Welcome to kitkat and huff so pleased that you're here, lots of lovely ladies who know "the fear" you're currently going through and they're great at advices - steam cleaners to random bleeds. I hope EPU kitkat brings you the reassurance you need.

LuckySocks13 · 12/11/2013 12:54

Hi all. Just jumping in quick as not read the whole of last few pages yet and on phone. I have been wearing the Bravado bras for the last few months. Figured I'd get the most of my money. They are so so so comfortable. I've got 3 medium and going to order another in large I think as I seem to remember a few leaky accidents now and again!

LuckySocks13 · 12/11/2013 13:02

Welcome to the thread Huff and Kitkat. Sorry for your losses. Plenty of support and hand holding around here which has kept my sanity overt the last 9 months plus.

shellsocks · 12/11/2013 13:21

I'd forgotten abt the leaky boobs in the shower garden Grin Towel drying after the shower while your boobs are dripping milk should be a round in the krypton factor Wink

Great tips re nursing bras, I would just add that they do go massive when the milk comes in but settle down a bit again after a while so bear that in mind too Smile

Hi gary / boba Grin Sounds great that DS1 is now bessy mates with DS2, it must be so lovely Smile Have you all settled into a good routine now then, how are the days/nights now (I assume) your DP is back at work and you have been going solo for a few weeks? Smile

Glad you are feeling better pixie Smile I'm NW too, on the Wirral - you?

Welcome huff and kit and congrats Smile Hope things go smoothly for you from now on x Good luck at EPU kit Smile

So no news from me Hmm Been ill all day (sick and fainting Hmm no diarrhoea since yesterday pm tho Smile) so just another shit day in the saga that is this pregnancy! Due day today so I know defo no baby Wink Starting to be resigned to induction at 42w, dunno why tho as I went into labour naturally with DS at 40+12....just feeling sorry for myself as usual ConfusedGrin

kitkat glad you have a scan - do you know how far along you are? A lot of the others have had experience with this, be prepared for them not to be able to see much and don't let it panic you. In very early pregnancy they sometimes can't see anything or they can often only see a yolk sac and won't be able to detect a heartbeat. A lot of the time they can't detect a heartbeat until 7/8 weeks. Keeping fingers crossed for you xx

Pixielady83 · 12/11/2013 14:17

kitkat finger crossed for tomorrow.

shell I'm north lancs, so not that far! so sorry you're feeling rubbish again. Really hope the end is in sight for you now x

kitkat321 · 12/11/2013 14:22

Thanks everyone - it's good to know that I'm not alone in this!

Katatonic - congrats and thanks for the reassurance!

I have no clue how far along I am. Mc on 2nd October and been ttc again since the 10th so might be too early to see anything!

GardenWorm · 12/11/2013 15:23

OMG Shell that baby needs to come OUT OUT OUT! I've never known anyone so unlucky with sickness at the end of their pregnancy, come on sweep work your magic Grin

....you lucky ladies in the NE, it's raining and grey down sarf east

Oh Shell surely your bubba must be about to arrive! Must be so frustrating for you at the moment. Keeping fingers and toes crossed it gets here very soon.

I just got a helluva shock when I looked in the mirror this afternoon and realised there is actually a tiny bump there! Admittedly it's cushioned on a fair bit of fat but there is an undeniable sticking-out bit! Told DH and he said he was a bit gutted I hadn't let him photo 'document' my pregnancy. I feel a bit bad but it's not like I'm some skinny minny - felt so awful up til now I didn't want anyone with a camera going anywhere near my stomach!

kitkat321 · 12/11/2013 16:40

Thanks Katatonic - I'm not expecting to see much but it just feels like the right thing to do given previous mc and the cramping/spotting I've had today which has thankfully pretty much gone.

I don't know if this means I'll still need a further early scan or if the pregnancy does continue if I'd just have to wait for the 12 week one.

TeaAndANatter · 12/11/2013 16:47

Wow! You guys have been busy!

Sorry to hear about the dodgy bum Shell. Very normal, and very well done for speaking about it.

Welcome new chaps Huff and Kit.

