Disappointed at the lack of valentines symbol in the smileys!
Hope everyone is having a nice evening. we were going to go out for a meal but emotions, tiredness and an uncomfy tight tummy have won and we have had a yummy take away instead.
Anyone do anything special?

BlindKitty · 15/02/2014 06:00

I cooked Dh and I a meal. Made rack of lamb with a garlic and herb crust. Even cooked it medium grrr. Can't wait for rare meat!!!

Well done Kitty... We had pizza on the sofa Shock lucky we didn't attempt to go out as I am in severe pain (groin) in most positions and especially if I move.
Ps holding the gold medal for 'the most moaning during pregnancy' is now getting tedious. Happy if somebody else wants to take the crown but appreciate my levels of moaning may be hard to beat WinkGrin

PuppyMummy · 15/02/2014 06:54

kitty lamb sounds yum!
we never really do anything for valentines, I did get roses and a card tho!

25 weeks today! 15 weeks to go (ish) arrgghh! gettin scary!

off away on tues for half term break, doin some European city hopping! last official jolly until baby comes! Smile

Boomgoestheweasel · 15/02/2014 08:45

win good luck with the scan today xx

kitty mm rack of lamb! I made Jamaican jerk pork which was then too spicy for me to eat. Poor planning...

puppy enjoy the babymoon!

merk poor you. I'd love to join in the moaning but not having it bad all things considered. Although I'm struggling to find bras that don't rub my underboob scars so feeling very sore at the moment Sad

Right, off for my first nct class. Actually feeling a bit nervous, hoping the other couples are up to berry standards of loveliness..

PoppySeedBun · 15/02/2014 08:50

sid congratulations! Great numbers Smile
wino fx for your scan today - what time is it?

Off to first NCT this morning. Hoping DH manages to behave well - he's severely sceptical of fluffy nonsense, so hoping that the teacher is fairly down-to-earth Confused

PILs staying with us this weekend. The advance of the pink has already started. She brought a load of lovely clothes, but also pink towels from sister-in-law, and a very frilly cardigan and dress set in baby pink. Hoping. We can get away with using it only on very select occasions...

Adding myself back to the roster (BTW, where is kat? Hope everything is going well)

boom is it possible we'll end up in the same NCT class??
If not, at least we can compare notes after Grin

BlindKitty · 15/02/2014 09:20

boom I loved spicy food before I was preggers but I'm a wuss now! Enjoy your nct! Hopefully they won't be a load of instadiffers! When I went to yoga on thurs one of the girls told me how she got preg first go....how lovely for her!?!?

poppy very jealous of all this nct action! I even tried to get a programme in advance so I could swot up but they said no haha

merk afraid I still can't take away your crown either but my back is (literally) becoming a right pain in the arse! Think all that bath stuff everyone bought me a Christmas will actually come in useful! shame I took loads back and bought stuff for the baby instead

wino is this your first scan? Or did you have one a few weeks ago? My brain is more like porridge these days!

Morning all!
It's minging rainy and windy here one minute and bright sunshine the next, weird! Might venture out in my wellies later to have a look at the floods.

No exciting V day here, we had a lovely M&S meal but had to choose the chicken as can't eat another well done steak!

I was good and didn't have any fizz, still too scared of booze, pink meat, exercise, runny eggs, DTD, baths etc lol

Oh merk I am so sorry you are suffering, so unfair Flowers

puppy a city break sounds lovely, have to wait till May for our holiday, away with the in-laws Shock

winohhh · 15/02/2014 11:21

Bad news I'm afraid. Scan showed the heart beat had stopped shortly after the 6 week scan. Need to decide between pills, d and c, or waiting. We probably won't wait since my body hasn't done a good job of getting rid of stuff up to now. :(

Thanks for all your support. Xx

Foodylicious · 15/02/2014 11:25

I can empathise there bunny
I will admit I have not eaten anything off the 'bad foods' list, have only had 2 lukewarm baths (checked temperature first too!), Did no exercise for months (have now started yoga and been for swim once), have only DTD once successfully since conception and can remember each occasion I have had a little booze (all 4 of them).

Sooo my ideal meal would now consist of 2 starters - pate & asparagus and poached egg with hollandaise sauce, medium rare steak and cheese board to finish Grin With a bottle of wine or JD and cokeSmile.

In other news we were able to actually see when baby was kicking for the first time last night! Grin Grin Grin

Cant stop eating, have had toast and yoghurt drinks, 2 slices of last nights pizza and about to have grapefruit then coffee cake. Help!!!

Off to a friends this evening who smokes, (she is having a few people round while she shaves her hair off to raise money for her mums wheelchair - had a stroke last year) and I mentioned to OH that I was not sure how I would be if lots of people were smoking. Next thing I know he is telling me she has said she will get people to smoke outside! to feel mortified that he mentioned it and so grateful that he did too. Really don't know if it is reasonable for her to ask people to do this or not?? I don't think I would have mentioned it myself, feel uncomfortable now Confused

BlindKitty · 15/02/2014 11:27

wino I'm so so sorry. This is terrible news. Please be kind to yourself and you know we're all here if you ever need to talk

OP posts:
Foodylicious · 15/02/2014 11:29

Oh win I am so sorry, thats F awful

This is such a shit time. Do whatever you need to to get you through this, be good to yourself. Nothing I can say to make it any better, but hugs anyway x x x

BlindKitty · 15/02/2014 11:34

foody can you gently have a word with your friend beforehand? If she's not happy to smoke outside I wouldn't go. It's bad enough when my patients have smoked in the room before I've even come round.

bunny well done steak is just murder! Although I have had a few naughty med rare steaks tbf. Although I now have runny eggs, started exercising again and started having hot baths!

OP posts:
Foodylicious · 15/02/2014 11:45

kitty my friend has said it is fine for people to smoke outside, its just me that is feeling awkward that its all about me I guess??

Oh and bunny my sister was soooo 'good' through her 1st pg, with her 2nd she had what she liked, not a lot and not to excess, but if she fancied poached eggs or steak she had it cooked how she liked.

CatsCantFlyFast · 15/02/2014 12:30

Win I'm so sorry. Look after yourselves and please use the berries for support. What shitty news xxx

BlindKitty · 15/02/2014 12:43

win so sorry to read this, what shitty shitty news. Life can be so unfair. Sending you Flowers and Brew and Cake x x x

jessplussomeonenew · 15/02/2014 13:25

So sorry Win, that's such awful news. Hope you are being well looked after both medically and at home.

Tallyra · 15/02/2014 13:57

Oh no win, that's terrible. Sending you so much love and hugs. I can tell you that having had 2 mmcs and one that was caught on scan shortly after happening, I went for d and c all 3 times. The thought of waiting or having to take stuff and see what happened was just too much for me. The procedures were very quick once arranged and everyone was lovely. I should warn you however that unless it's being done by the epu you may end up on a maternity type ward for recovery. It was still my choice though. It helped to be able to start thinking of one chapter over and another one about to start.
We are all here for you and many of us know what you are going through. Don't be afraid to pop back and talk if you need to.

Bunnygirlie · 15/02/2014 14:04

Oh win your news has made me so sad, sending you lots of love, take care of yourself x

winohhh · 15/02/2014 15:00

Thanks guys.

Thanks for sharing your experience tally. Did you have a general anesthetic? I've never had one before and it makes me nervous...
