alb oh well, looking on the bright side, you'll be with your new baby before next week. I wonder how they tell if spontaneous labour is likely.

Wikipedia is always a good source of knowledge. It's fascinating.

Hey all will have a proper read through later just checking in 15 weeks today and started feeling little flutters from baby today :) having a horrendous time trying to
Get in with a new gp bit thanks to
Midwife have an appointment next Thursday which is only a day later than it would have been of we hadn't moved Smile all my unpacking is done other than my bedroom that can't be done until my wardrobes arrive Smile

Hope all is well with everyone

squizita · 08/09/2014 16:38

Just back from the GP, they got all my results from Saturday. Not masses to report except they gave me the print out. The swelling is quite big and mostly shows signs of being benign but as there are some nodules and vascularity within it they have to biopsy. However they would have worded it more vigourously if they were severely worried, it just says 'consider biopsy after birth' not 'urgent biopsy'.
Oh well at least I live in London and the hospital with the thyroid team is 5 min from my mum's house. My sore neck might take my mind of my sore fanjo in a few weeks time haha.

missmakesstuff · 08/09/2014 21:44

Hi all, there's so much to catch up with, mrsg congrats on your little girl, gorgeous name, hope you're feeling better soon.
Good luck to everyone with impending scans and babies, I haven't been on in ages as had first week back at school last week and a week of horrendous headaches, a bit better today but just felt like sleeping at 7pm every night.
Dds first day at school tomorrow, I am picking her up, I will cry...
So tired but now at 11 week's and apart from that the sickness has gone and boobs not so tender, tummy seems less bloated too, so of course I'm panicking! Scan is next Tuesday, just wishing the days away.
Sorry I haven't mentioned everyone, on my phone and it's a pain at the best of times to post!
baby so glad your New place is nice and everything is working out.
Will have to keep up everyday in future so as not to miss anything!

OneLittleToddleTerror · 08/09/2014 21:57

missmakestuff you are near the end of the first trimester so it is definitely normal for morning sickness to go away. Nothing to panic about. And the tiredness will get better too when you get to the second trimester. I was like you in the first trimester, wanting to go to bed before 8pm! I remember I basically ate dinner, put DD to bed and then it's my bed time. Hang in there as only a week till your 12 week scan.

alb thinking of you. Hopefully you are enjoying your early labour now.

Babytinx11 · 08/09/2014 22:03

I've missed loads lol must remember to read every day mrsg love the name Olivia that is the name me and DH are thinking if this baby is a girl lol though it could change in a week lol pants at decisions lmao Smile

Glad to hear the lump doesn't seem to be anything nasty squiz

Hang in there missmakes it's normal to start feeling better Smile

OneLittleToddleTerror · 08/09/2014 22:08

squizita glad to hear your neck is ok too. If the doctors think it isn't urgent or serious it isn't. Hopefully there aren't any threads or boards on MN on necks Wink

baby you are making really good progress wit the house. How do you feel now. In love with it yet?

Cuppachaplz · 08/09/2014 22:41

squiz good news that they are not concerned re thyroid! best wishes for future tests x and hoping your show means imminent arrival of a sqizlet. Sad to report that I had a show on due date with DS but he rocked up 16 days late... I think that's unusual though.

onelittle and 1st yr med students are nurse shadowing and not allowed to do anything. They follow docs from latter half of 3rd yr onwards and even then limited roles. Very often allowing them to do much requires more staff, so they watch!

baby yay flutters :) glad to hear your move went smoothly, hope you're settled in ok

alb hoping score is wrong and sweep works for you

Headaches back with a vengeance here. Flashing lights and sick all day if I try to move. Hands and feet worse, and hating this pregnancy totally :( Being a total domestic slut, and hoping DH takes up the slack... MW tomorrow so get to hear hubs again :)

Babytinx11 · 09/09/2014 08:38

one I love the house especially my new kitchen the area on the other hand leaves allot to be desired lol but I'll just keep to myself then when I shut my front door it doesn't matter where we are Smile the mums at DS's school are nice but he goes to a school further away from where we live lol feeling a bit more settled now just wish my wardrobes would arrive so I can finish unpacking and start my vintage nursery :)

squizita · 09/09/2014 08:40

There is still a 10% chance of surgery and/or malignancy but it's so slow and weak growing with these things even if it IS they can just give me 1 day operation by Xmas and ta da it's gone. I'm also glad it's on 1 side- the main risk with removing nodules is how much of the gland gets cut away with them, so even if I'm in the 10% ill have half left even withave a clumsy surgeon! :)

missmakes 10-12 weeks all your symptoms change anyway I found. Perfectly normal! :)

Cuppa Yuk. :( Sorry you feel so rough - hope it clears soon.

