For pregnant berries at any stage. Scary thought but this is the one where some babies will appear!

Welcome thunder kitten!

Have a look at the nappy lady website. My SIL showed me the reusable nappies she uses and they look very easy. She recommends totbots or bum genius. The initial outlay is quite £, but can get them second hand on ebay etc. she also suggested disposables for the first few days.

Would love to meet up. There's a few of us in South London area, so could travel together, if that's what we do. With due dates approaching, could we do a few mini meet ups, if that's easier? Really hoping to meet some berries and their babies x

Bunnygirlie · 26/03/2014 22:41

Evening all, just a quick check in before bed.

Sorry to hear tally and boom are feeling blue, I can't say anything to makes things better but sending hugs and Flowers x

Hi to all, will have a proper catch up tomorrow Smile

CatsCantFlyFast · 27/03/2014 03:22

Tally what time is your app? Hope everything is fine

OP posts:
Tallyra · 27/03/2014 05:13

not til 4.00. But at least dh can be there as he's on an early shift.

BlindKitty · 27/03/2014 06:47

thunder how you feeling bud?

tally hope the appointment goes ok

Finally got a midwife appointment today!! Haven't seen one since 16 weeks! Hopefully will start getting some decent care! First NCT later as well Grin

Oh and not sure if I mentioned but those of you who met my friend, her 6 week scan went well. There was an embryo with hb and egg sack! Grin

Urgh the cat gas just sneezed in my face! I swear she does it on purpose to get me up earlier!

Tallyra · 27/03/2014 07:23

really Kitty, that's crazy! You haven't seen a mw for that long! admittedly mine weren't really amazing, only a few minutes each time but at least they kept track of me!

I'm getting more and more pessimistic over here. googled some images of a breech position and it seems about right Sad
Boom, is ecv likely to be useful? Dr google says it's only about 50% successful.

jessplussomeonenew · 27/03/2014 08:12

Boom, Tally, sorry to hear you're both having a difficult time about how you'll give birth. At the stage I'm at it's all talk about choices - which must make it so much harder when months later you find actually your choices are much more constrained! Wishing you both well!

CatsCantFlyFast · 27/03/2014 08:15

Tally a chiro who does the Webster Technique?

OP posts:
Boomgoestheweasel · 27/03/2014 08:17

Well it depends tally on gestation and the actual position of the baby, and whether there are any reasons why the baby's breech eg tangled in cord, heart shaped uterus, polyps/cysts in the way etc. Definitely not always successful, and sometimes the baby goes back to previous position, but I've met quite a few mums having vbs who had ecv so it does work sometimes! I hope Tallybub is cephalic at your scan anyway, sometimes bums and heads really do feel similar which is why I convinced myself for the last 2 weeks that T1's head was really it's butt

Kitty enjoy your midwife appt! I haven't had one since 16 weeks either.. Hope your NCT is good. I'm really enjoying meeting up with the girls from mine, in fact going for lunch this afternoon with the other twin girls both of whose babies are head down and behaving chunter chunter

Feeling a teeny bit happier today. Trying to think of the positives and end result rather than focussing on 'missing out' on part of the experience. Not entirely successfully but I'm trying!

CatsCantFlyFast · 27/03/2014 09:04

Boom that reminds me, my midwife said my placenta was perfectly heart shaped, is that odd?
Moan time for me. DH has organised for his dad to come to help in the garden today. Which means MIL "of course I will have to come too" is also going to be here. From 10.30. I have not had any sleep since 2am, and would like a nap now and later but can't see that happening as he is going to be gardening. I also can not sit around with my boobs out if they are here, and don't want the 'advice' which will just piss me off, or the interfering. I know I'm tried and hormonal so not being totally reasonable but ffs. He offered to cancel them but in a really cross voice like I was being totally unreasonable. Grrr

OP posts:
Tallyra · 27/03/2014 09:22

Can you not use mil as a babysitter and have a nap?

Tallyra · 27/03/2014 09:23

Oh sorry, just re-read. Will it be noisy gardening then?

