how is it going Banana?

LJBanana · 17/03/2014 15:22

Really slowly. Been having contractions since 3.10pm- yesterday!! DP took the day off and we arranged childcare today- it's amounted to NOTHING. I'm getting fed up!!!

ZingSweetCoconut · 17/03/2014 17:50

can you get a sweep tomorrow?

LJBanana · 17/03/2014 20:10

I'm due to see the mw on wed so will get one then if nothing developes. It's totally different from the other 2, they just started thick and fast straight away, non of this un certainty. Hopefully I will be awoken in the night with full on one's after all this warm up!

ZingSweetCoconut · 17/03/2014 20:34

I'm sick of hearing "each pg is different" but it's true.

I was induced with DS1- waters broke but no contractions.
he was a forceps delivery

DS2 - Nothing at all. induced at term plus 11, but still nothing till term +13. then they broke the waters, then drip, then he came, exactly 42 weeks!

DS3 - I think I said it before, all started after sweep, naturally. waters broke with first push

DS4 - ELSC due to footling breech

DS5 - Sweep to birth 12 hours (9 days late

DD - waters broke to birth 12 hours.

I've no idea what to expect this time, so I'm expecting nothing!Grin

hopefully it will kick off. best thing you can do while waiting is eat, sleep and rest/relax as much as you can. not long now.Smile

Cacraig2 · 17/03/2014 20:46

Congratulations spooky that's lovely news Flowers Wine
Enjoy your lovely new dd and addition to the family xx

LJBanana · 17/03/2014 21:26

I know I wasn't feeling bothered about being/going over until all the start stopping started and stopped. Now it's planted the seed in my head!
I've got some accupuncture booked for tomorrow and then mw hit date wed, so it may( or may not) encourage things!!!

ZingSweetCoconut · 18/03/2014 07:48

how are you feeling today banana?

LJBanana · 18/03/2014 10:06

Morning,
How are you?
I'm feeling a bit periody so trying not to focus on it too much. Kiddies are at school and nursery today so just going to get the house straight before I go into spontaneous labour-as that's what needs to happen now!!!!

Cacraig2 · 18/03/2014 11:34

Oh good luck banana that sounds positive x

LJBanana · 18/03/2014 12:01

I haven't been able to find a part of the Moses basket for weeks. I've been semi convinced that this is the reason I've gone over-(cause all wasn't ready). Anyway I've found it and put it all together, I just caught myself looking at this Moses basket in complete puzzlement and confusion wondering why my waters hadn't immediately broken once is put it together!!

Somebody needs to get a grip!!!

ZingSweetCoconut · 18/03/2014 15:45

poor you, sorry magic handle didn't work!

I'm good, only 23 weeks today so a loooooong time before I start thinking about sweeps and stuff!Wink

Cacraig2 · 19/03/2014 04:45

How is it going banana ? Any spontaneous waters breaking yet?

I am up all night feeding - had completely forgotten what is was like lol xx

mrsmugoo · 19/03/2014 05:08

Up feeding here too! But wouldn't swap this perfect squishy bundle for being 9 months pregnant for all the tea in china!

LJBanana · 19/03/2014 09:06

Morning all and all your babies!

Nothing as yet, really sting Braxton hicks through the night. I still feel periody and keep having sharp back pains. Midwife this afternoon for a sweep and is imagine to book induction. I'm not losing hope though, I think it will happen!!

ZingSweetCoconut · 19/03/2014 09:37

imagine your cervix is a beautiful flower opening up its petals!

Grin Grin Grin Grin

if that doesn't help, at least it might make you piss yourself laughing!

LJBanana · 19/03/2014 10:36

I have heard this wonderful description before, I have a vivid imagination, however my face has the same puzzled expression as it did after yesterday's Moses basket moment and probably what it will look like after going to second base with the mw later!!

ZingSweetCoconut · 19/03/2014 10:50

what time is app?

ask if your cervix is "ripe" (I know, glamorous expression! Grin ) and if it is ask her to go give it a real good tugging.

fx

or should I say legs wide open?Grin

LJBanana · 19/03/2014 16:56

Had the sweep. The mw said I'm 3 cm and touched the babies head which made me twitch! She said she'd expect it to happen within 24 hours so we shall see..... Booked in for another on Friday if it doesn't and then induction next Tuesday, so fingers not legs crossed!!
