Hi Kitten - I started antenatal yoga and pilates recently and those help with the aches and pains. You might find them useful too?
I wouldn't worry about weight loss. As I am at greater risk of pre-eclampsia I weight myself regularly and went from 65 kg at 8 weeks to 66.7kg at 19 - i.e., only putting on about 3lbs or so! Although my body shape has changed significantly.
Then from about 20 w I've started to gain and I'm up above 67 now and seem to be climbing steadily, like about a half-pound to a pound every week or so. So I reckon you don't really 'need' to gain weight during the first half as long as your baby is growing - and you'll find out in 8 days - eek!
Feather thanks for the support :) DH and I have decided not to complain on the grounds that we want to conserve energy, and also I am a bit nervy about hospital staff anyway and I don't want to feel like the antenatal ward is a place where I've made a complaint or 'been difficult'. It makes sense in my head anyhow! But I did say to the consultant that I thought it wasn't great and gave the sonographer's name, so I'm hoping he gets an unofficial quiet word.
I will refuse to see him again at the 33 week scan, though, if he is on that day.
Bunny, take courage - you are so nearly there!
though, it must be so uncomfy and you must feel so impatient! It's only days now though.
