feather Take it! Especially clothes, which they'll grow out of in 5 minutes anyway! I was hoping to get some bits from my cousins, but I think their babies won't be old enough yet for them to get rid off the bigger stuff. I will ask them anyway. Everything is so expensive as it is, so I'd take second hand/freebies when you can.

As for the pram, I'm still torn on that too. My parents have kindly offered to buy us one, but I am also looking at 2nd hand options. A grand is a LOT of money and if you can find something second hand you can go and see first maybe, it could be an option. I would certainly think about it.

ladybunnikins · 26/10/2014 10:23

Feather if you save £100 by borrowing a car seat then you'll have more money for the stokke xplory Wink
Unfortunately my friends and family are all having second babies at the same time as mine is due so no hand -me-downs for me!

FeatherFeather11 · 26/10/2014 23:05

That's very true lady Wink

foxy you're right on the clothes thing.

How is everyone? All good? Nice weekends?

FeatherFeather11 · 29/10/2014 21:29

Is everyone ok? Very quiet here!

foxyfemke · 30/10/2014 07:27

I'm really struggling at the moment. I had really hoped the 2nd trimester was going to be easier (I'm 15 odd weeks), but I am still exhausted and on top of it I have vertigo at the moment, which they won't treat for now, hoping it will sort itself out. Feeling really crummy as a result. I have been told by my GP to take things really easy, so I am sleeping lots, I'm working from home so I can pace my work and I have cancelled quite a few appointments and things.

At least I have started to show the past week or so, so at least I can see why I am going through all this, but it doesn't make me feel better. I'm a bit of a zombie at the moment...

ladybunnikins · 30/10/2014 10:35

Also tired and really busy at work, one more week and then I have a week off, I can't wait!

CatsCantFlyFast · 30/10/2014 20:33

Hey guys. Really want to tempt some more of you to facebook group; I'm keen to follow your journey but it's easier over there! Anyone even slightly tempted? I know I sound like a broken record but it's a private group, nobody on facebook can see that you're part of the group or see anything you post, except for the berries. There's a couple of you on there - perhaps they'll be able to tempt you

Stokke - have a quick read about how unstable they are - I really wanted one but that put me off.

Heartburn = hairy baby according to the old wives tales. I was glugging gaviscon out of the bottle by the third tri and mini merk was born with lots of hair including on her bum

RevoltingPeasant · 30/10/2014 21:24

Hello all!!

26+3 today. Definitely starting to feel breathless walking up stairs etc. although I was absurdly please when a colleague told me I had a neat bump

I just got Juju Sindin's Birth Skills from Amazon, it looks v practical! Also a hypnotherapy cd which I'll have a go at.

I also bought this cuddly duck towel from Mothercare because it was too cute to resist! Grin

Had a funny turn in the midst of a seminar today. One of the rooms I'm in is really badly ventilated and sooooo hot. I've been asking for a fan for 3 weeks now and nothing! After about an hour, I felt so rough (hot, sick, dizzy) I thought I might be sick so I called a break and had to go to the loos and sit down on the toilet with my head between my legs, and then splash water from the sink on my face. Eurgh! Bloody difficult to concentrate on Frankenstein through all that, I can tell you.....

ladybunnikins · 30/10/2014 22:10

Let us know what the hypno CD is like RP, I'm thinking of getting one, it would be a lot cheaper than an actual hypnobirthing course.
I agree with Merk, the FB group is worth joining, most of them are well into motherhood though and there are some instadiffers but they don't seem to bother me as much now.

foxyfemke · 31/10/2014 07:43

How can we find this FB group?

I feel actually rested for the first time in a while. Not getting my hopes up too much, but it looks like I might get some work done today!

CatsCantFlyFast · 31/10/2014 09:07

To join the fb group just pm me your real name so I can find you on facebook, and I will add you. You can't actually see it exists as a group unless you're a member

foxyfemke · 31/10/2014 10:05

Great. I've messaged you.

ladybunnikins · 01/11/2014 17:42

Just bought a snuzpod on ebay for £120! Now got to break the news to DH, he's worried about me getting my hopes up too much.

Bunnygirlie · 01/11/2014 20:29

Hey ladies! How you all doing?

