Hey all - boom you are being very mysterious - I reckon its soon! If they are right about the weights, you are carrying around about a stone in that womb! Good luck at appointment tomorrow!
Poor kitty! I hope things are soothed down there soon. The biscuit icon is a bit of an unfortunate shape in the circumstances
HV visit was fine, she didn't run a gloved finger around my undusted surfaces - she gave us the red child health record, including a list of dates for checks and vaccinations, took some details for DH and other contacts (my mum), gave us some bumf on feeding, nappies, basic baby care information. She seemed nice, but it was disconcerting that she was about my age or younger - I imagined a matronly middle aged woman!
Big Moan: Had my midwife appointment on Friday, I was measuring large again and had trace glucose in my wee so she sent me for a GTT and requested a scan. Fast-forward to today, starved myself ready for the GTT - about to be pricked with the needle when they realise I'm 35 weeks and fetch the clinic manager. She says I shouldn't have a GTT as it's too far on (because: it's usual to have some sugar, they shouldn't have been testing for it anyway, and there's nothing they could really do at this stage in any case). She books me a scan for later that day with the consultant. Go for the scan (after a big fuss where they couldn't find the appointment), and baby is still large by the same degree (95th centime and almost exactly in proportion to last scan at 28 weeks), but as there is a lot of fluid I probably SHOULD have had the GTT! So instead they send me for a blood test, to check glucose levels and another vial to check for any infections - consultant said all was in proportion to size of the baby, but that this was just a precaution - :oS Kind of glad they are being careful, but also feel a bit exasperated by the double whammy of tests and reassurances. Hoping to just get normal results - and of course if anything is wrong, I will be very grateful for their caution! In terms of gestational diabetes consultant said there was probably nothing to be done at this stage, but it would be a flag for future pregnancies. Sheesh.
