agree on Rory ! Unless of course he doesn't look like a Rory then we are back to square one .

What age are your dd's?

FoodieMum3 · 01/09/2014 20:36

They are almost 3 and 8. Very excited although dd2 is a bit fed up now of waiting for baby. I thought I did well not telling her until I was 24 weeks or so but it's still been an eternity for her.

I hope the sweep gets things moving for you Smile

Nocturne123 · 01/09/2014 20:40

Aw bless her , that must be an eternity for a 3 yo ! Thanks , me too, though secretly hoping he'll make an appearance before then (unlikely)

Best of luck to you Smile

nikkilove73 · 01/09/2014 22:35

Hi hervagesty
Sounds very similar apart my fluid being higher have scan on Thursday then consultant to get date, my baby was over 7 pound 2 weeks ago so god knows what he will weigh Thursday ha!!
Feeling bit fed up same as you pressure down below & feeling very breathless worse when I sit down, am still in work which does not help!!
Are you happy with your date? Or does it seem ages away?? Your baby could turn tho am sure
Xxx

Rubyshoe · 04/09/2014 07:52

How is everyone doing? We have had our induction date confirmed for the 13th as all looked good on this weeks scan. 9 days to go. It's certainly a lot different from last time having a definite date to aim for!

Noturn hope your sweep went ok! Any twinges?

dreamingofwineandcheese · 04/09/2014 08:15

Hi Ruby, glad you have got a definate date.

I saw the MW on Monday, she is going to give me a sweep next Monday at 39+1 and another later in the week if needed. She said head is very low and certainly feels it!

I had another reflexology session yesterday and came over feeling really sick and dizzy which hasn't happened before. It lasted the rest of yesterday and today I don't feel that great either! I had a burst of energy at the beginning of the week but it's left me now!

imisssleepandwine · 04/09/2014 10:03

Hi Ladies I was hoping for an August baby, my EDD was the 31st. So I'm now 40 + 4. I had planned a home birth but found out yesterday I can't have one due to low Iron and a risk of PPH. I'm a little upset but it's better to be safe. So I packed my hospital bag and I'm ready to meet my baby.

I've had cramps and BH for 2 days now and keep thinking it's all going to kick of but nothing! DD was 40+ 5 so I was half expecting to be a few days late but it's hard thinking "is this it" every few hours!!!

Eatscones · 05/09/2014 00:44

I had my final MW appointment today ... I hope (unless I go overdue)! I'm getting excited to get this show on the road. I feel like I've been waiting for September to arrive ALL year - now it is here and I'm totally getting impatient to see our little one. I thought he may be too early, but now I'm 38+3 and have no signs of imminent arrival ... so the LONG days begin of trying not to overthink every twinge!

Sorry imisssleep that you missed your August baby, but hopefully it'll all kick off soon for you!

New baby arrived yesterday! X

Rubyshoe · 05/09/2014 07:36

hatetidying Congratulations on your precious arrival! Hope you are all doing ok and having lots of new born snuggles!

Dreaming hope you are feeling better now, fingers crossed for your sweep on Monday, sounds very promising that bubba is low down and hopefully warming up for an exit! This is DC2 for us and only 1/5 of the head is down but the midwife says that's not unusual in second babies.

Imisssleep sorry you have been pushed over into September, the Braxton Hicks sound promising though!

I have a horrible suspicion that my bump is quite comfy where it is and at 38 weeks when we are induced they are very much going to starting a "cold care" as the consultant put it. Ho hum though, never mind, as long as I have someone to snuggle at the end it's just a means to an end isn't it?

Eatscones · 05/09/2014 21:36

Congratulations hatetidying! Flowers So exciting to hear of babies being born!

I'm with you Rubyshoe I think my little one is right comfy just now Hmm

dreamingofwineandcheese · 06/09/2014 07:37

Congratulations Hatetidying Thanks

I had lots of cramps yesterday which were uncomfortable but not painful. I bounced on my ball to try to encourage them but they didn't amount to anything!

This must be the only time that I have been willing pain on myself! I just want nice big painful contractions to start!

Eatscones · 06/09/2014 23:23

How are those maybe cramps to contractions coming on dreamingof?

I'm starting to freak out! I think maybe I'll be happy to be prego forever to avoid going through the birthing process again! Aggggh I hate feeling nervous and out of control! Anyone else having a last minute panic session?

OP posts:
dreamingofwineandcheese · 06/09/2014 23:33

When I thought I was having contractions yesterday I had a bit of a panic. It wasn't about the birth but I was talking to DS and I suddenly felt really guilty that we are about to turn his little world upside down!

Still feeling quite crampy it seems to come on late afternoon/evening. I have had a lovely evening with some friends though who threw me a little baby shower and have been trying to guess the sex with all the old wives tales so it's been a giggle and nice distraction.

I just hope baby comes soon!

How are you feeling Eatscones?

Nocturne123 · 07/09/2014 07:36

Hi everyone and congrats to everyone who has had their babies !

My ds was born on 4th September after what was clearly a successful sweep ! Very short but very intense labour , the wee monster was back to back .

Good luck to everyone still waiting !

mum2fourds · 07/09/2014 08:01

I'm due today!! Having elective section on Tuesday (long story bit of standoff with consultant re dates but I know mine are correct!!) been having a lot of Brixton hicks some really painful last night so much so I thought I was in labour but still here this morning so obv not. Does anyone find their bump goes an odd shape during a contraction? Mine bunches up to the right to a hind if point looks really odd ? Anyway can't wait for Tuesday best of luck to all you ladies in waiting!!

dreamingofwineandcheese · 07/09/2014 08:07

Congratulations Nocturne Thanks

This gives me hope for my sweep tomorrow. I just hope the MW can do it. 39 weeks today!

Nocturne123 · 07/09/2014 09:13

Ah good luck dreaming ! If it's any consolation my sweep was not at all painful just slightly uncomfortable . I was so pleased as I had been told if it doesn't hurt it won't work .

Droflove · 07/09/2014 15:03

Ive just realised that I can join this thread as Im now going to be a Sept mom. I was due on the 31st of August and am still fecking here! Had 2 hrs of contractions last Sunday (on my due date) but then they stopped and here I am. My ds was 10 days early so I am totally new to this waiting game. Sick of it now. Induction is set for probably Thurs this week but I want to change it to Sat, anyone know if they do inductions on a Saturday?

Droflove · 08/09/2014 08:34

No need for that! Baby girl arrived at 3.47am this morning in the birthing pool, 2 hrs after we got to hospital and we're told we should go home:) 9lb1oz. Thank god that's over!

Twizzletoes · 08/09/2014 08:43

Congratulations!!

Nocturne123 · 08/09/2014 08:47