We are good thanks, baby bunny is nearly 4 weeks old which is scary. I never thought I'd get pregnant so being here now is insane!

We have a chicco next to me co-sleeper, it's fab having him next to me but god my back is killing me from twisting and lifting him in and out!

Ref buying new stuff or getting second hand, if we had been offered stuff from friends I would have taken it but all my friends did the child thing years ago so don't have their stuff anymore. The things you def want new are mattresses and car seats!!!

Bonjour all! Hope everyone is well. Had a mad few days entertaining some friends from abroad who've been staying with us. It's been lovely having them but also exhausting!

Also having work drama - my boss has decided to advertise my maternity cover as a totally different, lesser, role. I'm really pissed off about this. What do
you all think? Sound a bit weird to
you? I've got quite a senior role and he wants to advertise for an assistant type job instead...he believes he can carve up most of my duties amongst the team and 'could do with an assistant for a while'.

rp that towel is too cute! Are you feeling better now?

lady well done on the eBay snuzpod!

bunny naww! Four weeks! How are you feeling? Is all ok?

Thanks for all your advice. Have decided to accept all out mates' baby kit donations - it's just silly not to.

I'm looking really pregnant now. Undeniably so. It's quite nice but I'd imagine I won't be able to tie my own shoe laces in a month or so. Blush

RevoltingPeasant · 03/11/2014 12:14

Hi all, so I've just been signed of work sick with pg related complications Confused feel like a right drama queen but.....

Over the weekend I started having mucus "shows" and so rung NHS direct as concerned about premie labour, infection etc. they said to make sure I got an emergency GP appt today.

So I did and at first she didn't take it too seriously, but then took my GP which was a bit raised and signed me off work sick! I wasn't that keen but she said I needed bed rest and the only thing they would do if I was in early labour was advise rest, and then I started thinking how awful I would feel if I ignored dr's advice and something happened to the dino, so I've cancelled meetings etc for today and tomorrow and am at home. Feels weird.

Feather that is annoying but also worrying. I mean, are they trying to downgrade or devalue your role??? Would have a confidential chat with HR if possible..... They haven't even advertised my mat cover yet, eek!

Snowlily · 03/11/2014 13:12

Hello lovely chopper-berries, sorry to say that I'm afraid I'll have to leave you. Had our 12 wk scan last week and it was bad news- seems little snow baby didn't make it (baby must have stopped developing shortly after our 8 week IVF scan). Had surgery Friday and now trying to get back to 'normal,' we moved house the same day as the scan so that's helped take our minds off things a little. I wish you all health and happiness for you and your little ones to be, take care xxx

ladybunnikins · 03/11/2014 14:28

So sorry Snowlily, an MMC is shit and especially after IVF. I think Bushy went through the same thing. I hope we see you back here again. x

RevoltingPeasant · 03/11/2014 18:34

Snow I'm so very very sorry Flowers

ladybunnikins · 03/11/2014 20:05

RP I've just seen your other thread, I hope you can get some rest and everything settles down but it would definitely be worth speaking to your midwife/the hospital as well.

CatsCantFlyFast · 03/11/2014 20:31

Snow I'm so sorry x

FeatherFeather11 · 03/11/2014 21:32

Very sorry snow. Thinking of you and sending you and you OH all the best. Just so unfair.

rp I replied earlier but it doesn't seem to have posted. Hope you're ok and you should not feel bad for being signed off work. This has to take priority. Is your hosp/doc going to do any further investigations?

Not sure about my job situation. Feeling bullied and stressed about it all and really don't want to be feeling like that.

winohhh · 03/11/2014 21:37

So sorry snow. So awful. I had a mmc in February. I also opted for the surgery. It was definitely the right decision for me. I hope you are taking care of yourself. Xxx

winohhh · 03/11/2014 21:42

Hope you're feeling ok about being signed off RP. It sounds like the right thing to do, we must look after ourselves and our cargo!

I hope things get sorted with your job feather. My job hasn't been advertised yet... Not really sure what's going to happen. Feel like I'm on count down now.

Glucose tolerance test this week. Not looking forward to starving myself!

yorkiebilb · 03/11/2014 21:49

snow I'm so sorry to read your news. Thinking of you x