I am now measuring a 32H (actually a 30H but I draw the line at the hell of trying to buy one of those bad boys!). And I'm only 17.5 weeks. What the hell am I going to do in the second half? Hammocks? Scaffolding? Those nets that they trawl for fish with? Suggestions welcomed. (Was a 30DD pre-this one). Grumpy at expense of new bra every 4 weeks. Have to look online for a 32I??? before I grow out of this H. I can fit my head in one cup please God leave me with some of it when the baby's done unlike last time when, frankly God, they looked like a couple of tangerines in long socks

20 week scan two weeks tomorrow. Had odd pains in lower left bump yesterday, and trying to not worry too much. Bit constipated, but don't think it's that. Called midwife, and she told me not to worry yuh, right, so I'm hanging on til midwife appt Thursday.

livingzuid · 12/11/2013 17:02

Kitkat I just got back from my lovely gp who I also cried all over and who said I should not have been alarmed by not seeing much around 7 weeks. He was surprised they wanted to scan so early (and bemused as to why I got told what I did but that is another story) . He said you are very fortunate if you see a heart beat that early but all the normally do this early is confirm it is not ectopic and that there is something going on and not to worry at all about seeing so little. Heartbeat he said could sometimes only be picked up as late as 10 weeks. So I was told not to fret, eat bland food every hour, got sickness pills thank god and see what happens at my next scan in a couple of weeks. So don't worry if there is nothing much there as others have said and good luck :) glad you are feeling better!

kjh5 · 12/11/2013 18:11

Tea I'm with you on bra horror - have leaped up to a 34HH. Had to give in and buy new bras this week as couldn't breathe in my old ones. I don't understand why they need to get bigger! I'm fairly certain they're bloody massive enough to feed the baby as it is! I get all my underwear from bravissimo... I'm hoping to breastfeed and I'm really depressed at the monoboob monstrosities masquerading as 'nursing bras'. They're all hideous!

kjh5 · 12/11/2013 18:14

Oh and Tea on bump pains - are you sure it's not ligament stretching type cramps? I've been getting them quite a lot in odd places. Hope all goes well with MW appt x

BobaFetaCheese · 12/11/2013 18:19

Welcome Huff and Kit.

My private scan with DS2 was at 7+4wks and he was a little blob with a smaller blob beating away, so fingers crossed you get to see your blob tomorrow Kit!

Shell, DS2 was born on a Tuesday & DH was back at work on the Thursday. Amazing the difference a good birth makes, he's a fantastic baby, has been sleeping through the night since he was a month or so. DS1 was a hellspawn nightmare baby & we've done nothing different!
Fingers crossed everything starts for you soon!

Tea, two bras. I wore two sports bras most days (most comfortable), although I didn't plan on bf so underwire bras also helped contain the beasts!

Tomkat79 · 12/11/2013 18:29

kjh how have you managed to conceal a bump until now! I'm almost 16w and am getting the daily 'not long now' from strangers and 'are you sure it's not twins' from everyone else. A lady even offered me her seat on the underground! I am mahooosive and very very conscious!

Welcome lovely newbies...lots of support here x

kjh5 · 12/11/2013 18:54

Tomkat I think the answer to that would be: avoiding mirrors and wearing baggy jerseys! I also feel very self conscious, I've taken to wearing a Baby On Board badge everywhere I go so people know I'm pregnant and not just suddenly piling on the pounds! It's silly isn't it? You obviously know you are going to get bigger and it's the one time in your life when putting on weight is desirable - but that doesn't make the reality any easier. That said the 'twins' remarks are just uneccessary! I'm sure you are about the same size as most 16week ladies! Xx

IBelieveInPink · 12/11/2013 19:04

Hello to the newbies. Welcome aboard!!

Yes to the twins comments!! As some here will remember, I had comments from about 15 weeks onwards when bump popped. However have been consistently measuring small despite hiding a hippo people don't have a clue really.

So, just a little question.... How do you know when your waters have gone? As in, if you stood up from a nap, and felt a trickle, which carried on, then turned a little jelly like, would you consider this waters, plug, or just big standard discharge?? Hmm?

BobaFetaCheese · 12/11/2013 19:13

Ahhh! Pink! Grin
My waters went with a trickle, twice, felt like I'd just pissed myself. Only knew it wasn't wee because it didn't smell like it...sniff your knickers!!
Good luck!

Pixielady83 · 12/11/2013 19:17

ooh pink that sounds VERY promising! mine started with a trickle and then kept coming! jelly like could be your plug?

Polka2 · 12/11/2013 19:24

Love 'sniff your knickers' advice! pink really hope it's the startWink

kjh5 · 12/11/2013 19:39

Ooh Pink this sounds promising! Have been scaring myself witless reading about the stages of labour today to try and prepare myself for it in one of those no nonsense books that tells you 'how it really is' and sounds like you could be on your way. Fingers crossed for a new thread baby!!!

Honey786 · 12/11/2013 19:46

Hello ladies

Hope u don't mind me joining, have been hovering and finally thought I would post as I have questions now and then and who better to ask for advice.

I'm 17+4 weeks after having a mmc in March this year. I feel extremely anxious about everything to do with this pregnancy even after being reassured at 12 week scan and hearing the heartbeat at 16weeks.

TEA, I'm with u on the bra situation, mine seem to be growing and growing! Bought two last week which are already beginning too feel too small. Any advice on this would be helpful.
