Lalalalala can't hear you...

Just want to get through past 10 weeks. All looked great at this stage in the summer and that went tits up.

time2deal · 01/05/2014 21:52

Congratulation Vallinnapod! I'm totally jealous, I'd love twins. Fingers and toes crossed that everything holds tight.

I booked my Mat leave today! Yay! And I worked out I have 63 working days left. Not that I'm counting the days or anything..

vallinnapod · 02/05/2014 04:31

Been awake since 2am Hmm

Time that is so exciting. Would that me going on mat leave at the earliest possible point? How are you going? Can I be nosey?? It is much more restrictive having had your TAC?

time2deal · 02/05/2014 08:10

Its close to the earliest date. I think I could have gone 2 weeks earlier, but I'm going at the start of august which felt like a good time.

The TAC is no problem! Scar is healing really well and no pain or anything. Its destroyed the very small amount of stomach muscles I may have had, so I'm more flabby than I think I would be. Hard to tell really though. Its had an indirect effect I think. The inactivity over a month seems to have caused some backache and hip pain. Would have happened anyway, but the inactivity has weakened the supporting muscles I think.

The hip issue isn't SPD. they said it was an old v mild injury made worse by pregnancy hormones and inactivity. But I'm getting treatment and already improving. I was worried as I'm already struggling to stand up and walk, so I'm pleased its not SPD and is fixable, or at least can be significantly improved.

Vall great news on the HCG test results. Not long to go until the early scan and you will see how many magic beans are growing. Saying that though, we only saw one baby on our six week scan last time and then got a shock at seven weeks! Also, anecdotally, my clinic did have a lady who had triplets from a DET and also in their 15 year history a lady who had quads!

Time glad to hear that you are healing well, niggling aches and pains aside. We saw Dr Wales again yesterday and he did say my cervix was short, but is still plumping for a TVC. Booked in for the 14th May Shock. If my cervix has shortened further at my 12 weeks scan, i may ask if we should try a TAC.

Thanks all for your support yesterday, and especially nobeer for my lovely hug, nothing beats a good hug.

Good news beetle, so glad to hear it xx

vallinnapod · 04/05/2014 18:06

Having felt very rough over past few days (but loving it as VERY reassuring) I now feel completely 'normal'. Boobs not sore, no nausea.

I know symptoms come and go but it is so hard not to focus on the worst when the worst has happened previously Hmm

time2deal · 04/05/2014 23:21

Hey Val, the symptoms seem to come and go. I'm 17 weeks and still surprised how different I can feel day to day. From what the ladies on here have said there can be symptoms with a bad results, and no symptoms when things are fine.
Doesn't stop the worry though. I think we are all just wishing the weeks away.

vallinnapod · 05/05/2014 07:49

Thanks...DH was pointing out I had all my 'symptoms' when I had my MMC (just extreme tiredness in that PG. And with DS I had no symptoms my entire pregnancy.

I think it was just going from feeling really rough to fine. Never happy....

Only 16 days to go...and let's face it. If all goes well I will have a few hours reassurance before mentalling again ConfusedWinkGrin

Bearsandhoney · 05/05/2014 10:02

Val, my symptoms are definitely coming and going. You're going to menkul about this whatever, so I'm just saying! The first scan will help though. Xx

Ferreroroche123 · 05/05/2014 10:35

Val

My symptoms came and went throughout the first trimester. Sometimes they would disappear for upto 3 days at a time. I arrived at my 8 week private scan in tears because I was so paranoid, and the sonographer chuckled and said "gosh these disappearing symptoms are the Bain of all pregnant women.... So much so it keeps me in expensive shoes".

So it would seem that there are a lot of first trimester ladies needing to book private scans due to disappearing symptoms.

Ferreroroche123 · 05/05/2014 10:37

I've hit 28 weeks today. Woohoo! Officially entered my third trimester. This momentous occasion has been marked by a return of midnight peeing and non stop hunger. Am eating like a garbage truck.

vallinnapod · 05/05/2014 11:03

Thanks ladies... My sensible head knows all if this...unfortunately it is on leave for the next 8 months Wink

Ferrero congrats on the milestone!

I'm off to contemplate becoming a sonographer...

moggle · 05/05/2014 16:56

Congrats ferrero!! I hit 12 weeks today and feeling pretty chuffed (although we'll only know on weds at the scan if that's warranted...). Especially pleased to say goodbye to cyclogest!!
Celebrated by getting back on my bike for the first time in about 4 months. Just a gentle pootle with DH and the bumps were a pain but it felt good to do some exercise. Am knackered now though!

moggle · 05/05/2014 16:57

Val my symptoms have waxed and waned too. Also I found the wait for that first scan by far the worst, actually worse than the wait to do the test. The hours just absolutely crawled by. xxx

BeetlingAbout · 06/05/2014 09:42

I hope everyone had a great baby growing weekend in the sunshine. Back to the gloom today in London.

Going by measurements I'm 12 weeks today! Booking in tomorrow, scan on Thursday and stitch next week.

Congratulations ferrero and moggle on your milestones.

Vall my symptoms have also been inconsistent I think the body gets used to the hormones and then they rise causing a return of symptoms and so on...

That's great news to have reached the 12 week mark beetle, its a good place to be :) I suspect you're not looking forward to the stitch, but can it be worse than some of the other procedures we have all gone through on this IVF train? (I am hoping not, but wincing at the idea if it... Is it done with an anaesthetic?).

Congrats to ferraro for getting so far, the next 10 weeks will go pretty quickly and your baby will soon be in your arms :)

Moggle: another one to reach the 12 week mark: well done! When is your scan? I can't wait to stop the nightly injections of clexane that have left my belly black and blue as well as the twice daily cyclogest thingy's! Not to mention the twice weekly HUGE needles my hubbie has had to put in my arse!! That will be a lovely development... :)

AFM: My bank holiday weekend was very busy and a lot of fun, but I am exhausted!! Recently no matter how much sleep I get, I want more. Mid afternoons I could easily have a nap each day and my energy levels are pretty crap to bye honest... Roll on that feeling of well being that I vaguely remember accompanying the 2nd trimester (which, god willing, we will reach). I know this lethargy is very common but it feels like I will be like this for ever!

Waves to everyone, hope you're all well. Xx

time2deal · 06/05/2014 20:07

Beetling, did you decide on a TVC or TAC? Sorry if I've asked this before... my brain is mush.

Ferreroroche123 · 07/05/2014 12:08

Hi all, thanks for your best wishes.

Had my first trip up to triage in a long time this morning after two days of not feeling my baby kick much.

Was awake at 3am when he normally wriggles so much he sparks off huge braxton hicks and visits to the loo, but last night nothing.

Triage put me on the trace monitor for 20 mins and gave me a glass of freezing cold water and after 10 minutes he was kicking up a storm.

So I am back hom, shattered but relieved.

Have my 28 week growth scan and a pregnancy massage tomorrow, so hoping I will be much happier by tomorrow afternoon.
