Hi All, just catching up with the thread, sorry I haven't been around for a while, I've been in and out of hospital a lot over the past week. Thanks very much for all the support about the awful pharmacy issue, we've now had a written apology, an assurance that the staff member was put on disciplinary action and a big stack of vouchers from them. I'm still pretty unhappy about it, but think I've just got to let it go now.
Saggy really great to hear from you and Lucy, and hope you've managed to get home today, it's brilliant news that you're both being allowed out!
Please keep us updated, thinking of you both xxx
alb congratulations on a great scan and welcome to the team blue corner!
fod glad to hear your sweep is sorted now, hope you're ok.
squiz I nearly wet myself laughing at the "sophie's world up the vag" comment
. People always love to stick an oar in, I've become so prickly these days that people (stupid till assistants excepted
) have mostly stopped commenting.
I now archly respond to all silly comments with a raised eyebrow and an "Oh? I didn't realise you were an obstetric consultant". People probably think I've turned into the world's biggest bitch!
flower I don't have any experience with cyclogest I'm afraid but I've had bleeds all throughout this pregnancy and so far so good - I'm now 29 + 4. Hang in there, hope you get positive answers tomorrow x.
littlemisspear hope you're feeling ok x.
mrsgiraffe are you ok today? x
pgchimp I second the advice about the whooping cough in the arm you don't use, I don't normally react to vaccinations but my arm was really sore! Luckilly I had it in my right arm as I sleep on my left side.
Sorry if I've missed anyone, I've been at the hospital all day again today due to another unexplained bleed. Not a big one this time thankfully, and the blood didn't come from baby, cord or placenta thank goodness.
We've now had five periods of reduced movement, several bleeds and three lots of labour contractions (which were only just stopped in time) in the last three weeks alone.
Our consultant isn't happy about it. I'm being monitored very closely now and have to spend two days per week every week at the hopsital for full scans, blood tests, baby's heart monitoring etc. I'm quite glad really even though it's exhausting and a bit of a trek to the hospital, it was really worrying me and it's reassuring that the consultant is keeping a very close eye on things. I have a meeting with him and the anaesthetist on Monday to talk about whether doing my ELCS early would be a good idea. They had wanted to try to get me to 38/39 weeks, but consultant now thinks it might be safer to deliver earlier.
On the plus side, our little man seems to be thriving, and his growth, heart, vitals etc are all apparently textbook
.
