...because yesterday I cried because we ran out of raisins.

Proper full-on sobbing. I wasn't trying to cook something with them or anything. It wasn't some kind of culinary emergency. I just noticed we had run out.

Can anyone make me feel less pathetic by sharing their own stupid crying stories?

Ta.

I cried the other day when I thought about Dumbo...just thought about it. Then I told dh later and couldn't get the words out through my sobs to explain what is so upsetting about it.

icklekid · 02/02/2014 04:25

I was in pieces watching a film called Mary and Martha now it is quite sad so don't recommend it for pregnant ladies but I wasn't crying at the film I was crying in case future bump went to Africa and got malaria and died (like the people in the film) I've even been to Africa!!! DH had to genuinely consul me by saying if bump ever goes they will take medication etc but I was literally sobbing!

I feel a bit guilty for laughing but this thread is hilarious. I've been reading bits to DH to make him appreciate he's really only seen mild pregnancy moods so far (snappiness, grumpiness, sullenness, anxiousness) - he's now prepared for unexpected waterworks too.

cjdamoo · 02/02/2014 07:55

My worst was in my last pregnancy I cried so hard trying to watch I am Sam that I made myself sick and DH turned the TV off which made me cry harder because he was mean and controlling.

Oh and when I woke for the 4th time to pee and dh was laid sleeping peacefully and his lovey sleepy snuffling and grunting noises made me want to suffocate the fucker. How dare he sleep whilst I couldnt because of the truck on my bladder. Then the guilts for such horrible thoughts brought on a sob fest which woke him up. Why are you crying sweetie? Because sob hic I snuffle wanted to sob hold the pillow hic sob over your snuffle head, wails.

I welled up on Friday because I picked out a valentines card for oh and its really nice and the little verse is very true!

brought on tears in whsmith!

also bought bump a little tshirt other day, was showing oh and he went 'your going to cry arnt you?!'

it was just so teeny and cute and our actual baby is goin to wear it!!

beela · 02/02/2014 08:20

The time travellers wife had me in bits (but that happens when I'm not pregnant too).

smileyjess · 02/02/2014 10:50

I only found out i was pregnant recently but ive had my first major cry about not being able to fit in my clothes later. Full on half an hour sob. And im not a clothing person really. >_

Paul Young song on the radio yesterday. Wtf! Was in floods at the emotion of it all!

Inglori0us · 02/02/2014 12:51

Bug I also cried at the flamingo separation in Gnomeo & Juliet. Deeply upset by the loneliness of a fictional, animated decorative garden ornament.
Also the Christmas episode of Old Jacks Boat had me sobbing for at least 30 minutes. That was TOTALLY BRUTAL. It should've had a warning.

Inglori0us · 02/02/2014 12:54

Also this Tim Minchin song.

Tears streaming down my face while furiously hugging my (quite confused) 2yr old dd.
AhoyMcCoy · 02/02/2014 12:57

I wanted to go to centre parcs, so got sent a brochure with a DVD. Sobbed hysterically watching the DVD. DH came in and I was trying to explain why I was crying "These families just love each other so much"

OnTheRunAndUpTheDuff · 02/02/2014 13:12

Ah, I feel I'm just working up to the four-days-postpartum hormone-comedown sob-fest that I know is just around the corner.

Last time I spent a good half hour wailing at 2am because I missed my baby. I was holding him at the time. But I missed the one that was inside.

Also cried when I realised I'd bought a ham & pineapple pizza rather than pepperoni in the supermarket. Although I think that's quite a reasonable thing to be upset about, pregnant or not.

MoominIsGoingToBeAMumWaitWHAT · 02/02/2014 13:22

Cried three times watching Wicked yesterday.

Cried about there being no donuts left in ASDA, despite me not actually going for donuts or wanting them. It just upset you.

Cried because I laughed so much and then forgot what I was laughing for and it made me cry.

dobedobedo · 02/02/2014 13:41

DH said he needed new pyjamas. I burst into tears thinking that he was poor and neglected despite the fact he sleeps naked all the time and then I burst out laughing at the absurdity. So I was cry-laughing uncontrollably like a maniac.

chickenwing · 02/02/2014 13:54

I live in holland and I cried because i want a chippy Hmm

Tiptop32 · 02/02/2014 13:59

I cried last night cos I forgot to put garlic in the spag Bol that I had lovingly and in pain with the bloody dreaded spd prepared for dp when he got in from work... Didn't help that dp took the mick out of me :(

perfectview · 02/02/2014 14:09

I cried after my 12 week scan with dd1- not because I had seen my beautiful baby and I was overcome with the miracle of life, but because I thought about her all alone in the dark. Worse it was while I was telling colleagues about said scan.

dobedobedo · 02/02/2014 16:44

perfectview arf! Sorry that's hilarious!

Beanymonster · 02/02/2014 17:01

I cried because I didn't have enough duvet, I was honestly heartbroken..
My dp was mortified, and gave me 99% of it from then on...
A few nights later I cried because I had too much duvet and I was sad for the cold bit hanging off my side of the bed...

Becky2208 · 02/02/2014 18:52

I cried the other day watching a wildlife programme because a baby penguin died and the mother looked sad. I was inconsolable. For about an hour. And then I cried more because I was being so ridiculously emotional.

LePetitPont · 02/02/2014 18:57

Ha, another one here who cried at the heart-wrending tale of the poor flamingos, Bug - and I wasn't even preggers at the time! Will be sure to enforce a one mile exclusion zone from the opening sequences of Up once the random crying sets in ( just grumpy at the moment), would be utterly inconsolable!

Plateofcrumbs · 02/02/2014 20:14

My DH who doesn't cry at anything actually sobbed during Up. Seriously, do not go anywhere near this film if you're in any way emotionally fragile.

To be fair to DH it was whilst we were struggling TTC and I think it touched a nerve.

Legalbaby79 · 02/02/2014 20:18
