Ok so call me Boring if you like but i love the color white Confused i think its easy to wash no worrying about colors running or decals fading or coming off etc etc BUT i was wondering if there is any one else out there like me who thinks the same it seems if i dress my my child in all white babygro's for the first 12 months or until walking age then i might seem a tad weird lol also i think babies should'nt be dressed in bright colours and weird outfits anyway its kinda like turning them into an accessory when i see babies in bright clothes and those annoying cloth shoes (which are so pointless) i just think well why dont you just put a couple of handles on your baby and tote them around like a handbag may aswell lol am i the only one who thinks this way babies just look so cute and scrummy by themselves they dont need anything else to make them cute IMO......discuss Brew Cake Thanks

There's a saying on my ward...'be nice to nurses, they may just save your life'. I know and respect many Doctors but would never be naive enough to talk about nurses or other medical staff in the way you just have. I did 3 years and earned my nursing degree. How dare you. One day your attitude and narrow mindedness will bite you on the arse.

betman · 28/02/2014 20:18

You're taking the piss, you have to be. No one in their right mind would choose the professional present at their birth purely based on title and not on expertise. A GP won't have the knowledge and skills a midwife would. How much training in obstetrics do you think a gp would have?

mumbaisapphirebluespruce · 28/02/2014 20:28

Each to their own, I know in the US and Canada where I am based that you can opt for your GP to deliver and it is a popular choice here. BUT it's usually only chosen by people who have a very good relationship with their GP and have know them for decades, AND more importantly the GP themselves actually offers that service. Not all do. The GPs that offer it tend to specialize in that area. I know many women who chose that route, and that is their choice. I chose midwives. I would never criticize or belittle other medical professionals. It's down right disrespectful and rude. These people study hard and do valuable jobs. ALL OF THEM.

squizita · 28/02/2014 20:34

I doubt your GP would be insured. I also doubt you know what an ob/gyn consultant is hence you used GP in your made-up post - but you will google it and tell us of course you do in a moment. Plus a reason you think sounds clever but everyone else thinks is desperately odd about why a clued up adult woman who likes expertise chooses a general practitioner over a consultant for her dr led birth.

thereisnoeleventeen · 28/02/2014 20:38

This is a thread about white baby clothes OP. Now you are bad mouthing nurses? How odd, I suggest you, well...'toodle loo' back to lar lar land.

Anyone know the link to the pram thread. This thread is amazing and I could do with another chuckle!

MrsGiraffe12 · 28/02/2014 21:17

Same here suzybean

SuzyBean · 28/02/2014 21:23

Thanks Hazle!

allisgood1 · 28/02/2014 21:24

Holy run on sentences OP...jeezus!!!

Cariad007 · 28/02/2014 21:28

Apparently the paleo diet also robs you of the ability to punctuate sentences...

Ineedanewone · 28/02/2014 21:30

OP I absolutely agree with you, all of my dc are dressed from top to toe in white, and they love it. I have had a few raised eyebrows especially when they went to school and especially as teenagers but it is just soo practical. After all they are little angels. I sometimes think my ds ( 15) would prefer to wear Superdry but hey, My choice as I do the laundry.

Delusional rather, sorry that was my auto correct

Dukketeater · 28/02/2014 21:47

You might need shoes before a yeae. Mine walked at 9 months

ShiftyEyes · 28/02/2014 21:55

Ok mn didn't like my last post (I mentioned the word troll, apologies didn't realise this was against guidelines) so I shall rephrase.
After reading the last few posts I'm unsure if you are genuine. I agree with squizita if this is genuine you sound seriously delusional I think you need to seek help either way. Especially if you are pregnant.

Bumbershoot · 28/02/2014 22:13

OP this was initially funny but I'm actually quite worried about your impending DC. I think you need to get some help.

IF OP is actually pregnant and not telling stories, and she is like this in RL, hopefully her MW will notice and refer her to a mental health MW.

YarnyStasher · 01/03/2014 07:27

Nope. She isn't seeing a MW. Only a GP. MW aren't even real medical staff.

Seff · 01/03/2014 08:25

Wow, I'd forgot about this thread and come back and it's all gone a little crazy. I'm not quite sure what's going on here Confused

hubbahubster · 01/03/2014 08:38

I'm not convinced OP is real. And actually she didn't say SE was pregnant in her first post either, I haven't trawled through all the madness to see if she said she was elsewhere. Since she was already planning organic meals for her baby while she was TTC, it wouldn't surprise me I she wasn't expecting yet.

Still, she's good value.
