Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hi all

I rang the out of hours mW who said from the amount and how far along I am she was not too worried. 12 weeks, just pink cm when I passed a poo. Said to see a dr anyway.
Went to St Marys A+E. Doc didnt think it worth a scan and urine was as expected. Bit of a waste of time - I'm to return if it gets worse.

Checked in between and it stopped. Checked just now, it was mostly clear with a tiny bit of pink/brown. Just waiting now. Hope it tails off not gets worse.

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 01/03/2014 11:00

Hamster have you had a referral I the EPAU? if not speak to your dr, there really isn't any need to pay for a private scan, unless you really want to, it's what the EPAU are there for reassurance and early scans for thoes who have miscarried and/or are worried about their current pregnancies.

fod27 · 01/03/2014 11:05

hamster don't worry about the showing element - we all carry differently, I was showing by 8 weeks but it was my 6th pregnancy and as I was soooo big with the others I went full term with I go very big early on, apparently our bodies have memories and just do it automatically whereas others don't show until they are 6 months, every pregnancy is different as are the symptoms with each - if it's messing with you'd head this much tho I think you should have a scan to at least confirm or deny your fears - at least your not in limbo

Davmallem2013 · 01/03/2014 11:28

Thanks for the good luck for Monday ladies, I am trying my best londonjen I have banned myself for the weekend from reading anymore negative threads on mmc etc as it's making me worse, having bad dreams of it all.

That's very cool saggy my husband would be buying them all day long! I may just show him when I know it is all safe Grin

squizita · 01/03/2014 11:33

Hamster as others have said, try asking you gp for a scan. Explain the symptoms feel like your last mc.
I lost some symptoms at 8 weeks then they came back. Had a scan 10 WK and all was well so fx similar for you!

I can not stop knicker chevking keep looking down my trousers like a little boy! I am at home btw. So far, no gushing blood and only twingey pain which I get anyway. Keep everything x! :)

ruth1104 · 01/03/2014 11:37

Having a freak out ladies. I'm 7+4 and I just fell off a ladder. I'm not hurt but I was panicky before and now I'm just plain terrified. I've had my booking in already, do I phone my mw? I know in my head that it's pretty well protected by my pelvis now, but to make things worse I'm staying with family who I don't want to tell yet and OH isn't here... Tell me what to do!

fod27 · 01/03/2014 11:40

Calm down, then phone NHS direct see what they recommend then when OH turns up make a excuse and pop over to A & E xxxx

squizita · 01/03/2014 11:41

Call the midwife, see what she suggests. NHS direct can panic you (I have found).

Alb1 · 01/03/2014 11:53

Ruth I'd call the midwife to be sure, but I think your right it shud be very well protected in there!

My back is killing today n stomach all sore n achey (not in a crampy way tho) recon it cud jus be normal stretching pains? 14 weeks today n not showing so feels odd that my back is suddenly so achey, but I read that the baby is now the size of a lemon so it makes sense that I'd be feeling something somewhere...

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 01/03/2014 12:03

Call the midwife, she will tell you what you already know, however it will make you feel 100% better!!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 01/03/2014 12:06

Dav I can supply details of where I got it from... Wink

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 01/03/2014 12:11

Ruth lovey, stop panicking. I know, much easier said than done

Baby is the size of a blueberry right now and is snuggled deep down inside your pelvis. They are cushioned by bladder and bowels. They are going to be FINE.
Give the midwife a ring as others have said and she will put your mind at rest.
Did you fall far, equally important is are YOU ok?

OP posts:
SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 01/03/2014 12:14

Alb I had a lot of random back ache in those weeks. I spent a lot of time panicking that I had a kidney infection. I didn't. Smile

OP posts:
CorporeSarnie · 01/03/2014 12:16

ruth please try not to worry. I remember falling off my bike at a similar stage in my first pregnancy, everything was fine except for dented pride. As saggy said, baby is thoroughly protected and you're undoubtedly more sore than your baby.

fod27 · 01/03/2014 12:16

Alb I had That too at 14 weeks or so, it's your ligaments moving that's all xx

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 01/03/2014 12:29

By the way, if anyone wonders why I cluster post, its because I'm on my phone and my brain is too small to remember everybody so I have to post and then go back and see who else I wanted to reply to!Blush

Yes will be interested saggy if all goes well! ACDC is his favourite, I have no escape Smile.