InternetFOREVER · 09/09/2014 08:52

baby yay for flutters, how exciting! I'm only 12 weeks but swear I could feel something like tiny little bubbles a couple of days ago (yes, probably gas!)
missmakes I hope your DDs first day at school went well! Did you cry? Its my DSs first day tomorrow and I'll probably be sobbing in the playground... I can't believe how quickly the last 4 years has gone (although after a sleepless night in the early days it felt as if days went on forever)
cuppa do they know whats causing all these horrible symptoms? Hope you feel better soon.
squiz hope you're in the 90% and don't have to have surgery or anything.

Hope all ok with everyone today... I've got my 12 week scan today and am sick with nerves, please wish me luck!

GandTnow · 09/09/2014 09:02

Good luck Internet, I'm sure all will be fine and you'll see a wiggling bean on the screen! xx

Babytinx11 · 09/09/2014 09:17

internet felt them a couple of times early yesterday evening as well but nothing since guessing though they aren't meant to be regular till baby is bigger Smile

Slightly off topic question here but what does everyone thing of the new royal baby on the way? I am really pleased for them nice to see good news for once Smile

InternetFOREVER · 09/09/2014 09:51

Yeah I'm happy for them, although I remember that my first MMC coincided with her being pregnant, so can't believe that they're onto number 2 and I'm still in the first trimester!

squizita · 09/09/2014 10:16

internet Same here, she was only weeks ahead of one on my losses. Now I might be in St Marys public ward with the hoi polloi while poor Catherine is up chucking into a gold plated bucket over in Lindo. Rich or poor, pregnancy sucks at times!!

HollyBen · 09/09/2014 11:20

Good luck with the scan internet

Glad you are settling in baby I think we are due date buddies now! Pretty sure I felt a few flutters yesterday. Doubting myself as didn't feel DD until 23 weeks

GailLondon · 09/09/2014 11:28

Hurray! 20 week scan went really well and its a little boy! A lovely little brother for DS. Wow i think i'm actually having a baby in January!

Alb1 · 09/09/2014 11:38

Good luck internet!

squizita · 09/09/2014 11:57

Gail How exciting! A lovely baby boy! :) :)

TeaandHobnobs · 09/09/2014 12:17

Yay Gail, that's lovely! Very exciting. Good luck today Internet.

Glad you are loving the new house Baby. Re royal baby news, I emailed BIL and SIL last night to give them our news, and first comment was "Just like Will and Kate!". Er, yes Confused ahem I was pregnant first

How are you feeling today squiz? Cuppa I hope you are resting and not feeling so rough Sad sod the housework!

My SPD has started flaring up the last few days - we drove to Glasgow and back this weekend, and I think all that sitting in the back of the car for hours on end didn't do me much good. It seems a little better today though, so I hope I can continue to minimise it for now by being sensible. We are off to the States in 2 weeks and I'm starting to freak out a bit - I will be good and wear my flight socks and move around a lot, but I know a friend who experienced bleeding on a transatlantic flight and have read other stories too < fish slap needed > and it is just making me fret. Stoooopid.

Desperate to feel some movement. Only 13+4 though so no chance. hummmmmmmmmm

CorporeSarnie · 09/09/2014 12:33

Congrats gail on the scan, great news.
I MCd two days before Prince George was born, I remember watching the coverage in tears, so have mixed personal feelings. I feel sorry for her though, being so ill with HG and so being made to announce so early on.
teatry and be careful, you have a long time to go. My SPD definitely feels worse when I sit still for extended periods, so long car journeys are probably the worst. I didn't have much trouble on my transatlantic filghts at 20-21 weeks, although I was up and down the aisles with DD for quite a bit of them. YY to the flight socks, beautiful they are not but they helped control some of the cankle. No reason that a flight should cause a bleed unless you have a clotting issue; I do find I get nose bleeds more at altitude, which are a 2nd tri symptom for me anyway, and had a bad one on my way to the US, which must have been delightful for those sitting near me.

HollyBen · 09/09/2014 13:58

Great news gail!

Your mention of Glasgow has me curious tea. I am in Edinburgh.

I am as pleased to hear of new royal baby as i am when i hear anyone's news. One if my friends had her baby a few weeks before the royal baby. Heartbreaking the little one only lived for a week and I know she found it very difficult with all the coverage. I can imagine this will be hard for her

Babytinx11 · 09/09/2014 15:56

Yea holly I think we are due date buddies Smile

Fab news about your scan gail

I was curious about royal baby #2 coz I have seen so much negativity about it to be honest I just love baby news don't care who's it is lol and it was lovely to get a news update that wasn't depressing Smile

TeaandHobnobs · 09/09/2014 16:16

Thanks Corpore Smile

HollyBen we were just up for the weekend for a friend's wedding!
