What do people think of the name Stephanie in general...I think I like it but am not 100% sure but DH really likes it.

Nemo - I asked the same question on here about Jesse. Partner was adamant we should use it as it was teh only boys name we both loved. Was a teeny tiny bit relieved we had a girl.

I just knew that Jesse wouldn't have been your dh's choice - I can just hear my dh going on about people calling him a big jesse.
I like Jesse for a boy but am not overly keen on Jessie for a girl, esp as a middle name.
I prefer Alexandra as a first name to Stephanie - sorry.

Luke Alexander has good combo of long and short names

Prefer Stephanie Alexandra to Stephanie Jessie but I hope your surname's short - Stephanie Alexandra Rowlington or similar could be a bit of a mouthful but (eg) Stephanie Alexandra Rowe works fine.

Stephanie Alexis? Stephanie Alexa?