Good luck squizita hoping all stays well for you.

ruth I suggest the same of go to A&E if you get sharp pains or bleeding as best to be safe if not have a chat with your out of hours doc if you can just to rest your mind. I wouldn't bother with NHS direct as they just tick boxes on a screen & it tells them what to do, causing panic is their normal response Grin

hamster I know the feeling I have booked private scan Monday eve as I haven't even got a MW yet as my GP failed to tell me their process had changed so have had to refer myself to my NHS trust to try & get MW! I have no bleeds so can't get a reassurance scan from my EPAU, but no surprise as I couldn't get my early scan sorted by them to rule out another ectopic as they wouldn't book in advance & I was struggling as I work shifts. I have had a loss of symptoms so am biting the bullet and paying for some reassurance, I should be 9+3 by then if dated correct.

ruth1104 · 01/03/2014 12:46

Thanks folks, tried to phone mw but no reply, and the epu lady wasn't very interested unless I'm bleeding. Thanks for reassuring me!! I'm ok, feeling doubly achy but definitely nothing internal. I'll try the mw again later but I'm so glad you're all here!!

Penguinita · 01/03/2014 17:06

Oh dear, sorry for all the scares that people are having today. These little beans don't half give us a lot to worry about. Really hope all works out for you ruth and squiz and hamster, thankfully no red bleeding anywhere so that is a good sign. Sending posifrickingtivity your ways.

I have my finger hovering over the "order" button on a pram but I keep chickening out. It feels like tempting fate! This baby is going to have nothing except knitted cardigans from the nannas and freebies from bounty packs if I can't pluck up the courage to buy anything soon. What if I buy things and then it all goes wrong? Did anyone else feel like this in the third trimester or am I batshit crazy? Confused

squizita · 01/03/2014 17:11

Mine was red. As of right now (and will be checking constantly for the next day or so) however, the word is "was" as wipes have been clear or white with no pain and the usual sickness and boob soreness. Fx it's not temporary but permanent.

squizita · 01/03/2014 17:12

...but mine also wasn't a full bleed, more stripy mucus. Had it once before. Was ok that time (this pg 5+ weeks, not implantation as I had that just before bfp).

BlueSkyandRain · 01/03/2014 18:02

ruth I don't know if it helps but after the sb when talking about what could've gone wrong, I was told that the kind of impact that could have caused it was something like a car crash. So if you're 'just' shaken up (I'm not meaning to minimise it, but ykwim) then I think the thinking is that it's all v cushioned & should be fine.

hamster I totally know what you mean, I started a thread on pg symptoms in chat which has made me feel a bit better - I've been so ill in previous successful pgs - to the extent of constant, awful ms ranging to hg. This time I have nothing, and the only time that happened before I had a mc. I have made a pain of myself asking everyone I possibly can for a reassurance scan - initially fobbed off as 'there's nothing wrong' but I've now got agreement for one at 8-9 wks. Maybe try your gp? Wikipedia says that only 1% of mcs are mmcs so I'm hanging on to that stat at the moment!

fod27 · 01/03/2014 19:12

Been having a leaking sensation all day - for those of you who already have DC it feels like post bath vaginal pooling - could it be my wsters? Or is it just preassure from LO?

GuffSmuggler · 01/03/2014 19:50

Hi fod my waters leaked very slowly for several hours last time, couldn't work out if it definitely was my waters or not but in hindsight it clearly was! Labour started about 12 hours later. You've had so many signs, it must be happening soon!!

I have horrendous piles now to add to my heavily pregnant misery.

Pixielady83 · 01/03/2014 20:01

fod sounds good! hope something happens for one of us 4 soon. Although I will be super Envy

On the eve of my due date I am feeling completely miserable, like it is never going to happen, and increasingly stressed about the consultant's proposal to break waters to induce labour Sad on top of that I'm utterly paranoid about losing baby at this late stage. I think I need a good slapping.

Sorry to those of you having worries today as well, I hope things are settling for everyone.
