In hospital and feeling very fed up!!!

Came in on Friday with pains and midwife thought I was in labour! Pains showing on monitor every 4 minutes. Got myself all excited thinking my little princess was coming! Then........ It all stops!!
Still getting pains but no dilating! Now been diagnosed with water infection and put on antibiotics for 5 days and told I have to wait til the 12th for my c section as the hospital say that I will then be 38 weeks and 4 days! However I know 100% that they have my dates wrong and I am already 37 weeks and 5 days and just want my baby here!!
Fed up if being on the maternity ward and watching others come and go with their babies whilst I sit here having pains and getting no where!!
Sorry don't actually know what I want from this thread I'm just so fed up and needed a moan. Feel like I am cracking up!!! X

Yeah I actually feel better just knowing what is happening and why they are doing things!!
I'm glad they doing a scan as I will be able to see for myself that she is ok.

So now I am waiting for a time for my scan!! Hoping it will be this morning but could be this afternoon. They are going to check what's happening with baby and see if there is a reason I am not feeling her kicks as much at the moment. Said she may be kicking into placenta or she may not have much room but I'll soon know!! :-)
Once I have had that will then see doctor and hopefully all being well be able to go home!!!! Woohoo!! Xxx

Hi,
So things went a bit crazy today because my hemiplegia kicked off!! Funny though that I have waited to see a doctor since Sunday and within minutes there was three doctors and my consultant in my room! Lol.
They sent me for a scan and it shows that baby doesn't have much room and is quite tightly packed in now. So they have made the decision to keep me in until she is born so that they can monitor me every day. But they have decided to deliver her early so she will be born next Wednesday by c section. So only a week to wait and they are going to let me go home for a few hours on Saturday and then go out for tea with my DH on Sunday as long as I come straight back!!
I'm quite excited now and feel better that I know what's happening and they are doing something.

I get to go home for a few hours on Saturday so gonna set her crib up and get everything all ready for her coming home :-) I am so excited and have a million things running through my head lol xx

I had to be in hospital for 4 weeks before mine, so I know how you were feeling. I was very tired though, so I took full advantage of the rest. I too had a planned c section on a wednesday. I knew the babes were coming on either a monday wednesday or friday. Quite odd. I and the docs however were trying to get them[multiple] as far as they could go so I was doing everything they told me to. And I wasnt allowed home at weekends. Remember it all well.
Day after bonfire night. Easy for people to remember.

Oh good, glad you've now seen the docs (lots of them) and that there is a care plan/timescale in place which they've explained to you, it must be a huge relief! Hope this next week flies past and you have a lovely time nesting this weekend!

Thanks!! I am hoping this week goes quickly but I have a feeling its not going to!!
Have just spoken to my hairdresser and booked in for my hair to be done whilst I am out on Saturday to cheer myself up a bit and make me feel a bit better. And my DH said he is taking me out for dinner on Sunday so that will be nice!!
Just gonna try and keep myself occupied til Wednesday. Midwives are being great tho and one in particular has been amazing and booked me into some parenting and breast feeding classes whilst I'm here just to get me off the ward for a little bit :-) xx

Are you pacing the same corridors, up and down, up and down?! I was in for a long time with 2 other ladies. Everyone else went home at the weekend except for us. One of the ladies was into sport, a PE teacher, and she had a ball which she constantly threw at the wall to keep herself occupied and doing some slight exercise!

Fantastic princess so glad that you can put your mind at ease now and look forward to getting an update from you next weds!!

Ah I'm so pleased for you!

She is doing great Thankyou, we are hoping to go home today, just got to wait for one more test result! So excited, her daddy is dying for us to come home now.

I can't beleive how quickly its gone either, you wait your 6 days will fly by!!

I know but I think counting down the hours of each day is making it go a little slower lol. Gonna start shopping online for my last few bits!!
Ah I bet u can't wait to get home with her! My DH can't wait already and she isn't even here yet!! He is already planning a meal for my first night home and when people can come and visit. Lol.

Just a little update.... The doctors have decided I am well enough to go home today and just come in each morning to be monitored!! So I am sat all dressed and packed waiting for my meds so I can go. Lol.
I will then come back on Wednesday to have my little princess!! :-)
I am so excited to go home and spend some time with my DH and get everything ready for our little angel to come home next week!!

Thank u!! I can't believe how excited I am to go home to my own house!! Its crazy how much you take for granted until we are away and separated from DH!! I just can't wait to cuddle up on the sofa lol xx
