Wish list!! So I'm enjoying the guilty pleasure of buying things for my little bump. Getting a bit bored of the essentials and like browsing the more unnecessary products so am desperate for your recommendations for my wish list as my mum wants to buy something for the baby. I quite like the Cocoonababy so that's on my list as well as a merino wool swaddle. Anything else you've come across that you like?

Lucky boy Sunday dolls and teddy s cute is a weird way!

Waggamamma · 30/06/2014 20:05

I would really like a Morrck car seat wrap...I will keep thinking.

FelixFelix · 30/06/2014 20:09

I highly recommend the cocoonababy! It saved us weeks of sleepless nights. I'd consider it an essential now Wink

Not for newborn, but a jumperoo. We haven't got space for one but my DD tried one out at a friends house and she loves it. Also a Tomy Starlight. When dd was very tiny and hysterically crying, we would put it on and she would instantly stop and be amazed by the projector and music.

Heatherbell1978 · 30/06/2014 20:10

I'm hoping for a maxi cosi cocoon thing for the baby to wear in his car seat:-)

A Cuddledry towel (or two) - the sort that clip round your neck. Make getting a baby out of the bath so much easier.

WhoMovedMyVuvuzela · 30/06/2014 20:17

This mobile because the animals go round very gently while it plays nice relaxed melodies, of of which helped all of mine get to sleep...but just as importantly 1 'go' lasts long enough for you to have a shower.

SomeSunnySunday · 30/06/2014 20:35

We had the old version of that mobile, whomoved, for DCs 1&2 - it was a godsend, and I've just remembered that I broke it trying to shove it into a cupboard once we'd finally finished with it. Definitely need to get a new one for DC3.

Sleepyhoglet · 30/06/2014 20:42

Oh and I'd probably add those tuppence and crumble star wraps.

Oh dear, i think I now need ALLLLLLL of these things :)

lockie1983 · 01/07/2014 11:40

The Bubble Wrap large muslin squares. Essentially over priced for a big square of fabric (and admittedly I got mine as a baby show so only paid a fiver each) but couldn't be without them. Used as playmat, picnic blanket, swaddle, cot sheet, sun shade, comforter, burp cloth ... Baby is now 1 and the patterns are still nice and bright and they are lovely and soft.

Also, wouldn't be without our Stokke sleepi - but a cot comes under the essential list surely !

I want a dream sheep! Praying somebody will get me one!

FoxtrotOscarBackToEconomy · 01/07/2014 15:21

Another vote for cocoonababy. It was brilliant with DC1 and DC2 had her first sleep in it this morning and seemed to approve (came home from hospital this morning).

Layla001 · 01/07/2014 15:25

Oooooo I ordered a cocoonababy yesterday. I was worried it night be a waste of money so now I am pleased.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 01/07/2014 15:30

Last pg it was the Aden and Anais giant swaddling clothes. I eventually caved and got them, telling dh they cost £10 and failed to add "each" on the end Grin

We used them daily for six months and they are still in immaculate condition for ds who will be here in October.

My dream item for this baby is a Tomy Three in One Napper. Id pay full price if it was going to do two dcs but this is our last one.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 01/07/2014 15:31

sorry, Tiny Love Napper

Mnippy · 01/07/2014 16:34

Yes to Aden and Anais. We used them as swaddle clothes and even now use them at picnics, to put on the floor at friend's houses, to cover the pram to avoid over stimulation at nap time. £10 each...but only by buying four. By if you are using them as swaddles for newborns, you need four!

Annarose2014 · 01/07/2014 16:40

Ooh I want that Rocker too! Also obsessed with Star Wraps as you can clip harness straps around them (and they make baby look like Maggie Simpson in her star shaped snowsuit)

I need want a Miracle Baby swaddle which keeps their arms in, a snoozeshade, and any item of clothing from Nippaz With Attitude. I think they're brilliant.

Annarose2014 · 01/07/2014 16:40

By the way, what on earth is a Cocconababy and why do I need one?

Waggamamma · 01/07/2014 16:50

Sorry to be a party pooper annarose but you really shouldn't use a star wrap with harness straps over the top. It's not safe to have babies in carseats with jackets, snowsuits or blankets underneath.

Marking my place unashamedly Smile

ilovehotsauce · 01/07/2014 16:56

Can't believe no one has mentioned a sling

Are the essential?

I loved my close caboo sling when dd was tiny she would sleep in it for hours!

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 01/07/2014 17:01

Oh im thinking of getting the close caboo. Especially as ds will be a winter baby - ive heard they are quite hot! How long did your LO use it for?

Cyd4 · 01/07/2014 17:16

4Moms Mamaroo. Bloody marv. Get them for half the price on eBay then resell

redexpat · 01/07/2014 17:46
