...because yesterday I cried because we ran out of raisins.

Proper full-on sobbing. I wasn't trying to cook something with them or anything. It wasn't some kind of culinary emergency. I just noticed we had run out.

Can anyone make me feel less pathetic by sharing their own stupid crying stories?

Ta.

I cried yesterday over not being able to find the other corner of the duvet when DH and I were putting a clean cover on.
Sobbed for about 15 minutes!

BEEwitched · 03/02/2014 12:09

Oh man, I am bawling over the puppy/horse Budweiser ad from the Super Bowl last night. I won't ever stop sobbing about this...

Missingcaffeine · 03/02/2014 12:43

This is hilarious! I have been laughing out loud. I cried at a link on Facebook that was to an array of photos depicting 'love'.

Writerwannabe83 · 03/02/2014 12:46

I just burst into tears whilst driving on the M1 - I was however thinking about the baby and how really, really happy I am that he's going to be here soon!!! I think crying is allowed in that instance???

livingzuid · 03/02/2014 13:03

There's a programme on TLC called too cute. I just cried because a puppy sounded so sad when a duck ran away from it and it only wanted to play. The poor puppy, I am heartbroken at its squeaks.

dats · 03/02/2014 13:15

I am on the bottom of page 1 of this thread and rocking with laughter at my desk about Writer and the Creme Egg (would totally have cried) and LastOne asking her dad to pick up 'two otters'.

Here's mine: last week I cried at THE ARCHERS. Could I be more of a saddo, middle class old biddy? Blush

DitaVonCreamTeas · 03/02/2014 13:51

Bawled over the Maxine Peake trailer for the BBC6 Music Festival. What the actual fuck.

Also I have to be really careful I don't laugh to much as it quickly turns hysterical, then becomes sobbing. Confuses the hell out of poor DH.

Biscotti76 · 03/02/2014 17:25

Feeling generally awful so cried about being tired. Then cried about crying about being tired. Have exhausted myself!

marzipanned · 03/02/2014 18:20

Inglorious that Tim Minchin song is devastating. I heard it and cried for ages. Then played it to DH and cried for ages more. I clicked on your link knowing it would be that one and then had to quickly close to the link because I can't face another gut wrenching session like those!

Yet another one who cries about those flamingos here :-)

And at any birth stories / programmes when baby is born ie call the midwife, one born etc but then I want to be a midwife so that may not be just hormonal

At the moment keep sobbing when I hear Katy Perry's firework, was first song I heard after my ERPC last year, and the line "maybe the reason why all the doors are closed is so you can open one that leads you down the perfect road" seems pretty poignant now I'm pregnant again.....

Actually welling up just writing this lol DH thinks I'm crazy xx

bugoven · 03/02/2014 19:56

Crying reading this thread because I wanted to see what everyone had written and have a giggle bit actually just reliving the flamingo misery. At least I haven't seen the Ariel advert today!

Inglori0us · 03/02/2014 20:00

marzipan it's brutal but it only makes me sob like a lunatic when pregnant. Last pregnancy I had it on in the car and had to pull over. I turned up at my mums (5 mins drive away) with snot and mascara everywhere.

Up is currently banned in our house.

Yesterday I barely held it together at the start of Finding Nemo...

SweetPea86 · 03/02/2014 20:01

Took a glance at my self in the mirror today after a bath that made me cry a lot. I haven't quite got the pregnancy glow. More Lala of the teletubies

SweetPea86 · 03/02/2014 20:03

Up before I was pregnant has to be the safest thing I have ever seen, seen the end of it over Christmas and couldn't hold it together. Glad I'm not the only one xx

MrsGiraffe12 · 03/02/2014 20:30

Ooohhh and Athletes song Wires. My god uncoupled have literally died from breathlessness crying x

RedCountryRoads · 03/02/2014 20:37

Apparently I was crying in my sleep last night. How random!

MummyPig24 · 03/02/2014 20:38

It was my birthday a few weeks ago and my brother asked what I would like. I asked for slippers. He asked what kind. I specified: short ankle boots like the ones I had, but with a hard sole. I got knee high slipper sock type things. I thanked him graciously. I cried over those bloody slippers after he left. They won't fit over my fat calves and the foot but flaps about. I appreciated the thought but I sobbed at the fact that I would now have to go shopping for slippers myself.

JeanBodel · 03/02/2014 20:45

I cried when I saw the video to Katy Perry's Firework, and I haven't been pregnant for years. It is heartbreaking.

erikab922 · 03/02/2014 21:08

I cried while watching Maury this morning and found out that the nice dead guy WAS the father (love those DNA paternity test shows).

Celestae · 04/02/2014 10:47

This pregnancy has made me cry over the most bizzarre stuff. one was a leaf blowing in the wind, another was a video on facebook about ficticious fairground ride.
Another time because in a photograph on the wall of the supermarket, it looked like someone was holding a snake but then i realised it was a basket handle and that set me off.

the list goes on, but then again even laughing makes me cry at the moment, doctor put me on happy pills and things have improved slightly.

on good days i laugh about it, because i know it is rediculous, i even laugh when i am crying sometimes... this baby has made me into a basket case heheh.. oh well only 2 month to go!

Dazedconfused · 04/02/2014 16:54

I just remembered about 2 weeks ago on a Saturday morning (before I knew was expecting) I was watching a childrens animal programme and I burst into tears because all the mother goats (forget the technical name) lost their kids during birth last year then I cried again because this year they all had their kids and they were so cute.

Then one of the mum goats had three babies and she rejected one of them so the keepers had to raise it...inconsolable....!

kind of makes sense now...

bopoityboo3 · 04/02/2014 17:18

garlic lamb. My mum had gone to great pains to cook me lamb with out garlic last time I was back visiting (whilst the main roast had garlic with it) I then forgot she'd made the gravy with the juices from the main roast and spent a good 10 minutes crying over how I'd ruined a lovely meal that she'd made for me by putting faintly garlic flavoured gravy on it.
Big gulping chocking sobs.

MyNameIsWinkly · 04/02/2014 17:20

DH judged me for crying at Buffy the Vampire Slayer this afternoon

Finnable · 07/02/2014 10:54

I was really mean to DH t'other night, for no particular reason, and when I got up to go to work at ridiculous o'clock in the morning, he'd made my lunch and left me a note saying he loved me.

Cried the whole 11 mile journey. More at the kindness than the cheese sandwiches, mind!

Celestae · 07/02/2014 11:29

over the last few days i have been crochetting a toy for my DS1 its one of his favourite tv characters and last night when it was finally finished, he told my other half that he thinks mummy is really clever and its the best ever toy.

well that was it... i had a good cry over how lovely this all was... sometimes i cry over happy things too lol.
