Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LJBanana · 12/03/2014 20:10

To be fair i'd have gladly rammed it up there!! My sister was saying to google it and DIY, I'm not sure I can reach!!!

Spookey80 · 12/03/2014 20:27

DIY sweep! Right I'm off to google.
Zing my lo says 'I'm the boss here, I'll come when I'm ready" thanks for trying though :((

ZingSweetMango · 12/03/2014 20:39

I might have to impersonate OliviaMumsnet and say a very loud AHEM to that!

cheeky baby!Wink

DitaVonCreamTeas · 12/03/2014 21:20

40 weeks today, and still no sign of anything being imminent. The head is engaged so when he hiccups it makes my bowels vibrate. I would love to wake up in the night with an amniotic Niagara in the bed. Even my once enormous maternity leggings are getting tight. I like this thread for a damn good moan.

LJBanana · 12/03/2014 21:25

spooky I think she was only half joking!
Vibrating bowels sounds impressive and familiar, plus I feel your nothing fits pain. I am wearing my DP's pj bottoms-in the day time! I am a vision!

ZingSweetMango · 12/03/2014 21:27

so you are Bananas in pyjamas?
Are you also coming down the stairs?

Grin

(sorry, I couldn't help myself)

LJBanana · 12/03/2014 21:37

Yep coming down the stairs sideways in men's pants. I look hot!

Cacraig2 · 13/03/2014 08:35

You lot cheer me up having a giggle at self sweeps and pj's ahhhhhh how far we have come! Grin

Yippee 41 weeks it's hospital appointment and sweep day I will be devastated if this doesn't work but at least surely maximum 1 week to go. It is getting its final eviction notice today before being forcefully evicted!

Another joy night of insomnia, not due to any labour signs or baby cries Sad so walked dog along beach at 6am in last ditch attempt go get things moving Confused

Sending everyone positive labour vibes wish me luck! Wine

LJBanana · 13/03/2014 08:54

Sending you lots of luck. Xx

Spookey80 · 13/03/2014 10:03

Good luck cacraig. Me too, couldn't sleep, but also not because of any labour pains, just because I couldn't stop my brain from thinking.
I also have my second sweep today, so see what happens there.
Positive labour vibes to all.

ZingSweetMango · 13/03/2014 12:22

fx crossed for chimney sweeps to work!

come on babies, shake a leg!Grin

Cacraig2 · 13/03/2014 13:43

Well had my sweep and a shag bouncing on gym ball and dreaming about a curry and my waters breaking later! Smile

Given Wednesday (41+6) for my induction and to go in for possible pessary day before. Couldn't get an early date must be a busy week for overdue babies!! Please let me go before then.

ZingSweetMango · 13/03/2014 18:56

you had a successful sweep (and recommended shag) - so you have a good chance of going into labour in the next 48 hours.

if no contractions I'd ask for another done on Friday, then on Monday.

Cacraig2 · 13/03/2014 19:21

Hi zing I wasn't given the impression from the mw that another sweep was on offer! Been crampy contractions over the day which have now settled a wee bit but hopefully will start up again over night fingers crossed. Might have to jump on dp again later Wink but first things first where's my curry carry out Grin

Spookey80 · 13/03/2014 19:52

Good luck cacraig, still time for you to avoid induction. I had my second sweep today, unfortunately dh not around to dtd until later so we will see what happens. Mw I saw today is on duty Saturday so says I can have another sweep then if I want/ need to. But fingers crossed something will happen before then ., for both of us ay!? (Can you tell I'm trying to sound positive?).

ZingSweetMango · 13/03/2014 20:00

you must ask and pester them.
It's in everyone's interest to avoid you being induced if possible, and if it takes 3 or 4 or more sweeps requested by you they should not deny you that!

throw in a few tears if needed. Wink

ZingSweetMango · 13/03/2014 20:09

crampy contractions are a good sign though.

sounds like the creature is stirring!Grin

have you got a contraction timer app?
I downloaded one, it's dead easy to use and is very useful.

fiverabbits · 13/03/2014 20:17

Someone up thread said my 40 weeks + 19 was a typo but I am afraid
it wasn't. In 1979 the hospital didn't do anything about being late until 21 days. At 40 weeks + 17 days I had a x-ray to confirm that the baby was breech and then was told to come back next week ! I went into labour next day it lasted 16 hours.

With the next baby, at 40 weeks + 10 days a man fell through our garage roof whilst I was watching him, I went into labour 2 hours later so don't know if it was the shock or was going to happen then anyway.

ZingSweetMango · 13/03/2014 21:11

rabbits

yes, 3 weeks over used to be the thing in Hungary too in those days.

ZingSweetMango · 13/03/2014 21:12

and an x-ray!Shock

can you imagine that now?!

ChaffinchOfDoom · 13/03/2014 21:45

37+2 here, heartburning myself into an inferno, ribs splaying and fed. up.
agreeing with zing go sweep crazy if you can to try and avoid being induced, sex curries and pineapple. Rock 'n' roll.
section booked but it's not for aaaaaaaggessss Sad

Vikkijayne2507 · 13/03/2014 22:57

my word 21 days overdue is crazy. im glad in Portugal they only let you go a week over so glad I only have 5 wks max. sending labour vibes to all of you needing them

Cacraig2 · 14/03/2014 08:29

Ahhhh still pregnant Angry I should have known sweep wouldn't work. No further crampy contractions or 'labour signs' since yesterday tea time. Now just sore, huge and more miserable from sweeps, dtd and curries Sad

Hit an all time low [sad Sad Sad

Spookey80 · 14/03/2014 10:56

Oh cacraig hugs to you. I'm still here with you. Funny yesterday was my all time low. I too just felt incredibly sad. Still do really, but gonna try and pick myself up today.
Dc2 at preschool all day today so day to myself and am just taking a break from a mammoth clean of the house as yesterday I didn't want to do anything and house was a tip. Mum coming to take me for lunch later, so at least I'm gonna get some distraction.
Just think this time next week we will both have our babies,., come what may,.,. And all being well of course.

Cacraig2 · 14/03/2014 12:00

Returning your hugs spooky Thanks
What date are you booked in for induction?
Phoned mw today and begged for a further sweep before my induction on Wednesday but she said no they want minimal intervention to reduce risk of infection Confused also asked if she could let me know if any cancellations so I could be induced earlier but she said that is booked with the ward so all in all extremely unhelpful. Might phone ward tomorrow myself to see if any earlier slots become available.
Hope you enjoy your lunch out today miss my mum she lives too far away and waiting to visit when baby appears (eventually!) x
