I have 39 days left (AND COUNTING) until my planned cs on 11th april

I am fat, fed up, knackered, aching, heartburn-ridden and absolutely DESPERATE for the baby to be out. this will be dc3 and deffo my LAST

anyone else got a similar amount of time left and want a thread where we can share the joys of the final stretch of pregnancy

currently todays bugbear is my needing a wee constantly, which will no doubt keep me up all night again

Feeling much more positive this morning. Read an 8 page cs thread on the Childbirth page and ordered the bits & pieces people recommended, like peppermint capsules & windeze for painful trapped wind, a large sports bottle for drinking without sitting up and a long cardigan instead of a dressing gown.

My dd slept til 6.50 which is a huge improvement on 5am and it's sunny here (but cold, can't have everything!).

I feel for you Boomerang. I have a crap relationship with my dad but when dd was born I couldn't get rid of him. Just have to set your own rules!

Helen well done for keeping your cool. I get flustered when people are putting their oar in or staring.

40 weeks today and nothing!!! The only thing going for me are the sharp pins i feel down there. BH every hundred years, weird because throughout this whole pregnancy i have had BH quite often, now it's nothing. I really don't want to be induced.

Morning all, hello boomerangirl. Totally there with you and the not wanting to be pregnant any more. i've been having fairly consistent bh's since about 4 yesterday afternoon but they haven't developed into anything yet not sure how much more of bouncing on my ball i can take. Going to scrub the kitchen floor in a bit to see if that gets things wiggling on.

Ds was awake at 6 this morning, I am not impressed! Had a busy morning though, dentist check up for him and doc to check baby's heartbeat! Dentist was lovely but I could not understand a word he was saying! Doc was a bit useless and kept saying there's not much he can check but heartbeat was fine . Looking forward to scan on Wednesday, told dh to work, don't want him wasting holidays!

I was wondering about the long cardi too - I might take one instead of my super bulky fluffy robe.

Oh my goodness.

Just rocked up at the docs for my MW check. Went to do my urine sample & managed to wee all over the toilet floor & my self while trying to aim for the tiny pot.

I smell of weeeeeee!!!

Last . Happy days? Unfortunately no i won't be getting a sweep because they don't give them in Norway. I have decided that i will go for 10 days and if the baby is not here then they can induce. I have a feeling my midwife wants me induced a few days after my due date and for some reason i am not feeling comfy with it. Thank God i get to decide when thry induce as long as the baby is still ok being in there.

Lol last I hate those stupid pots!

Blessed fwiw I don't think a sweep is worth it. I had one with ds and it did nothing but made me feel invaded. I know people swear by them but they usually only give them after due date so chances are you might go into Labour anyway, this time. If I go over, I'm gonna put my feet up as much as possible and enjoy!

I think I'll give a sweep a go at 40 weeks, but I'm also planning to try acupuncture - allegedly it has really good results. Anyone got any experiences?

I really don't want to go over with this little chunker who is measuring off the scale as it is... I'll be torn in two. MW kept saying 'oooh this one feels like a very solid little baby!' What does SOLID mean???!

I have a huge bulky dressing gown that I never wear at home. It'll be too hot on the hospital and take up too much room in my bag. And they get you to walk to theatre in an open backed gown so need something. And I thought I'd wear the cardigan again after.

Toddler had a massive melt down in the bank today and threw a load of paying-in slips in the air. It was awful bit also quite funny!

Good luck Blessed. They can't make you induce early can they? I used to live in Oslo and always found my heducal care to be really good.

Last, :) I've done that. Wee all over my leggings and boots. Not a good look!! I'm literally going to the loo 4 times an hour now. It's ok of I'm sitting hut every time I stand I feel desperate for a wee! Tmi!

Last, my massage lady told me reflexology works really well for some ladies facing an induction. The spot that reflects your uterus is on the inside of your ankle, just between the sticky out bone and the heel.

My giant baby is wiggling lots today and it's not very comfy! I think he's trying to turn but can't.

just letting you know baby James arrived this morning at 9.20am. I convinced myself it was a tummy bug so when the pains started at midnight 4 mins apart I went into hospital at 4.00am was at 6cm totally shocked

Ah I see what ya mean about the cardigan. My dressing gown is a light knee length one so should be alright. I thought it might be something to do with buttons lol.

I just found more newborn clothes that need to be washed from ds. Put them on a 60 wash but just realised there are blues and whites in there... It's all gonna be blue now isn't it?

I know what ya mean about weeing... I might just take my pillow and duvet to toilet tonight!

I watched obem first time round but I'll give it a miss this time! I think I subconsciously believed that Labour would only be 5 mins, one push and baby's out and there would be instant elation and mws would all come visit me afterwards and it would just be beautiful!

Congratulations vikki! That's a bit scary given we had the same due date.. but I'm fully expecting this one to go over like her brother. Great name too..though I'm probably biased

I did watch one born but it did feel a bit weird thinking I'll be doing that very soon. Done far too much walking today and in lots of pain. Ah well, not much longer!

Can't sleep. Feel like I've been awake pretty much since 2am. Just so uncomfortable and had a horrible dream I couldn't get out of my mind. Stupid brain.

Last i plan on getting out an enjoying the sun today whilst meeting up with a friend and her new baby. Looking forward to leaving the house. What about you?
