Got my first antenatal appointments through today. Booking in on 13 June (at 11 weeks) and my NT Scan on 20 June (bang on 12).

Little apprehensive as having the harmony test and have the NT scan and results from that at 12+4. I just hope there are no soft markers on 20th that will completely stress me out worry me.

nobeer · 01/06/2014 18:41

Not long now Val! unless you sneak another scan in before
I've got my 12 week scan tomorrow. Am very nervous. Although in theory with all this nausea I should be absolutely fine, no?!

vallinnapod · 01/06/2014 18:59

LOL nobeer, I do have my final scan with the fertility clinic on Weds and my first Harmony one before the NHS one Grin

Don't worry. You should feel really confident thanks to PGS and the sickness!

resipsa · 01/06/2014 20:53

It's not lasted. God, I wish I was having my baby in August (lost Dec) or January (lost last week). Why me?

Sorry all. Glad to hear you're well. Good luck with scans etc.

nobeer · 01/06/2014 22:11

Oh res, love. I have no idea why. It's not bloody fair and you don't deserve it. Please please be kind to yourself, you're grieving so don't give yourself a hard time. (((((hugs)))))

Ferreroroche123 · 01/06/2014 22:20

Aww res,

I don't know why you. Life is just cruel sometimes.

Allow yourself time to go through the emotions you feel. They are totally natural and understandable.

In the meantime, hugs, hugs and more hugs.

resipsa · 01/06/2014 22:28

ThanksThanksThanks

It's a funny world. Those who were around this time last year might recall that DH and I had some difficulty (understatement) agreeing to DEs. In respect of adoption, however, he is quickly and completely on my page despite his DPs reservations. Weird (but good), eh?

Bearsandhoney · 02/06/2014 07:07

That's good news Res. having something positive to focus on will be great for both of you. I think it's a wonderful plan Grin.

Bugs have you called your MW? I am with you rational self. I am sure it is all fine, just no good for your stress levels.

Res that is great that you are both on the same page re: adoption.

Ferreroroche123 · 02/06/2014 10:06

Buggerlugs,

Have u had your 20 week scan or can u feel the baby move yet?

Give the hospital a call. They can look into where it is coming from and check the baby is ok.

Is there a local EPU you can self refer to? Or even a private scan to allay your fears?

Good buggerlugs,

Hope the brown stays away and tomorrow can confirm that all is fine.

resipsa · 02/06/2014 12:02

Bugs - don't panic - it'd be v unusual for any problem at your stage to manifest itself with an innocuous bit of brown blood. Squeezing your hand until scan time (but know and acknowledge how awful you must be feeling).

nobeer · 02/06/2014 14:28

Got everything crossed for you bugs

nobeer · 02/06/2014 18:11

AFM Had my 12 week scan this morning. All fine Grin so my fears that it had just fallen out were completely unfounded. We saw its little arm move and it shook its head too. Exciting stuff!

Told work, got such a lovely reaction from boss, and others too. Next scan at 16 weeks to check everything ok as some meds I take for a pre existing condition can cause spina bifida (but I have been taking massive doses of folic acid to prevent this, so not too worried).

Ferreroroche123 · 02/06/2014 18:29

Yay! Great news nobeer.

It's always such a relief to get the 12 week one out of the way and see a baby!

Glad your work have reacted well. Hopefully your menkulling can reduce for a while and you can enjoy it.

resipsa · 02/06/2014 19:53

Nobeer - lovely news -Smile.

vallinnapod · 02/06/2014 20:30

Brilliant news nobeer Grin

vallinnapod · 03/06/2014 08:52