CatsCantFlyFast · 27/03/2014 09:39

Tally its more that it feels like this is our time to establish breastfeeding etc and it should be me and DH doing that, I won't be able to sleep if she is with MIL (plus she is feeding almost on the hour anyway). He just said that I didn't even need to come downstairs, which would mean me stuck in the bedroom in my own house alone all day so I can breastfeed. Sounds great, not. I'm pissed off he doesn't understand he should be helping me and not leaving me alone, stressing me out and expecting me to stay in the bedroom without his help all day

OP posts:
Foodylicious · 27/03/2014 09:47

merk you are not being unreasonable at all!
I would feel the same if my OH arranged for anyone to come round so soon, would your DH re arrange for next week??
If you can just tell him you have thought about it and need him to cancel.
Thanks

Boomgoestheweasel · 27/03/2014 10:20

Oh merk what a pain. Why do relatives have to stomp in when it should be obvious you need time to yourselves?! Perhaps you could get her to go to the supermarket or something to get her out of the house.. Or if you're going to be stuck with her could she cook a massive lasagne or something so she's out of your way in the kitchen and doing something useful? I've just had this conversation with Mr Boom about not wanting his mother turning up at all hours she's clearly going to anyway

Boomgoestheweasel · 27/03/2014 10:21

Oh kitty meant to say my proofs are finally ready for the nekked photos! I'll show you mine if you show me yours....need an opinion anyway on which ones I think I want, I've chosen two but want to see what a fellow naked preggo model thinks Grin Blush

CatsCantFlyFast · 27/03/2014 10:58

They're downstairs drinking tea and just even being able to hear them is making me mad. I'm a grumpy sod today Grin
Still crossing fingers for you Tally
Am v jealous of nekkid photos

OP posts:
jessplussomeonenew · 27/03/2014 11:27

Not surprised you're feeling grumpy, Merk - would headphones and music/radio/audio book help distract and insulate you?

Thunderpantsarego · 27/03/2014 11:29

Morning all,

Just been reading back and trying to catch up with everything.

tally sorry to hear of this latest development- bit of a contrast to last time's news that she's head down. I hope they are proved wrong at the scan today.

boom of course you must come on here and have a vent about frustrations and fears for your birth plans. Bloomin upside down twin eh? It did make me smile when you said you suppose twin babies are special enough- understatement?!

kitty no mw appt since 16 weeks?? Wtf? I thought you'd stopped seeing a consultant too? Have you not seen anyone?

merk I would be pissed off too. With DH and ILs. I would expect a bit more sensitivity about coming into your space during this time bloody obvious to me
Can you ask him to postpone or make it a 2 hour visit instead of all day and then put mil to task on doing useful stuff? I've already got a list of things that people could do/help with if anyone asks!

All is well in thunderworld. We came home last night and have had a few hours sleep albeit in shifts with DH. She is amazing- it's a real baby guys!!

Boomgoestheweasel · 27/03/2014 11:31

Merk I know that teeth-on-edge irritation that unwanted guests can bring! Hope they leave and give you some space sooner rather than later. I think if it were me I'd get the hint if the new mother and baby didn't make an appearance!

You can also see nekked pics if you like, I'm not shy Grin although possibly I should be might distract you from the inlaws!

Thunderpantsarego · 27/03/2014 11:43

I want to see naked berries!! Me me me toooooo

Boomgoestheweasel · 27/03/2014 11:46

Thunder shouldn't you be off staring beatifically at your newborn? Hope all is going well Grin

I'll friend you on FB and send you all a message with a link to the gallery in it. No comments on the freakish inverted nipples allowed!

eek suddenly gone all bashful

Thunderpantsarego · 27/03/2014 11:54

I am staring and finding that her face makes me laugh but you know- I've had a lot of hours awake staring recently and I need to keep up with berry news (naked and otherwise)

CatsCantFlyFast · 27/03/2014 12:31

RAGE I can hear her in the garden suggesting formula so she sleeps longer and so we can 'make her sleep in her own bed'

OP posts:
CatsCantFlyFast · 27/03/2014 12:34

Ha ha its just started raining on them
